I was held hostage in your store! I was TERRIFIED! When I walked in, I immediately felt objectified by your employees with the obscene stares and comments! Nonetheless, I continued to shop! As I walk towards the checkout line the cashier comes to my face and startle me! I don’t even know where he came from! I said what do you want, he said I thought you were talking to me! Hoooow? I was nowhere near you and had my AirPods in my ear since I came into the store. I check out and decide upon leaving, I wanted to switch chips, he laughed and said okay, so I did! I was walking out, he approached me and grabbed me telling me I have to pay for those. I showed him my bag and I told I’ve paid for chips already and was just exchanging. Him laughing and saying nope, nope, I thought he was joking but it definitely uncomfortable with him being in my face like that! So I asked him several times to move! He blocks the door and says no you can’t leave! At this point I’m scared! I open my bag and say I’m not stealing anything! What do I need to do? He says pay for the chips! I was like whatever I just want to leave! The manager finally comes over and say what happen? I told him and he said, those are the same price! I said I know I told him that! I’m not stealing! He asked which chips did I prefer and stated I could leave! I’m shaking right now and contemplating getting a lawyer! That was terrifying for a $2 bag of chips after buying $12 worth of items! I am in my car shaking right now! I am HIGHLY UPSET! If I were smaller or white he wouldn’t have DARED to touch me! It’s still Covid out there, mask or not STAY THE HELL AWAY FROM ME! The young man name was Claud. He went to MLK

Maskatory, friendly staff, handicapp accessible, they have groceries along with house hold items, no Lysol today. Reasonably priced. Of course my snacks.

Rude cashier 2-14-2021! Like you choose this job so dnt be rude little girl! Smile it takes more muscles to frown then to SMILE! Then the Manager in duty holding full blown conversations with whoever that was she was talking to! Taking long to do a doggone void! This why they dnt take black people seriously! Clean the freaking parking lot! Trash everywhere!

My arm was full of items, so I asked the young man that work there to hand me a basket, he didn't. So the white man help me out, how was a customer.

I get this store a five stars every time three or more customers in line in morning time the manager come and open a line and help. The day manager does a great job and the store is always clean.

The day time manager she does a great job every time. I go into the store it's clean and when it's two or more people's in line she help the cashier.
Keep up the great job. I choose this Family Dollar then the one down street from my house.

Well stocked. Staff is friendly and courteous. My favorite cashier is Zack, he is always polite, pleasant and cordial

Went to buy a phone for a work project and was told I couldn't touch the phone before purchase because "we've seen some crazy stuff" this after being told they have "never sold a phone before" so basically just as a an assumption that I would steal a $30 disposable phone I was made to read the specs as the teenage worker held the phone for me. I'm a hardware and software engineer, I needed to make sure the specs on the phone were sufficient for the project we were working on. Long and short if you want to be treated like a criminal by some two bit highschool kids this is the place for you. I get it's a dollar store but come on what do you gain by acting like that. I've never understood buisness that are so serious about theft as if they aren't insured against loss and as if loss isn't a whole category of deduction on taxes. Or if they are so concerned with loss, HIRE SECURITY, add theft prevention devices like every other major brand. If Family Dollar were some mom and pop set up I would totally understand but this is a buisness that has thrived through the great recession and whose shares have been quarter over quarter positive, they can afford loss prevention. Their buisness model has been so effective they forced Wallmart to make those mini Wallmarts to compete. Given that profitability the only excuse for the defacto security policy in their stores particulary in minority neighborhoods is. I won't go there but you get the point. Since they are one of the few places to buy testing tech at disposable prices I will still go but yeesh, I hope they read their reviews.
