We had a wonderful experience at YellowDog. It was a longtime coming and it was well worth the wait. From Start to finish Everything was spot on! Definitely will be back. Hopefully sooner than later…

This restaurant is so beautiful with great views but if I'm paying almost $200 for a dinner of 2 I expect everything to be perfect. The lamb was raw and not the way we asked- the risotto was horrible, the manager never even came out to apologize or anything. Good basic steak and good dessert wouldn't waste my time on it twice. Plenty of good fine dining options near where the experience is immaculate

This well known and reputable river front café tucked away in one of the hidden jewels of coastal Atlantic Florida needs no glowing review from me.but it was my first time and I had a wonderful experience.

It's beautifully modelled and furnished, the vistas of the Sebastian inlet are uplifting, the amazing menu is health conscious and generously portioned in its entirety (even dessert), and most importantly the staff is sharp as a tack and friendly.which brings me to why I'm bothering to write the glowing review that Yellow Dog Café doesn't even need from me.

For whatever reason, lets call it the "Sunday lazy's", I forgot my wallet and was unable to show ID at our table for a drink. Now, I'm a 36 year old man who worked events and hospitality in Miami Florida for years, and knows better than to forget my wallet, even if I know someone is treating. Anyways, I get told at least once a week that I'm young looking, and like any middle aged person enjoy the complement of being carded.a member of my party however did not take it as lightly as I did.

Long story short, what could have turned into an utter disaster was beautifully handled by the Yellow Dog staff, to the manger on duty was saavy and swift enough to call the owner.who smoothly gave me the eyeball test and "what decade where you born in" quiz before signaling that I was good to drink.

About two hours later, we'd had several rounds of drinks, 3 courses including dessert, and had a healthy tab to show for it. It was worth every penny, and I will be back with myself and others for sure!

Shoutout to Carmen, Madelyn, and of course Stuart.

I love the crab bisk soup, the old blue spinach salad, focaccia bread and blackened salmon with lobster safron cream sauce!

Bar tender was rude! The salmon was over cooked. We complained to manager was said I stand by my employee! Absolutely not focused on customer service.

Ok I have been coming to the yellow dog since I was a little girl I’ll be 35 this year I always Bragg about how good the food is but the last two times I went the food quality and flavor has gone way way way down hill I was there this pass saterday giving it a go one more time as it was a friend’s birthday treat from me I wanted to impress her and my friends and was extremely embarrassed of how unseasoned the dishes were for the price I paid for two people we could have went to Applebees or the lazy turtle and have better tasting food
The food was flavorless I’ve never had to put salt or pepper on anything even my friends I brought with me where underwhelmed with the flavor quality no spice no pizzazz the gravy on the Jager schnitzel was extremely bland mushroom gravy is supposed to be salty and savory stop catering to rich old people taste buds and put some seasoning in your food our waitress was fantastic though

Dinner service went well. Management and upstairs bartender extremely unprofessional and dismissive. Disappointing experience.

Went to yellow dogs. Expected a lot more for the price. Owner came up to us, And asked us how was the food. We explained to him it was ok, he immediately moved on.
But as soon as he went to the next few tables next to us, he wanted to know about there hole life. He had a full conversation with all of them.
I dont want to assume, but Maybe it was because of the braids in my hair.
, or the color of my skin, I'm not for sure.
But I am a franchise owner, an airbnb Owner and i own a jet ski rental That's only 8 minutes away from him. Along the same river.
He didn't take the time to get to know us, as much as he did everyone else.

We don't only go out for the food, but the entire experience.
That was our first time going there. And for $177 dollars, we won't return. Not worth it.

Came here for our 2 year wedding anniversary and just wow. We got an amazing view, saw a rainbow, saw dolphins, and the food was phenomenal.

Had great service. Enjoyed the house made Sangria. It was a real treat and good value for the drink size. Louisiana Shrimp and grits was good. The red fish blackened special lacked flavor and was a little disappointing, especially considering the price. Lobster bisque was flavorful but was not as good as others we had in the area. The view was great, waitress outstanding, atmosphere very nice. Just couldnt give a 5th star on the food making the value a little less than expected.

This adorable little restaurant offers an absolutely stellar dining experience. The food and service are stellar, and the atmosphere is low-key amazing. The view over the Indian River Lagoon is beautiful, and you can even enjoy a nice after dinner stroll along their pier. The food is absolutely top-notch, and the drinks are amazing, but the real star of the show are their desserts. It will be difficult given how good everything else is, but save room because you will NOT regret it!

Incredible view. Witnessed a hawk eat a fish ……and many pelicans enjoy the view. Carmen is a fantastic and gracious server. The multi level restaurant is beautiful, and the food was delicious. Be sure to try the Deep Eddy Sweet Tea vodka Palmer. 10/10 recommend

Certainly a gem of the area with well trained staff, outstanding river views and a creative chef. In house made everything with the subtle touches to make your experience memorable.

Very disappointing lunch 2 wks ago-the filet mignon was ordered med well but was red inside, sent it back, it was returned burned outside and still red on the inside. The pork schnitzel was dry, tasteless and a flat circle like maybe it was frozen, not freshly made? The menu said it came with spatzle so when I asked our waitress, she simply said, Oh, it has mashed potatos. For $32 for the filet mignon and $25 for the schnitzel, I expected a delicious, properly cooked meal at the least. When the waitress saw the filet mignon was uneaten & we told her what happened, she sent the manager over & she was very kind and apologetic & didn't charge us it, thankfully. When our waitress said watermelon salad was a special that day, I asked if the watermelon was cold or grilled. She mocked me & was condescending when she said, "Ewww, who grills watermelon, of course it's not grilled". Even the bread basket was subpar- used to serve a variety of rolls but now it's just slices of bread. Won't ever return to Yellow Dog which is a shame because it used to be great~

Beautiful restaurant- view on the water for lunch or a sunset dinner.
The food is always great and the service as well. Enjoy!

The food was mediocre. This review focuses mostly on a dangerous outcome of mandatory valet parking. The parking is on the western side of US Highway1! Patrons must cross the fast moving and congested Highway with its 4 lanes of traffic traveling 60+ mph to dine. It is ludicrous to think this is safe! It is NOT! The yellow lights flash and one car might stop while the cars in the next 3 lanes zoom right by. Yellow Dog Cafe used to think more of their patrons. The young valets would do the parking across the highway and the patrons could park near the restaurant. It is NOT SO anymore! Why the change?
This is an idiotic and dangerous decision made by Yellow Dog owners and I will not return. I value my life too much.
