Sam's Club, Athens GA

Out of several go to items (salmon and pea dog food, paper plates, dried mango.) All of the checkouts were open, but only one person scanning receipts to leave. We used the scan and go lane but it took scan and go is no faster. 15 minutes to wait to make sure you paid for your groceries that they make you checkout.

Absolutely the worst sams clubI ve been to. No customer service there. No way to reach anyone by phone. Nearly impossible to get any assistance on the floor. Compared to other sams clubs, this is HORRIBLE The product quality at sams is also on the steep decline. I ve been a plus member for over 10 years. I won’t renew! Just a week ago I purchased 3 air in motion bed foundations and 3 queen size mattresses. Upon getting it home and assembling them I found out that only 1 works. The others are defective and now I have to re-assemble them and spend two hours or so returning it. Calling the club proves to be futile. Calling the main number doesn’t help either. GARBAGE CLUB AND GARBAGE SERVICE!

Extremely clean store with great staff! Easy in to do scanning in store, so there was a really easy checkout. Really like their scan while in store!

Great prices, large inventory. Only complaint is that they do not consistently stock the same things so it's kind of a gamble whether or not they'll have the thing you saw there last time. Updated dairy and produce sections to more closely match CostCo's, so that's cool. Also they label their aisles, which CostCo does NOT, which is nice.

Called Sam's Club in Bogart, Ga to make appointment for tire rotation.
Told do not need appointment for rotation, first come, first served. Show up at 7: 45 am, opens at 8 am and told that I need appointment. Told that they were booked solid for 2 days. 8: 26 am, the 8 am appointment still a no show. After getting hostile with everyone, they decided to rotate my tires. I know it's not tire center employees, it's corporate. I was told that when I called for appointment, call center is in Phillipines. What the hell. My next set of tires will definitely NOT come from Sam's club. 8: 32 am, 8 am appointment still not here. I would like a response from corporate, but I don't have an appointment for that either.

Cust service person helpful. Greeter could have cared less. Ask for electric.he just looked at me and walked off. Finally a cart was found, not charged. Store not that busy with people who needed carts. The personnel could have cared less if you shopped there.
This is the worst Sam's I've ever been in. Five motorized carts for the entire store, and 99% of the time, none available, in the parking lot with dead batteries.
The deli service is slow and they do not care about customers. There was a line of 8-9 customers waiting.two employees came up, jumped the line and got waited on.the heck with paying customers. And if the soda machine has problems, no sign is allowed. Wake up Sam's, there is a new Large discount store in town.

They never answer the phones! I’m so frustrated with the service, I’m thinking to cancel my membership and move to Costco. I’m done with this!

Not sure what the point of standing in line, checking out, or using the scan and go on my app to just then have to stand in another line that’s normally longer than the checkout line, for one person to rescan everything in my cart and everyone else’s. Today the line was backed up from the door to the food counter.

We absolutely love shopping at Sam’s Club! There are sooo many amazing deals here and lots to choose from! We highly recommend this place!

I really like this location, the employees are really helpful. I had a full cart of items and the scan and go was down and I had no physical cards with me and one of the employees were willing to hold on to my cart while I ran home to get my physical debit card!

AVOID! Probably the worst Sam’s I’ve ever been to. Rude and incompetent staff and poor selection of products compared to every other Sam’s I’ve been to. Plus, it is unsanitary and disheveled. I saw water on the floor in several spots, half the freezer section was empty and completely disorganized, and the clothing aisle looked like wild animals had just run through it. Most of the produce looked wilted and damaged, which is very uncharacteristic of Sam’s. To top it all off, there was only one or two active cashiers during peak shopping time and there was a line of about 25+ people wrapped all the way back to the store behind the checkout just waiting to get permission to leave from the two slowest receipt checkers on earth! Took almost 10 minutes to leave after paying. Never seen such a poorly managed Sam’s club. It blows my mind that the locals actually pay money to subject themselves to such a miserable shopping experience, especially considering there is a Costco in town now.

This Sam’s Club is a joke. They never answer their phone, when you use the automated directories some of the departments don’t work, when you dial the number you get sent in to telephone hyperspace. Thankfully a Costco opened up in Athens and I’ve noticed in recent visits the parking lot of sans is nearly empty. Thank goodness for Costco.

I normally go to Costco now since there’s one in Athens, but occasionally I go back to the Sam’s torture, to get a couple items that Costco does not have yet. Costco has lots of items at Sam’s don’t have, overall Costco has a much better selection.

About six months ago, I got tires from Sam’s and it was a complete disaster, the tire technician said Sams is going to have a rude awakening when Costco opens up next month.

Very good and tidy, but the men's bathroom was not very clean, especially the urinals.

I calling multiple time trying to get an important question answer and no one would answer, so I called another location and they picked up and answered my question.

Twila (sp?) in the bakery is my hero! She is so very kind, patient, thoughtful and dedicated. The customer service with her was above and beyond. She’s just the sweetest! Thank you for helping me Twila!

Much better service. Out of 5lb sharp cheddar so I'll have to go back. But everything else was easy to find.

These is the best sams club I have been ever gone great customer service employee with great knowledge they are ready to help you at any time if u need anything you can ask for it they will help you to find it for you there gas price is so cheap that anyone can afford it compared to other store there price is. So cheap I suggest people if u r plant for shopping these is the best palce

I have always loved shopping at Sams. They always have what I need! Great prices! And I LOVE the app! However, recently I have not enjoyed these past few visits. The amount of sales people in and out of the store is a little much. I do not to want to be approached. If I want something I can pursue it myself. They are pushy with the conversations and if I say “no thank you” they keep on. Another thing is the one way gas pumps. Maybe I’m not getting the logic behind it, but I never have to wait so long to get gas at other places.

I hate ordering for items to be shipped and instead they give it to a random delivery person not a company and they deliver items by placing them on the bumper of my truck…I had looked everywhere when it said the vitamins were delivered and just happened to notice them on the rear bumper…

I was lied to by a manager at Sam's trying to "hustle" people into getting Sam's credit card. I was checking out and she ran over to the self scan and looked at my screen and said you are pre-approved for the Sam's credit card. I asked her was there going to be a hard hit on my credit and she stood there and looked me in my face and said, "No you are already pre-approved", because I did not want any inquiries on my credit. Well low and behold the next day I got notification about the inquiry on my credit. With all of that said don't believe what they tell you go with your own mind if it's no then stick to no because they will lie to you to get what they want
