Arepa Mia reviews
17I received over cooked lamb meat. I couldn’t chew it. I was promised a full refund and then management became unresponsive
I've been here several times, have had something different each visit, and have never been disappointed. There's a ton of choices of fillings for the arepas, empanadas, cachapas, and patacones. If you are thinking, "What the heck is a cachapa? " You should absolutely go find out. There is a nice cozy patio that you can enjoy if the weather is right. If you enjoy AC and being cool, brightly colored tables await inside. If you are apprehensive about trying Venezuelan cuisine, fear not! There are pronunciation guides on the menus and instructions on how to enjoy your arepa.
One one of Avondale's many gems, Arepa Mia puts lots of love and heart into their food, and it shows.
Tajadas con Nata could've been eaten as an appetizer or dessert. Overripe plantains fried past golden brown, until caramelized. Served with cream, which was more like liquid cheese!
The cachapa here is the best I've had in this country! I especially love the vegetarian cachapa, with fresh vegetables from a nearby garden
I really liked how this place was designed and decorated, it was very unique and beautiful. You have to order at the front and then take a number card so they can bring your food out to you. The person taking our order seemed uninterested that we were there. I was just expecting more hospitality, especially coming from a small business. The rest of our interactions with other staff members were great! Friendly and helpful people. The food was just okay. I think it didn’t have as much flavor as I was hoping for but the spicy salsa we had helped carry some of the flavor that was lacking.
Came in because I Just wanted to try something, so I got the pernil (pork) empanadas. They were really good. Not cooked too hard either. Parking is in the back of the restaurant. They weren't super busy but had a small crowd in the dining room.
The food here is awesome! It's so nice to find a place where all of the food on the menu is gluten free.
Awesome place! The food and service was excellent, and the food was definitely worth the trip!
THE FOOD WAS DRY NO SEASONING. THE GIRL THAT TAKE MY ORDER CHARGE ME FOR SOMETHING THAT I TOLD HER I DIDNT WANT. THEN THE MANAGER CAME OUT AND SHE TOLD ME THAT SHE WAS NOT GOING TO REFUND ME BECAUSE I SIGNED FOR IT. I Told her I told her to take it off my order. I don’t want that I wanted something else. And she never took it off. I only wanted the refund for what I didn’t wanted which was only 13 dollars.
I had the pleasure of going to arepa Mia today and ordered my first arepa. I have to say it is one of the best things I have eaten this year. I ordered the Guayanesa which is a vegetarian arepa with an amazing corn sauce I will be making at home. I brought my puppy and they had multiple clean dog bowls for water and a gorgeous covered patio. I would recommend going!
Wonderful gluten free food! They have so many options it's hard to choose what I want. Everything I've tried has been so good. So glad I live nearby
Great food! Had the patacón de res and ordered habanero sauce on the side! Might get a bit messy because of the sauces but great flavor.
I got the black bean arepa without queso to make it vegan. The staff is knowledgeable about vegan options and was able to tell me what was vegan or could be made vegan. They have lots of seating, both indoor and outdoor. The food came out quickly. My one complaint is how expensive it was for what was essentially just a snack. My arepa was $14. It was delicious, and they did stuff it, but it feels way overpriced.
They treated us like family. We told them we were visiting and they gave us advice and what places to visit.
Great atmosphere, great food, and really friendly staff. And to top it off, the food is all gluten free.
Rude! Food is soooo flavorless. They’re rude and not accommodating…. Maybe it was because I was black.
