Woody's River Roo Pub & Grill reviews
45Great atmosphere, service, fantastic food, hot and fresh, our whole group loved it! Definitely will go back!
Went for the first time this past weekend on the way home which was another hour drive. Busy but still had parking available. Dog friendly so brought our puppy. Only had time for 2 drinks so we proceeded to the dock bar and a table on the pier overlooking the water. Was pleasantly surprised of the super fast service by the bartender who stopped by numerous times to see how we were doing. Atmosphere is fantastic and friendly. A bunch of people stopped by to talk and meet our puppy. Would definitely stop again!
Great food and great atmosphere! This place is bigger than it looks! We love sitting outside, watching the fish and people! Everything we've had has always been delicious and it's always pretty busy so I'd say it's a pretty big hit with most people. Fresh fish and seafood for all the seafood lovers and lots to choose for the non-seafood lovers ️
Great view and decent pub food. Come by boat too. A great weekend place to hang out after a day on the boat.
All.around perfect. Especially our server. I think his name was guano. He looks like Bruno mars lol but excellent service atmosphere and.food
What a great place. Lots of covered outside seating with an amazing view over the water. Friendly wait staff too. Good variety on the menu.
Loved it, food and service excellent. Friends from Florida loved it also, she lives in Naples. Said they come back again. I'm from Illinois, thanks.
Took 1 1/2 hours to get food for three people while others tables that came in 30 minuets later got their food before us.
We were finally successful on our 2nd attempt to visit this restaurant. The parking is nuts. As in, there is none. So they have an extremely small parking area, and then they have a "Valet". This is an outdoor grill, why in the world is there valet? Why not just open the entire parking lot to your customers, now I have to fork out extra $ for a parking space. Seating is first come first serve. There is a little "island" area with seating by the mucky green river. After walking around the entire restaurant we were able to snag a table as soon as someone got up. The band was playing @ 2pm. Service was prompt. We were advised food wouldn't be out until 30 mins after we ordered. We quickly ordered drinks. I ordered a Woodys "perfect" margarita. Its 90 something degrees out so I suck down my first one, wasn't great but it was decent. I ordered another one and realize it kind of sucks. The waitress and manager attempted to make it right with me, but it just wasn't good. Probably the quality of the mixer that was used. I wont order that again. Husband ordered grouper bites, which he swears wasn't real grouper. Fish basket & kids fried shrimp were just okay. I guess I just expected more out of a place with pretty good reviews that always has a full parking lot, and valet for heavens sake. Ill try it again for the atmosphere (outside grill, live music) but now I know what to expect.
OK restaurant but parking is a big problem. Had to park across street in the empty Furniture Warehouse lot on a Saturday night and my car was towed. Cost $221 to retrieve from Tys Towing. I won't be going back to Woody's.
Hopping waterfront bar and restaurant. I wouldn't come for the food, mixed drinks are just ok, but the live music and location are appealing. This is a good place to have a few beers with friends!
Love the outdoor on the water atmosphere. Great live music and you have got to try their mudslides, so so gr8.
I have visited Woody's in the past and it was a pleasant, eclectic place but this time my wife and I had one of the most enjoyable lunches we have ever had. Everything was perfect from the moment we were seated until the last Coctail overlooking the river. We are actually planning a Woody's Weekend and will grab a hotel or cabin close by and boat or bike there for breakfast, lunch and dinner.
Definitely 5 Stars or more if I could.
Sincerely
Jer Middleton
Good food, great atmoshpere, great live bands, however they no longer allow dogs, only service dogs. We have been coming by boat and car for years with the pups, and now wont be there as often
Don't miss this well known hotspot on the water. Specialties are fresh fish, especially Grouper. Lots of outdoor covered seating. Very busy during Season, short on parking but they do have valet: plan on it. Seems like every time we have been there there is a band. Enjoy your favorite adult beverage with your friends.
A nice view overlooking the Manatee River and looking up at the I-75 overpass. The food is okay and the service is good.
You can sit inside or outside. They usually have some music playing so you can dance if you want to. The food is average. But you can sit outside on the water and that is nice
Soul r coaster was GREAT; lose points since you no longer allow my dog! Lost much of my, and fellow dog owner's business.too bad.
Atmosphere awsome by the river setting.wait staff great good entertainment.the food is always awsome
