ZooTampa at Lowry Park

We went their the day after the "hurricane, " the staff had everything cleaned up, and the animals were well taken care of and happy. My Mother in law is in a wheelchair and the whole zoo is handicap accessible. Great experience.

Such a nice zool to visit, and very accommodating to both physically and/or Intellectually Disabled individuals!

The Lowry Park Zoo is still our family's favorite weekend excursion. This Zoo participates in international breeding programs for several species of endangered wildlife. The professional staff really have to know their stuff, and it shows in their interactions with the visitors during the close encounters. Otherwise, there's plenty to see and do, and the Zoo appears to be upgrading big time.

We are ZooTampa members and always find it clean, enjoyable, and full of activity! Great variety of exhibits (the manatees are our favorite - check out the rescue tanks!). The grounds are well maintained and we appreciate the various snack offerings (themed hot pretzels and loaded nachos within the Africa exhibit are delicious!). They have many events and offerings for families and members year round.

ITS THE BEST just that in the birds cage i put my hand on the rail and got poop on my handbut other than that its perfect

This is a beautiful REAL zoo, focused on conservation and education. This isn't Disney Animal Kingdom or Busch Gardens- no hype around rides and merchandise (even though there is a small selection of both). My 4 year old absolutely loved this place- and we didn't even let him play in the water splash area- he wanted to see more animals! Absolutely awesome day with the family.

We have a family pass and it is well worth it. We travel over an hour to get here but walking around watching the animals interact with each other is so relaxing. I wish this was closer to where I live. I would be here every weekend.

A great place to spend the day.
Even on Saturday of Labor Day weekend when the parking lot is full full full, the zoo is easy to get around and doesn't feel crowded.

Lost my eyeglasses on the ride and the attendant don’t let me get closer and he did NOTHING TO HELP ME…. He call the security and they tried to help me unsuccessfully… lost $800.00 dls eyeglasses the can be save…

It’s a nice zoo, $40+ per adult and $30+ for kids older than 3, kids under 3 gets in for free. For a family of four they have a membership pass that costs $240 and you are allowed two guests. The people are the ticket booth are very helpful. We visited in mid September, a few of the activities are currently not available. The train ride was not working for example.
The good, most of the activities are already included in the price you pay, they don’t try to milk you. We got a free cup of beer during happy hour at the Oasis (Africa). They have a driving tour of the African Safari, it was quite interesting. We saw the penguins being fed. There’s a section for Orangutan, we were lucky to be there at 12: 30pm when they were giving a presentation. The water park and banana ride section is cool. Loads of activities for kids and staff are friendly.

The kids enjoyed it. We were able to purchase a membership for my family of 6 and look forward to going to the zoo whenever we like.

Great place to visit with the family. We loved all the exhibits we were able to see in three hours. The zoo employee was very helpful answering questions. We'll be back!

The zoo is amazing. Fun for kids and adult. The animals look very well cared for. All the staff are nice and very informative.
I also went for an audition for a scare actor. Every one was very kind and understood my nervousness. Was an amazing experience. Ps I got the job.

I was honestly underwhelmed at this zoo. The TV show makes it look MUCH bigger and more open.
The "Safari Ride" was so minimal. It's not what we expected it to be based on the show with large open areas. You're sitting in an open safari looking vehicle 2 people per side where it's tough to see animals on the opposite side of where you're sitting while driving through a very small, slim driveway.
The cost for food is out of this world! I paid $35.00 for french fries, hot dog and a drink and chips.
The Zoo is clean, the animal suites are clean, the staff are all very friendly and knowledgeable with teaching you about each animal if you catch them on time.
It's a one time per life visit. I don't think I would go back.

Very nice zoo. Unfortunately it was really hot so we didn't get to see a lot of animals. The safari ride in Africa was great!
