Hands-down one of the best experiences we have had! This is totally worth the money! We booked this several months in advance and had been looking forward to it for quite some time. We arrived at the parking garage they suggested around 6: 30AM and walked to the terminal. We waited no more than 15 minutes and the doors opened and we were checked in. They hand out numbered passes and that is the order in which you board - so get there early if you want to pick a seat! They provide breakfast (bagel, fruit cups, juice, coffee, yogurt, etc.) and lunch (Jersey Mikes subs) on the boat. The boat ride we had was smooth for about 2-2.5 hours and there is an audio guide throughout providing information on the boat, Dry Tortugas National Park, and the surrounding areas. You get roughly 3.5 - 4 hours on the island and it is beautiful! The views are amazing as well. Also included in the price is admission to the Fort and snorkeling equipment. We took part in exploring the Fort and snorkeling off the beach. Everyone we interacted with was friendly, accomodating, and knowledgeable. We would definitely take this trip again!

Tour Guide Dan was exceptional. His commentary onboard the ferry was too long and many phased out, but his delivery of information on the fort was very engaging and brought history to life.

What an experience! Two and a half hour ferry ride to DTNP. Excellent staff. Primary concern is for the passenger. Dramamine available for seasick travellers. Great information on surrounding sights on the way out. All parameters explained in detail.

$185 feels steep for this 70 miles out and 70 miles back, but the Dry Tortugas should be on everyone's bucket list.
The Yankee Freedom staff was very friendly and made the two 2.5 hour rides enjoyable. I had feared we would get sea sick, but our day was pretty calm. I wonder if most days are calm because they didn't seem to have any expectation of folks getting sick.
The lunch included with the trip was ok, nothing special. But the prices for snacks were very cheap - full size candy bars were just $1.00. I think you could get a hamburger for less than $10 on the ferry, too.
Have fun with the folks and staff - ask them about the park, etc and enjoy the ride.
We saw a rainbow and a waterspout on the ride out.

The staff is amazing and hardworking.
The trip is pretty long but it's part of the experience. The destination, of course, is amazing.

We enjoyed the tour. Weather was perfect. The A/C helped keep us cool on the ride to and from the fort. Breakfast was good. We knew it was a continental breakfast and we enjoyed it. Lunch was Jersey Mike's and it was very good. We toured the fort first because it was so hot and humid. We then went back to the boat and enjoyed lunch inside the A/C to cool off. After lunch, we went to North beach to snorkel. We saw many fish. We were told that the jellies were swimming so we looked out for them.there were alot of them but we did not have any issues because we kept a look out for them. 1 or 2 of the other guests did get stung and the staff had an anti-sting spray bottle ready to help as soon as they were told. The staff was amazing. We enjoyed the opportunity to buy tropical drinks, sodas and snacks on the way back to Key West. We really enjoyed the day and would like to some day take this tour again. Thanks for a great trip out and back.

The park and camping there is awesome. This review is for the ferry. Went camping using the ferry for three nights. Picked up some beach trash and garbage, some of it left behind by day trippers. Brought the extra bag of trash to the crew when we went to leave and they refused to take it for disposal, said "that's park service trash" because it wasn't in a grey garbage bag. Asked for a grey bag to put it in, they refused. So their tourists can create this garbage and leave snorkels and plastic bottles around but they can't take one extra lousy bag back? No wonder the reef is a mess when we have companies and people not willing to do their part to keep it clean. It's 100% all of us that need to pitch in. Not just the underpaid and over worked park service. They are profiting from the park and can't be bothered to remove by one bag of beach garbage. Pretty despicable.

So many people got sick. Had to clean someone else puke off my legs and shoes. Other than that it was a beautiful day

From beginning to end the service provided by Yankee Freedom was outstanding. As I was camping overnight I had to get there early and they were ready to quickly load my gears. The service onboard was great and although a lot of people were sick from the rough seas, they were there to help them all. They made a special sandwich for me since I am vegetarian. I would certainly do this trip again.

The experience was amazing. Absolutely loved it. I would make sure to go when the jellyfish are not in season, though that was the only small drawback to our snorkeling experience. Otherwise, it was a very memorable experience that I would highly recommend. I also would add that the Pina colodas on the trip back were the Best!

Totally awesome operation. Be warned, we went on a day with rough seas and half the ship was losing their luch. That being said, the staff was incredibly attentive in taking care of people. Galley had food to buy but free water and ginger ale. The ride was about 2 hrs and 15 minutes and the time you spend at the fort is about 4 hours. Jersey Mike’s subs served at lunch with bagels in the morning. Snorkels and fins provided. The fort is beautiful and so cool that you are out 70 miles from anything.

Recommended for those that have no issues with sea sickness. If you can get past that, well worth the visit.
