Yum Yum Hot Pot reviews
18 Lots of good reviews, but not for me
I spend $90 for 2 adults 1 kid
It's only soup!
I was in Orlando 6 months ago and I went to one of these places, The atmosphere lot better, vegetables you have 10 times more options, meats 2-3 times more variety, they have Korean BBQ and I spent like $70
and if you dont like the broth they charge you $5 extra to change it.
Not worth it for me, sorry
As a Taiwanese in the United States, I have been going there from Vero Beach spending 40 minutes drive 2-3 times a week since I found this hot pot restaurant. I am a very loyal customer, but recently they have removed crab meat, beef tripe and fish from the lunch side dishes. Ice cream flavors are often lacking and not replenished. I was very disappointed and didn't feel like it was as good a deal as before. When we left, the waiter asked us to leave a tip, which was uncomfortable.
When it first opened I gave 5 stars. Love the experience and the atmosphere! Great customer service and amazing food. Welcome to Port St Lucie can't wait to come back. Very comparable to a melting pot but with Asian cuisine.
The last 2 times we have gone, we left before we even got seated. The smell was a total turn off for the family. COVID caused the down turn, when the food conveyor stopped. Hope it turns back around. Loved the original experience.
Very good. The food is was fresh, the service was great. Good variety of protein as well. Loved the atmosphere, very calm and relaxing.
Came here today excited to try their food only to be told upon entrance that we will need to wear a mask to enter. Here we are 2 years into knowing that the masks do not work and this business's owner demanding that customer's need to wear a mask upon entrance is discrimination.
Will never come back #boycottyumyumhotpot

Hot pot is a blast! Yum-yum has a good variety of foods to cook, and doing it yourself with friends and family really makes it special (even for those who cook at home or professionally)
Everyone was awesome, very kind and good about making sure our drinks were filled and our pots full.
Yum-yum does have a mask policy, but our masks were provided for us. I only mention it because I was frankly a little embarrassed I didn't have one with me.
Ridiculous management. They gave my aunt the wrong broth and then told her that she had picked it. Then instead of switching it they told us that they couldn’t give her a new broth and if we did want one for my aunt we’d have to pay for that one.
Fun dinner idea. We had a party of 6 and they were able to sit us immediately. You go up buffet style and there are a lot of options that you can put into your broth that is cooked at the table. They have different broths. I personally thought the hot and spicy was better than the chicken broth. What was interesting was they had a build your own sauce bar where you can customize your sauce based off your liking!
A friend convinced me to eat here with her, and I’m glad I did. You pick your raw food from buffet, then cook it in a broth at your table. It was a first for me, and I enjoyed it immensely
Has anyone ever tried hot pot? This was a first for me and a place I have been looking to try for a couple years. Yum yum Hot pot gives you a base, see the picture above, then it's kind of like a buffet where you get some either raw or precooked meat, veggies, seafood, dumplings, noodles and others. Then once you're back at your table you add stuff into the base and let it cook. Once it's done you eat it like soup, you get bowls to put it in and enjoy. You can make a sauce to add to it which I enjoyed, I used oyster sauce, a house sauce and garlic mixed together. Definitely a fun date night idea. Watch the steam, it is everywhere. As far as service, our server was not very attentive and I tend to drink a lot of water, so it's how I usually measure the attentiveness. We got there and it was a little slow and I get that but it got busier but there was a lot of time spent on the bigger groups, avoiding us so that did not do well with me. They also did not explain how to do anything my date said she had been there once, a long time ago and the server said oh you can explain it then, well no, it changes from time to time so that did not do well. Overall it wasn't a bad experience just could have been very easily improved.
This is all about the atmosphere it is all u can eat but its limited as u have to cook it in the hot broth they supply u with very healthy the friendly staff go above and beyond for my mom and brother who never experienced anything like this before would go again my self dont know about my mom or brother thought
Not impressed. Took the bestie out cause we both have wanted to try this place out for a while. I liked that they handed us a mask when we walked in, honestly I wish buffets did that in general. Took a good 5 minutes for anyone to acknowledge us when we walked in and it wasn't even busy. A woman asked if we had ever been there or eaten food like this before and we both said no. We were seated and told to pick a broth. Kept it simple with chicken and veggie broth pots. We were given absolutely no direction on how to cook anything or for how long. We just winged it. The iced tea was basically dirty water and there was NOT much to choose from in the buffet. The meat was so fatty and tough. We basically just ate ramen with shrimp and dumplings the whole time. Even the veggies were a disappointment. How you going to give a full leaf and then no utensils to cut with? We had to use our hands! There was also only ice cream that tasted weird as dessert. 2 people and $77 later. I will definitely NOT be going back.
It really saddens me to make this review. We have been to this hot pot place since my son was 1yrs old.
Let me preface and say our son is 3 now, and doesn't really eat. So we feed him before we go.
And this last time we went, not only was the waitress constantly telling us how to cook our food. But touching our temperatures even after we said we were good. We have been coming for years.
And at the end, without it being posted anywhere or telling us. We were charged gratuity for a party of 5 or more.
Their excuse was they could not seat other people at the bigger tables. But that would be understandable if it was busy. But it's a Monday, and it wasn't crowded.
This was one of the last times we could go, and I'm sad it ended this way.
Was my first time doing this, I couldn't have asked for friendlier service, I did not have to ask. This nice woman came up asked if it was my first time, she explained everything and came back to check frequently, her and another young man. It was fresh, delicious and a fun experience. I will be making a return trip.
Really good, I don’t understand the bad reviews… they only make you wear a mask (that they will provide) when you’re up at the buffets grabbing the raw food to bring back to your table. Who cares?
I convinced my sweetheart that we needed to try. Yum! Yum hot pot. So it's all you can eat buffet style! How perfect. You pick your broth and then you go up to the buffet style and pick all your raw ingredients. They were very knowledgeable and explained everything to us. You have to wear a mask but that's okay. Everything was pretty clean and fresh. It was a gentleman in line who suggested how we should do it. And it was a good suggestion. Get all the meats and proteins first and cook all those. Then when your broth is all tasty. That's when you add the noodles.found out I like the balls. And found out my honey does not!
Only downfall is they did not have enough fish or calamari. They seem to put it out sporadically.
I LOVE THIS PLACE! It's always been great every time. Service is impeccable and the hostess is the nicest person.
