I entered the store on 8/21 to take advantage of the iPhone 11 port-in promotion. I wanted to port my Boost mobile number to Metro. When I provided the two female associates with my Boost number, I was told I could not port it because it was a T-Mobile number. I showed the associate my phone with the Boost signal, and they still denied the port-in.

At the end of the day, these tactics are probably done to prevent a sale on a device on promotion. This is despicable and bad business practice. If you are unwilling to honor a Metro by T-mobile promotion, take that logo off and put something else cause you are doing Metro a disservice by antagonizing potential customers.

"The unprofessionalism at this store is unreal. The two girls there definitely need to get fired or learn how to talk to customers. ASAP. "
I would have left it at that but I have to elaborate. Not only did the girl working there lie and charge me an unauthorized payment, she also got an attitude and then didn't even cancel the transaction/contract after I stated that I didn't want to continue. So the phone contract was live in my name and still at the store. There wasn't even a refund request submitted for the unauthorized transaction, which still hasn't been refunded. I'm on the phone filing a complaint about it, and the customer service rep is trying to sell me another phone! "You only have to pay $45 today. " WHAT the hell? I'm filing a complaint, not shopping. This company is super shady, especially this store!

Whoever was at the store today, a lady called Stephanie, waisted my time ans seemed to have no clue how to do her job. Gave her a number and account info to port in from boost mobile but she managed to write down the wrong number that came up in her screen as a Verizon number. Then she said while the number is elligible to port in, she needs a 6 digit pin number. Long story short, I realized she was trying the wrong number, cause I was adamant it's a Boost mobile number. When I corrected her, she kept negatively argumenting that without a transfer pin, she won't be able to complete the transaction. She spoke to her boss, who seemed nice and willing to help. But she ended up convincing him that without a 6 digit trasnfer pin, it won't happen. I really do not understand why she was so reluctant to port my number but I just waisted 2 hours. I will never understand store associates turning down business that comes to them on a silver plate.
Update 04/03: Today, I called Boost mobile and spoke to an account rep to request a transfer pin. The rep told me that there is no such a 6 digit pin transfer pin but the 4 digit pin that I provided Stephanie in the store. But she kept arguing that it's not. At the end of the day, these tactics are probably done in oder to prevent a sale on a device on promotion. This is really despicable and really bad business practice. If you are not willing to honor a Metro by T-mobile promotion just take that logo off and put something else cause you are doing Metro a diservice by antagonizing potential customers.
