Walmart Auto Care Centers, Augusta GA

I normally don’t post bad reviews, but I had a pretty bad experience today. Tried to call multiple times and nobody what answer. I finally got through to someone and she hung up on me. I called back and finally Confirmed that the auto department had indeed been open. When I got there, a gentleman from the auto department advised me to request a flat repair. So I requested that, then after 2 1/2 hours was advised that I would need a new tire. And then was told that they did not have my tire in stock so they couldn’t help me. When I said that I wish they had told me that at the beginning, instead of apologizing or anything, I was told “that’s just how it is. That’s how it is everywhere. ” It is not, in fact, like that everywhere. I’ve had flat tires before and have had much better experiences. This was pretty disappointing

Got to Walmart at 9: 15 am on a Sunday for an oil change, before I could ask a question they were rude and told me to move my truck to the parking lot, (no signs) I went inside and was told it wouldn’t be long as there was no one in front of me, while 4 workers changed 2 tires on the only car in front of me, I waited over an hour for an oil change and wind shield wipers (which they forgot), let’s just say I won’t be coming back to this Walmart for anything. Well I went back to the store for some groceries as I am traveling, and the inside was worse than the tire center, see my pictures and see what I’m talking about

Waited three hours for them to tell my husband and I that they could not get the lug note off to change a tire. So unprofessional and stupid.

The staff all the way up to management is rude, slow and do not care. I had to wait an hour for them to test a battery I had to bring back after 3 months with a valid warranty because it died.

I bought last set of tires from Walmart. Never again. Next time it will probably be sams or Costco. They just don't care and the tires are not great quality either. The tread starts at 8 instead of 10 so they wear out quicker. They should do mileage instead of tread wear. They haves some rip off games for you.

This Auto Care Center is always busy, but the wait usually isn't long. They have basic services such as oil change, tire repair, and tire purchase. The staff is really nice and the mechanics are honest.

Didn’t end up getting service even though there were 3 ladies behind the counter. Very disorganized, terrible experience. Will not be back

I come in early in the morning to get an oil change and only 2 employees are working. So a 10 minute oil change is now an hour oil change. There are only 2 cars in front of me, so that should only take about 30 to 40 minutes. Not over an hour.

Worst place ever! Still waiting on getting oil changed and it’s been 2 1/2 hours! Employees have major attitudes.

I had a long wait which resulted in no tire due to them breaking a part on the machine. I was so frustrated after sitting there three hours. Some things can't be helped, this I know. The Manager Bill Scott called me a couple of days later an apologized & gave me a gift certificate for my trouble. Such a nice & friendly man, that really cares about his customers & takes pride in his job. 5 stars for the manager Bill Scott

Took my van in for an oil change early last month (August 2018) and the service department failed to screw the oil filter housing down all the way causing a catastrophic oil leak and now I have to get my blown engine fixed. Thanks.will not be returning.

Had changed oil for over 2 1/2 hours.really? But, there's only guy by himself since the store opened. I guessed not enough workers there.

The full service hours aren't posted on the store for a reason. I was told a couple days ago that oil changes stop at 7, however I came in today at 6: 15 and was turned away again for the same reason.

They are dangerous they don’t care about you or your safety. These fools replaced my tires only put one nut back on my tire. Then when I confronted the manager they had the nerve to ask for a receipt for my missing wheel lock and nuts. Also they have no problem with putting the wrong size tire on your vehicle if you don’t catch it or make a mistake ordering online they will not even ask you if you really want to change to smaller tire. They will send you right out lopsided.

Came in for tires and oil change. Decided to shop while I waited. 1 1/2 hours later they still hadn't pulled my car into the bay. At almost two hours they finally started working on it. Over 4 hours later it was finally done, except no oil change, and the tires weren't properly balanced. Tech claimed they couldn't find "the tool" to change the oil. Having changed the oil in this car before, I know there is no special tool needed. Good thing people don't have to work or anything. Horrible service and dishonest.

Today, I had a tire that was quickly losing air. So, I used my GPS to find the closest Wal-Mart tire service center, since I purchased my tires from the location in Hartsville, SC. The GPS sent me to this one. When I pulled up, I saw one of the workers headed back into the building. I asked where should I park my vehicle for service. He told me they were no longer accepting cars. I explained that I was from out of state. I had two hours to travel and if they could please assist me. He told me he had to check with his manager. After checking, he came back and reiterated what he previously informed me. Mind you, it was 4: 50pm when I pulled up and they didn’t close until 6: 00pm. I was hoping they would sympathize with my situation. Since there appeared to be only one customer waiting and no cars were in any of those bay servicing area. Also because I had a ways to travel and it was a Sunday; nothing else was opened. Nope. It was a disappointing experience. I was able to get road side to put my donut on and I made it home by the grace of God.

Spent over an hour getting the run around. Was told they were doing 2 cars at a time and there were 2 cars in then and I was the 2nd group of cars. Come back after an hour and am told there are 2 cars ahead of me. I then come back 20 minutes later and was told 2 cars were just pulled in to the bay and mine would be in the next group. Just asked for my keys and went to jiffy lube, was in and out in 20 minutes for $10 more. Well worth the $10. I have only had bad experiences with the bobby jones tire and lube location, north augusta is always informative and helpful. Will never attemp the bobby jones location again.

Very very very slow service. First customer in line when they first open and it still takes them 2 hours

Great prices. Unbeatable actually. The lifetime tire rotate and balance is well worth it. Good at Walmart all over the country.

Seems like the experience of others may vary, but personally my experience was one of prompt service. Like with most automotive service centers, especially busy ones, it helps to arrive early. This makes a much bigger difference than you may know.

You're in and out faster and work will be performed by more alert techs, not worn out from hours and hours of labor.

I call ahead to make sure they can switch out a flat with irreparable sidewall damage and they tell me to have it brought over and they can do it today. I get it towed there for $50 and then they tell me they can sell me the tire but it would be until tomorrow before they could put it on. This is 3 hours before closing. They might as well have spit in my face. I was so pissed that I drove on the flat to NTB across the parking lot. I WILL NEVER DO BUSINESS WITH A WALMART TIRE/LUBE AGAIN.
