Unfortunately this will not be a 5 star review. I am a new customer and Hargray is the only internet service in my new area. I went online and saw a promotion for new customers advertising you could get 1000 Mbps starting out at $85 a month. When I called to get this exact same service that is still currently advertised on your website I was told that was an error and for that speed my monthly bill would be $156 before tax. When I asked the representative if they could honor the promotion I was told no. This is false advertising as it’s best. Being that you are the only provider in the area my hands are tied I have to get your service. I was offered 500 Mbps for $85 before tax, which I took. This speed is not going to be enough for me to successfully work from home, but $156 for internet is outrageous. Next I was told I could not pick up my equipment and self install even though the previous tenants had your service and there is nothing special the technician would be doing. After further research I found you charge an additional $50 for a technician to come out. This entire organization is a money grab. I hope and pray a new provider comes to the area soon, I would cancel my service with you in a heartbeat.

I called to have my service restored. I informed the representative I still had my equipment. She stated I needed new equipment and she could not restore my service from the home office. She told me they were booked out until January, but she would call me back once she spoke with a technician about squeezing me in.
I did not get the call back. I had to call to see if they were able to schedule me sometime soon.
I was told the representative would call me back within the hour. She did… to tell me it would be six days before I can get service.
Fast forward to my schedule service date. The technician informed us the equipment was fine he didn’t change it out and they could’ve restored my service over the phone.
Needless to say this will be my only month with Hargray. You can send Windstream a thank you note for the referral

First I called about getting service. The rep charged me 55 dollars then when we went to set up the appointment it was not feasible for me because the work bankers hrs. Maybe set the install up before taking the money. After thinking for awhile I wondered if maybe I could pick up a box. So I called. Am yes you can. Maybe offer that option. Got the box. Installed it and no it doesn't work. So a tech comes out and he can't fix it. He has to have a duff tech come out. No idea when. Waited a couole days and no service. Called and they couldn't get ahold of dispatch to find out. Went to return the box on Saturday. Nope. Not open on weekends. Went on my lunch hr. Nope closed during lunch. Took off time from work to return and will mail me a refund. Never met a company so determined to put themselves out of business.

I got the service at 12 noon today. The internet went out at 4: 30 today. I call, the customer services rep answered the phone like I was bothering. I have never had internet dropping with ATT.

How do I rate lower than 1 star? This is a communications company that sucks at communicating. I don’t get bill statements (even in the email) so I have to guess when it’s due. I log on to my account online and there is no price for the bill due but my internet is still disconnected.the internet sucks it’s very slow and more hassle than it’s worth when it is working. If I had a choice in my neighborhood I definitely wouldn’t be a customer. Hargray needs to go out of business communicating is not its strong suit. AWFUL COMPANY!

Have been waiting 6 months for someone to come out to change cable box. Never showed. Quoted price for internet and documented in system. Was told I cannot get that price because employee misquoted. Horrible service all the way around! Need competition in Perry!

Slow, slow, slow.pay 100 a month, and internet always says "slow connection". Internet goes out about once a week, and stays out for a day, Zero customer service.

I'm glad to see others have been leaving honest reviews about hargray. We had comsouth but then hargray took over and immediately the price jumped and the service speeds were weak. We now have Verizon box, and it is absolutely amazing. Hargray is a terrible company.

If there are other options in your area, please stay as far away from this ISP as possible. We have had technicians out for the past year and a half and most of the time they just screw and unscrew cables and periodically replace your modem for no change. For the past YEAR AND A HALF we have had latency issues with our download and upload speeds and it has never been fixed. No matter how many times they have come out to our house they will never fix the issue and just tinker and play it off as if they fixed anything. Please just do not consider Hargray at all.

Now that we are already a paying customer, Hargray is in NO HURRY to fix our internet and get us up and running again. Maybe in 3 DAYS they'll come out, F'n joke

The worst service there is. I would not recommend it to anyone. It stay off more than on and you can't talk to customer service about it.

Absolutely hate this service! Do not recommend for a 2 year old! I have had to call this company so many times and the issue is NEVER really fixed. They place bandages on the issue and leave as soon as possible before u notice another issue! They were the only option when we moved here but now we have another choice! So we are definitely switching! If you have options, don't choose Hargray!

If I could leave zero stars I would! I cancelled my service and returned my equipment in person to the local Perry office. Several months later I get a notice from collections because my equipment was showing "not returned" and "not scanned". So, now I am either going to have to pay or have it on my credit report.

When the employee came over to my house to check my modem he complimented my thobbing shaft and when i said that was a bit unprofessional he said i know 0/10 would not use them for any other service
