Xixón Spanish Restaurant, Miami FL

Seems like an upscale Spanish restaurant. I have no complaints about the food other than the fried calamari was REALLY greesy. My server was top notch. They had a live performer, but he was in the outdoor area

I ordered the langostinos which were not on the menu. Most places do not have it at all, but Xixon had it. I ordered them grilled. My wife ordered fresh cod on chickpeas, and tasted it. Also the dish was fantastic. They only problem I had that I wanted good Spanish brandy after the meal and the langostinos were pricey ($49), and they were emptied. I won't hold them against that, because that can happen anywhere. I have not had good Spanish food in years.

Excellent attention in the Deli, especially Cibels who took care of me and explained everything about the different types of hams and sausages. Highly recommend and will be back soon!

The truth is that it is a bit expensive, we were only 4 people and the bill was $500 and something, the food was not bad but not very good compared to other Spanish restaurants in Miami.

I'm not a person that usually leaves reviews but this one restaurant deserves one.
I can only say it is GREAT, the staff is amazing and the food out of this world.
If you are a Spaniard and miss home, this is the place as the flavors and the food preparation is 95% equal as you would find in any restaurant in Spain.
If you are not a Spaniard and are looking to try something new, this is also for you. However, be mindful that the food is going to be tastier that you may be used to.

It always exceeds our expectations. We try to order different dishes every time, but our core favorites are padron peppers, little chorizos in wine sauce, fois gras with grapes, garbanzos fritos, egg with tuna & caviar, jamon iberico. I could go on.

Food was amazing, we had the pulpo and seafood paella, the girls had sangria and it was super good too, easy to park even though is on Coral way, they had vallet $12, but we rather park around the corner, great selection of wine as well

The food was delicious. We ordered the shrimp and octopus taps as appetizers. For the main dish we ordered rice in black ink with calamari and shrimp. We were there and couldn't eat it all. The bread was fresh and hot.

The cheese croquetas were no good as before, but the rest of the food was excellent. The service with Adri was excellent like always. The A/C were no working very well.

Gaspacho, Jerez champinones, foie gras a la planche, gambas in a coconut sauce and flan were delicious. We love this restaurant, it is the best Spanish restaurant in Miami.

My family and I visit this restaurant on a yearly basis. Tonight we decided to celebrate my mom’s bday. WRONG CHOICE!
Not only was the reservation taken down wrong, but the food presentation and flavor was poor.

I ordered a delivery and didn't receive what I payed for. I did not receive the mashed potatoes and the seafood paella arrived without flavor and without even a gram of salt, terrible, the worst.

It was my first visit but you can notice that they are a Good staff Food is excellent and the rest is just an invitation to be back soon

Recently, I had the pleasure of dining at Xixon, a Spanish restaurant located in Coral Gables. While the ambiance was quiet and unremarkable, the staff was friendly, and the food was excellent. Ambience:
The ambiance at Xixon was quiet, but nothing special. However, we appreciated that the restaurant was pet-friendly and were able to bring our dogs with us to the outdoor seating area.

Food:
The food at Xixon was excellent, starting with the Croquetas of Queso Manchego and the ones with Jamon Serrano. They were flavorful and delicious. The meat paella was also exceptional, although it was advertised as a dish for two people, it was enough to feed more than two. We highly recommend trying the meat paella at Xixon, it's a must-try for anyone who loves Spanish cuisine.

Drinks:
We ordered the white sangria, which was average. While it was good, it wasn't the best we've had in town.

Conclusion:
Overall, Xixon is a must-visit for anyone looking for excellent Spanish cuisine in Coral Gables. The food was outstanding, the staff was friendly, and the pet-friendly atmosphere was a plus. While the ambiance was nothing special, the quality of the food makes up for it. We highly recommend trying the Croquetas and meat paella.

The service was very good, the Rioja wine chosen was excellent, the table of ham, cheese and chorizo, very decent, the suckling pig, overheated but it was good, BUT I ASKED FOR A KIDNEY WITH POTATOES AND THEY BROUGHT ME A PIECE OF BIBEYE THAT WAS 60% IT WAS PURE FAT, A CUT WRONGLY DONE AND POORLY COOKED, WHICH GAVE THE WAITER A LOT OF SORRY, BUT THE MANAGER DID NOTHING TO SOLVE THAT.

UPDATE APRIL 5 2033: Excellent. Excellent. We went for tapas and wine. Sat at the bar and had a wonderful time. There's new decor! Looks smart. Excellent service, food and wine. Will keep coming back

I don't know if the restaurant changed ownership. On the menu it said 5Jots serving $59.00 hand cut. Surprise is from a plastic bag or machine-cut boneless Iberian ham… customers cannot be fooled….

Not worth it. The waiter was unfriendly and the food overall was ok. Seemed like they were rushed to get us out of there, as the paella wasn’t fully cooked. We left restaurant very disappointed.
