Yardbird Table & Bar, Miami Beach FL

Joe and Lafayette are the best ever thanks so much for the kind service and conversation - We have been to Yardbird restaurants all over the USA and this one is by far the best.

Used to absolutely love this place. We brought our 2 year old son thinking we were going to get the same experience we used to as regulars in the passed. There was a roach crawling around my chicken and waffles. I let the waitress know, and I was very understanding as this could happen in any kitchen. A manager or owner rushed out to apologize and said he would take care of all of our food. I lost my appetite but ate it regardless. We were deciding to just leave at the sight of the roach but the manager seemed like he cared enough to make up for the experience so we stayed. Everything was way too salty, and did not taste like the Yardbird we used to know. We ordered desert since the waiter told us it was free. We then asked him if he could just ring us up for the drink (since they communicated to us the whole bill would be taken care of) so that we could tip him $50.
We then receive a bill with everything minus the chicken and waffles that had the roach crawling in it which averaged out to about $160.

They came out to give us free candy. Sweet, but Not enough to make up for losing my appetite, being lied to about our bill being taken care of and waiting so long when the whole restaurant was practically empty.

When this place opened several years ago it was new, innovative and a great alternative to Miami’s restaurant’s scene.

Now it’s menu is tired and uninspiring, with several locations in miami offering similar dishes with flare, creativity, and amazing tastes.

This restaurant's history includes its place in the infamous 2014 FSU law professor murder. Seems the ex wife's brother who ordered the hit was a regular. Evidently he brought his sister here afterward to celebrate his handiwork but she barfed up all her food due to nerves. Can't wait to go here someday.

Second time visiting this spot and just amazing as the first. Being from Tennessee it’s hard to find some good southern dining here in Miami, but this place definitely meets the mark. Get the whole bird and split with a friend or family member! Ask for Isiah if he is there, amazing service and took great care of us. Will definitely be back!

Grabbed dinner solo, I would have sat at the bar but it was full so I took a table. Immediately I can tell Isaiah the server was not happy I assume bc I’m a small party (less gratuity). All night he ignored me. I asked for the cocktail menu and he never asked what cocktail I would like. When my table was cleared he continued looking over me. When I asked for the check he gave me a look as if I was bothering him. He told me to wait. He got a table some water then my check. Not a great experience for $50 waffles. They might have been worth it if the service was good. You can get chicken and waffles for half the cost with ten times better service. I called and asked to speak to a manager just to inform them and was told one will call me back. That was days ago, still no call. Bottom line this place isn’t worth it.

Yardbird is one ofy all-time favorites. It never fails in it's consistently good food and service.

Wonderful food, super tasty and excellent presentation! Impeccable service and in Portuguese from Santiago! We loved it and will be back on our next visit to Miami Beach

Sat at the tables right outside the kitchen, it was not too busy, but the servers seemed like they were. The food was way pricey for what you’re getting imo, maybe you’re just paying for location… the burger was pretty good but not $24 good, chicken biscuits sliders for $18 and chicken was chewy and biscuit was on the dry side… the fries were meteocre and almost fresh, maybe it’s cos we were watching our food sit on the kitchen counter for 10mins.
Mac and cheese came in a tiny bowl $15 and was like 4 big bites, and wasn’t even good.
I can name so many places that can do better, I sound harsh only because this place was hyped and didn’t live up any where close to it. And I came hungry.

I never leave reviews, but this place deserves it. Best chicken I’ve ever had. Deviled eggs were fire too

This place was highly recommended from my cousin when I was visiting in town and let me tell you, I was pleased. Grade A + fine dining.the restaurant was full / obviously because it’s amazing, so we chose to sit at the bar, and the experience was just as fabulous as sitting in a booth. And the drinks were great too

Very good restaurant with excellent value for money. Must try as the food is inspired by the flavors of Florida.

For 4 French we ordered:
1 starter, 3 dishes, 2 sides was more than enough the proportions are generous.

Lovely food (brunch) with lots of stable dishes like pancakes, eggs, and more with a sophisticated twist. Pricey ($350 for 4 people, including 3 alcoholic drinks). The presentation of the dishes was superb and the flavors were to die for. Our server was a bit annoying, asking constantly to get our order (we were meeting family after a long time) after we told him we needed several minutes and would let him know when we were ready.

One of the best reasonably priced meals we had on Miami Beach at $200 for 4. I recommend the shrimps and grits. We liked the big open space and the atmosphere although a bit more light in the evening would be good, we couldn’t see to read the menu.

This is one place I would always recommend, the people here are lovely, nice, welcoming, and the food is super tasty, flavors present, drinks really good. Amazon experience, always a pleasure to go when I am in Miami.
