Max's Coal Oven Pizzeria reviews
16From Chicago w/high pizza standards on pizza but the mushroom pizza was delish! We also had the shrimp, the burratta and the meatballs as appetizers and they were all so tasty. Cool, casual ambiance close to the aquarium and convention center.
Nice day to enjoy fresh pizza with my favorite girl…. Pros: fresh ingredients you can taste; friendly service;
Cons; limited restroom space near food preparation; limited mask worn by employees; tables are not socially distanced
Overall: Food was great; options for both indoor and outdoor dining.

• Wings didn't have any flavor. It was just pretty tasteless wings with Parmesan on top.
• Pizza was average, but the sauce of their Margarita Pizza is magnificent.
• They have Tabasco sauce, but not regular hot sauce.
• The waitress is five star quality, but I couldn't tip as much as I liked cuz I waisted to much on the food.
I highly recommend this place. Food was great and Andrew was amazing. Definitely will be back whenever i am in town again
We got takeout from here while visiting downtown ATL. We stayed at a nearby hotel, so I was able to walk here no problem. The place was full and bustling, which is always a good sign. Our pizza was hot, fresh, and delicious (and approved by our 7 & 5 year olds who are SUPER picky) so it was a win all around.
Stopped by this place for lunch, got the lemon herb chicken wings and it was perfection! That paired with the garlic breadsticks made my day!
I was very pleased with max coal oven pizza. My waiter Rocky was very swell he was very consistent and he really cares about his job you can tell by his awesome customer service. Thank you so much Rocky I will definitely be back!
First time visiting Max’s Coal Oven Pizzeria and it was great. Food was fantastic, speed of service was extremely fast, and the ENTIRE staff was friendly and thankful. Restaurant was very clean. Can’t wait to visit again. Beer selection was slightly better than average.
Friendly staff, delicious bruschetta and margherita pizza, and overall good vibes.
In the nicer part of midtown and a great place to go if you are visiting Georgia Aquarium or Coca-Cola.
The service was great but the pizza is not worth the price. The pizza I had was kind of burnt and the crest was hard. There salads are great and you get a good portion for $10.
Absolutely fantastic food and service. This place was slammed but service did not suffer. Truly an awesome experience!
The chicken wings and the pizza were just good but not excellent. The pizza was supposed to be with the Bianca, but did not look like they advertised picture on the menu. What was amazing was the bread over the salad and the meatballs. It was thick, soft, fresh and flavorful:)
SO GOOD! We had the bianca pizza and ceasar salad, both were to die for.friendly staff and super fast.not expensive either. 10/10 must try
Very nice, I would go again.
The only negative thing is the long time they take to prepare your order, maybe coz it was full when I visited
Pizza was fabulous! Crust was light and crispy! We ordered Shrimp appetizer, great flavor. We will certainly visit again when in ATL.
The best crust I've ever had on a pizza! I also enjoyed the string lights over the patio and the donuts I had for desert.
