Solo Caribbean Food Take Out, Douglasville GA

OMG! I have found my new go to Jamaican spot. I reached out to the owner on a Tuesday with a last minute request for a Saturday catering need. She was so nice and friendly. Most of all she delivered A1 food for my party. The jerk chicken was a BIG hit! Everyone enjoyed the food and barely left any left overs. Between the taste of the food and great customer service provided by the owner, I could not have chosen a more perfect Jamaican restaurant. I will definitely order in the future. Thank you so much Josie for making my party perfect with your food!

First let's talk about the hospitality very nice people. The food is amazing, and the portion is big and the food is delicious. If you want some Haitian food Jamaican food this is the place!

While visiting GA from Florida, I was in the mood for some haitian food, look up haitian restaurants near by and Solo Caribbean pop up and I had to go try it based on the reviews. I was very happy I did. The owner was so welcoming and friendly. Bought the griot which is the fried pork with rice and beans. OMG so delicious I regret not purchasing a second plate. Will definitely visit again. Thank you for the great experience!

The food was really, really good! We order the jerk chicken and pork plate with cabbage, rice and beans. Delicious!

Had the jerk chicken & rice w/ a glass coke.food was great & the people were friendly.rice was good but ask for some extra sauce from the jerk chicken to go on top & you won’t regret it!
looks like a mechanic shop at first glance because they are really hard workers & have multiple businesses.gotta respect the hustle!

2nd time here! 1st time was yesterday- (curry chicken) so yes im back the next day for the oxtails- me coming back again explains the service and friendliness - the lemonade is very good! Ordered 2! I promise you won’t be disappointed

Came in today didn’t know this existed. Got the Curry Chicken. Was having a problem with my card to pay. It was one of those days. Anyways thanks to the lady that understood it was one of those days. Food. Glad to know it was good. The Rice and Peas was like how my mom make it. Im Panamanian. Yall did that!

So Solo Caribbean is a Haitian Jamaican infused style cuisine with a restaurant as well as a food truck. My food, let's start with presentation looks mouth watering. The portion size were perfect for each priced special or platter ordered. I'm a foodie, so i couldn't just order one meal. Go figure. I went with the Fried Turkey with Green plantains. People of the Hispanic culture refer to it as tostones. The Turkey came in chopped wing portions that were fried which I've already eaten. It was well seasoned, wasn't dry, and the tostones were lightly salted, made fresh, came out hot couldn't resist swiping one before I left and a perfect quick meal. I also jerk chicken and jerk pork that came with rice andpeas cabbage and plantain. Haven't eaten those meals yet but you know i had to steal a taste. Meat is sesaoned, tender, the rice isn't dry authentic carribbean flava absolutely delicious. The service was exceptional. The wait time was short. Food was hot and flavorful. Josie is a pleasant individual with a beautiful soul. She runs the food truck. Her and possibly her daughter made my food and it was prepared with love. A MUST TRY especially if your in the Douglasville, Lithia Springs, Winston, Austell, Powder springs and surrounding area.

While I didn’t have the pleasure of experiencing Solo Caribbean Food, I did receive exceptional service. It was a Tuesday afternoon, hours before my flight home and I was on a mission to find some good Oxtails, rice and peas, plantains and a beef patty. Solo offers those items on the weekends and the young lady in training invited me to return this weekend. She was so sweet. That was much appreciated. I didn’t realize until arrival that Solo Caribbean was a food truck. That explains the limited weekday offerings. The rating is solely provided for the level of service received. I’ll try again next time I’m in Georgia.

I stopped by the solo Caribbean food spot today and the service was on point and super friendly good sized portions and awesome flavor! A+

I enjoy the service and love the food. I was sooo excited to find a place in Douglasville that makes Haitian food. Everything here is well presented and make with care.

Very flavorful and very professional. I would definitely recommend this location to anyone who enjoys Caribbean food.

Simply the best Caribbean food in west Georgia. Huge proportions. Perfectly spiced. Friendly. Convenient location at Fairburn & Bankhead (Hwy 92 and 78).

Zoe was like a day of sunshine when I places my order, she suggested items that my tastebuds may enjoy and boy was she right. The jerk chicken had a lovely taste as well as tender, the cabbage was the best my buds had tasted in years as for the Plantains my tastebuds wanted them to have been a bit more moist but I know everyone prepares them a bit different. Overall my meal I would rate a 9 out of 10.10/29/22 was my first time but I will return for more in the upcoming months visiting from Birmingham, AL

Soooo! I tried this location after passing it soo many times! I should’ve been stopped the jerk chicken plate is a must have with the lemonade drink on the side! It’s a must have!

Solo has THEE BEST Jamaican food around. I always get the oxtail dinner and its always on point! The gravy is just right, not sweet (which to each his own) and they are definitely not stingy with the portions. You get exactly what you pay for and wont feel cheated or disappointed. I encourage anyone looking for a good island meal to check them out! No lie its worth it.
