It did not meet my expectations. Food was good, but portions were too tiny, really expensive for what you get. And nothing mind blowing. The service was below average, it took a while for them to take our order and bring the drinks; and the waiters could do a nicer job explaining the menu and dishes or being nice to the clientele in general. Vibe and decor were nice but not enough for the cost. Not planning to be back.

I asked my Amex Concierge representative to book a reservation for a Saturday night. He "could make a reservation at ten o'clock. " We wished for an earlier time, but because my guest was only in town for the weekend, there was not much we could have done.
We came 15 minutes before 10 o'clock, but they insisted we wait until then. A few minutes after ten o'clock, we were led to a table outside. A outside table was something we didn't want. According to her, when the reservation was made, we did not indicate where we wanted to sit.
Here's a quick summary of my time at Zuma:
We sat on a high table by the front door and across the hostess stand. Spent around 650 dollars between the three of us (paid by my guest).
There was a miscommunication between us and the server. In which the same dish was ordered five times and paid for (to that dish, I will give a five-star review).
A 20% commission was included on the check, and I am all for tipping well. As a matter of fact, even more than 20% if deserved. As long as I walk out of the place completely amazed by the overall service and experience. But it gets better; we were told that the tips are divided between them. If we would like, we could tip more, which would go to him.
Only in Miami does a waiter get 20% included on the check and ask for more if we believe he or she deserves it. What an awkward situation that puts you and your guests. I understand Miami is a multicultural city, however, asking for more than you think they deserve is going to far! Let their service speak for itself when it comes to being compensated.
I have been living in Miami for 24 years, and the service at restaurants never seems to blow a new low at you. There is a major need for a change in hospitality services in Miami. The hospitality sector must be retrained, and their view of service must change. They are not going to work solely to earn a living, they are there to really serve and serve well. That would bring stability to their job and well-deserved compensation.

Best food ever. They truly make the effort to make you feel welcomed. Everybody’s attention is amazing, specially Max and Renzo who explain with detail every plate you order. Andrea was also very attentive and kind. The food is DELICIOUS and the chefs decorate every single plate with delicacy. The atmosphere is great, and the place is nicely decorated. Lastly, Christopher is very knowledgeable, and he always recommends and prepares amazing drinks. 10/10!

Prices around the city have increased, Zuma’s for some reason has not. This makes this location a “must” visit as the experience you are getting for the prices you are paying is amazing.

The food here was amazing! The flavors of each dish were absolutely delicious! They offer sushi, seafood, steak and pork! Everything cooked to perfection! Service was great from the moment we stepped in! Went on a Saturday and they had a DJ, music was not too loud so you can enjoy a conversation! I definitely enjoyed my evening!

Various Asian food options, with options other than traditional suhis and sahimis.
Reservation required.

The only reason for giving a 3 star review is for misleading customer with their Miami spice promotion. Nowhere in their website mentions Miami Spice schedule is (Mon- Thursday). I went on a Friday night & they said it wasn’t available. I felt that was misleading. They should emphasize this on their website.

The check won't be a casual dinner, but well worth the impeccable food, top notch service, and ambience!

Super awesome experience that won't be forgotten anytime soon. Food was a 20 out of 10. Bummed I can't remember my servers name but he was out of this world amazing and deserves recognition. Jamie also took amazing care of us. From the GM who came by and everyone else we encountered, they truly made this a 5 Star experience. Can't wait to come back.

We came for lunch and host said: “ You are in sport wear - shorts and t-shirts, we have dress code, we will be happy to see you next time”.
They were pleasant, we were pleasant.
We said: “OK, next time”.
There were a couple next to us in line. There were in the same clothes. We just thought - poor guys, they don’t know about dress code… But hosts said them: come in! What? !

Amazing place, great staff. I believe his name was Max, but he was a great server. Whatever he recommended I tried, and instantly loved it. Great atmosphere. Expensive (500-1000$) you can spend, but worth it honestly

The Miami Spice menu drew me in. So i tried to make a reservation, for 1, but couldn't do it online. So i called. And they don't take reservations for 1, but if there was room i could sit at either the bar or sushi bar. Sushi Bar for 1, please.

Dishes arrived mostly one by one, and they were well paced. Dinner started with two dishes - steamed spinach and seabass sashimi. The steamed spinach was covered in a heavy coat of sesame dressing, too heavy for my taste. It was like the spinach had been dragged through a pot of tahini. I was suddenly worried that I'd picked the wrong spot for dinner. The next fish i messed up eating as i misunderstood the instructions. The instructions were given to me twice both times rapid fire. I should have asked a third time and told them to slow it down. I ate the fish separately from the truffle and roe. The truffle and roe should have been on top of the fish. This dish even with my faulty consumption was better than the spinach. I'm still a little worried I'd picked very poorly for dinner.

The third dish delivered completed the appetizer course. It was spicy fried chicken. It was good. Maybe dinner wouldn't be terrible.

Next came "course two", some salmon nigiri and a spicy tuna roll. They were all good. Not great, but good. Okay, so now dinner was almost good.

Now for "course three", corn on the cob plus a beef filet. The corn was tender and delicious, but I didn't enjoy the corn stuck in my teeth. The beef tenderloin was perfectly cooked and sliced into pieces ready to eat with chopsticks. The sauce was delicious.i wanted to lick it off the plate. Dinner was now good.

The final course was"dessert", lava cake. The chocolate sauce was plentiful and very hot.

I left full. Glad I'd tried Zuma. But i don't have any desire to return.
