Trenton Telephone Co reviews
11Well I haven't had any problems with it and I'm in the middle of nowhere compared to most of yall so, plus the internet has no data caps for 70 a month, tmobile is 50 but with 5 devices tv keeps stopping and loading until you disconnect 1 or 2 devices and I have 9 hooked up now no problem.
Internet has been down for over a week now and each time I call we get a different answer. First they for got to create a ticket, then they said my bill wasn’t paid. It’s on auto draft and was paid, as always, which the rep acknowledged. He then created a ticket number and advised it would be several days before I would hear something. If you have another choice for internet I highly recommend it!
The internet that I get through Trenton Telephone Company is the worst in just about every way. Until recently, they wouldn't even accept payments online. Imagine that, an internet company that won't accept payments online.
Beyond that the internet service is terrible, often going months without a reliable connection. As I am writing this, it has been over a month since we have had a reliable connection. The speed has been extremely slow; to say it has been sluggish would be kind. The connection constantly cuts in and out. I cannot get through an episode on Netflix or even finish loading a web page without it cutting out.
It is not my wireless router. My router is almost brand new. My TV is directly plugged into my modem, and many other people in my area have been getting terrible service during the same time frame.
I have contacted the company multiple times to try to get this resolved. I have never heard anything back from them, nor has it gotten resolved.
I spend close to $90 a month on internet service that is unreliable. The only reason I still have Trenton Telephone Company for internet is because the only other option is satellite. Once Charter or Comcast gets their service up here I will immediately move over to their service and I know there are many others that would follow suit.
I have even considered cancelling the internet because the connection is so frustrating.
We have the fiber service at home. Works great! Their service tech guys go over and above to make sure you get whatever you need to get everything working properly! Thank you.
I've just had the fiber service installed as of 13Nov2019 and it's working great. It's running at three times the speed of spectrum.
If you have the option to get their fiber internet I would do so immediately.
They should go ahead and sellout to one of the larger telephone companies. They have proven that they don't care for their Customers, so please let someone else help.
Trenton Telephone has worked very hard to bring a better service to the community. In the last few years, they have been bringing High Speed Fiber Optic Internet to the area, and I have been so pleased with the speeds and reliability of the internet. Everyone I have ever spoken to in the office is super friendly and knowledgeable. All the technicians that have ever come out to do an installation or repair have gone above and beyond to be helpful. I use them in my personal home and through my work, I've helped set up several houses with the internet, so I've worked with them a lot and have never been disappointed. I think some of the negative reviews on here are older, but just as any local company, they are evolving, growing, and improving every day, and I'm proud to support a local business that provides great customer service and in my experience, a great product! And I think it is very important to note that in the COVID pandemic, they worked hard to bring internet to communities that didn't have it so that kids could do virtual school and people who didn't have internet could work from home. Even more reason to support a business that gives back to the community!
Been with them for about 7 years, no complaints. The ladies are always Sweet. That being said. If you have a religion preference, ya might wanna start praying now that your service never goes out just for the heck of it (oh like it does all the freaking time) because it is an act of congress to get anybody to actually help! Every single person on the other end of the phone line is trained 1 thing and 1 thing only "unplug it for me for about a minute then plug it back in" (I'm not kidding) I pay like $160, which is $160 too much, just to have to call "tech support" aka the unplugit boys!
Home of the one gig fiber! We rock and roll online! If you don't have fiber then you're missing out. The Cajun.
Customer service is horrible. They would rather argue than help with a solution to the problem.
