We rented e-bikes from 808 mopeds in honokowai & rode the 30 highway down to lahaina.it was very euphoric & dreamy & having the bikes meant we had energy to explore town more.we took them down to black rock beach the next morning & again just had to most fun & beautiful day.we can't stop talking about how fun the e-bikes were.both of us are avid bike riders but the e-bike was a new experience while still feeling familiar. I'm sure all the staff are amazing but a special shout out to madison for being so helpful, kind & explaining the bikes to us so that we could get going & live it up on this beautiful island.we'll for sure be renting from 808 again.

The E-Bikes were amazing! Super fun and enjoyable. The service was amazing! Definitely the best e-bike rental spot on the island. Would recommend to anyone looking for a fun time site seeing. Anne was amazing to deal with and would 100% go back to rent in a heart beat!

We rented mopeds for one day and it was so much fun! The price was super reasonable and we had an awesome time! The staff was very friendly and taught us how to ride in a clear way! It was easy to pick up! We’ll definitely do this again next time we are in Maui!

Had the most fun renting mopeds with my family while on holiday. Anne was so friendly and fun, she taught us the ropes and made sure we had a blast! The bikes were easy to ride and such a majestic way to explore Maui! Highly recommend!

The rental process was easy and quick. The bikes worked great never had any issues with the bikes. My friend and I rented two 50cc mopeds and had an amazing time exploring west Maui. This is my second year renting from them and I would highly recommend their services. The return process was super easy as well and they are not out to get you on the prices. Will definitely be coming back next year!

Great people. Super helpful, responsible, they really care about their business. The woman who handles sales (Anne?) is super sweet. I dinged up the scooter trying to get it into my hotel’s bike park (that stupidly has roots around it - beware if you stay at Aina Nalu… just use the car spots) and was nervous returning it, but she was very nice and understanding and the charge for the damage was incredibly reasonable. I rented the 200cc scooter and it handled the highway very well. 10/10 would rent from here again.

We rented E-Bikes for a morning and rode north to slaughterhouse beach and beyond. Took the lower Honoapiilani road most of the way. It was a great experience. The owner checked us in himself. He was pleasant and very helpful. The bikes were great, and the riding was so much fun! We even stopped at the Honolua bay and did some swimming before heading back. The bikes came with locks and the battery charger. Thank you!

I have never driven an electric bike before. It was the best experience I have had! The lady that works at 808 was very knowledgeable, extremely helpful and very kind! 10/10 recommend renting from 808 Rides!

We rented 3 mopeds and a scooter. The people were awesome to deal with. The scooters were in great condition. We decided at the end of the day to extend our rental one more day. They did this with no issues and gave us a 50 percent discount for the second day. Would highly recommend 808 Rides.

Disappointed with recent rental at South Kihei. Found staff to be dishonest. Rented 2 mopeds for 24 hrs at an agreed price of $65 per moped. That was the price on their sign in the store. The bill came to $161.92. I asked what the extra $31.92 was for and they told me road taxes. They could not print me a bill and took my email and said they would send it to me electronically. This never happened. The rental was fine and we returned the mopeds at the end of the day. No bill was received on my email but they were anxious for a positive review right away. I did receive an email a few days later wanted a customer review. I replied that I was still looking for my bill.
I stopped by the store a week later and asked for my bill. They said they didn't have my email. That sounded strange. They sent me the bill and I noticed that they had charged me $75 for each rental and not the $65 that we agreed to.
Although this may seem like a small amount all of this seems to speak to a greater issue of integrity and honesty with the staff. I have emailed the company a couple of times and no response. Seems to me not a very good attitude. I am a regular to Maui and have rented and purchased items before including scooter rentals. Seems to me that there is something deceptive with the behaviour of the 808 company. I notice them all over the island. Will not give them any more business or provide recommendations to any of their stores. I hope you have a better experience.

Renting the scooter from 808 Mopeds and riding with my wife around Maui was terrific! The scenic views were very memorable and riding in the ocean breeze was even more thrilling. This experience really added something special to our anniversary trip. We have to say that Monica is top notch and was/is very helpful and a pleasure to work with. She has a great personality and really knows the equipment. If you need to rent any bikes, scooters, mopeds, 808 Mopeds and Monica is the ONLY WAY TO GO! Aloha.

Best choice for two consecutive shore days on a cruise. We got to explore at our own pace. The scooters worked well. Good value. Absolutely would rent them again if we find ourselves in Maui.

One of our favourite days on the island! Super easy to book, very comprehensive introduction to the scooters before we headed out. We were under time constraints but I'd recommend renting for 24 hours. Staff had excellent recommendations for our afternoon trip and we maximized our sight seeing. Really easy to navigate and 50cc mopeds are perfect for those with no motorcycle/scooter experience (but still lots of fun for those of us with experience!)

We'll definitely rent again next time we're in Lahaina.

Had a great day riding to the blow hole and a few other spots in Maui. It was a great experience being able to park easily and enjoy the nice cool air while riding on the winding roads. With tax the cost is really $85 not $65 but no need to buy gas and is still a cheap ride compared to anything else. Mopeds are slow up steep hills but the speed is low anyways in those areas. I would definitely work with this company in the future.

We had one of our favorite days in Maui thanks to 808 Rides. Big shoutout to Anne, who was incredibly friendly and helpful. She got us comfortable on our mopeds fast, and in no time we were cruising northwest Maui taking in the stunning views. Definitely recommend renting mopeds from these guys for at least a day if you’re in the area. This is one of the best ways to experience the beauty of Hawaii!

First time riders and had such a blast! Definitely recommended the 24hr rental at minimum! The whole crew was so sweet and helpful when it came to first time tips and tricks on how to get comfortable, and the return was seamless. Will definitely be going back to 808 when we return to Maui!
