A Cake Life was an excellent choice for our wedding dessert table! Beyond the fact that the desserts tasted AMAZING, Kristin was so helpful while we figured out our selections. She was patient as we worked through some logistics and was happy to provide her expert opinion regarding transportation and timing. I can't wait to hit our one year anniversary so we can dig into our saved cake!

The dessert bar was a major hit at my daughter’s wedding! It was beautifully displayed. Everyone enjoyed all the variety of treats, especially the cupcakes and cake shooters with the ilikoi and strawberry cream fillings.
Kristin is easy to work with as she is organized and very prompt in responding to your questions and requests. The quality desserts and excellent service reflects their professionalism and passion!

I celebrated my 61st Birthday at Signature Steakhouse! A Cake Life was very communicative and were able to make a last minute adjustment I had. They delivered my cake on time and it was delicious. My party went well and stress free knowing that the cake was prepared correctly. I highly recommend them!

Our wedding cake & cupcakes were done beautifully & were delicious! However, I have to knock down 2 stars due to Kristin Kato’s unprofessionalism during the process of ordering it.

After carefully picking out the design & flavors of our cake & cupcake, I submitted an order request in October 2022. My then fiancé & I were out of state, & our parents kindly agreed to give her the moneys for the order on our behalf (as cash & Venmo were the only options, unless you're ok with paying the minimum 3% processing fee for credit & debit card use). I stated that the payment should be paid in full by the end of November 2022.

Long story short - a slew of personal life events happened, & I was not notified that the payment was not actually received. My Aunt/Wedding Coordinator followed up in the beginning of January 2023. My cousins were meaning to add some surprises to my order as their wedding gift to us. However, Kristin was unfortunately snide in her replies. I understand that she never got the payment, but there was no form of follow up whatsoever until my Aunt inquired. I even sent an apology over the miscommunication, & she did not respond until we brought up the topic of payment again. After convincing Kristin to not increase the delivery fee (per website it’s $50), we finally paid the invoice in full.

So, “thanks” Kristin for not only being rude and incapable of decent communication, but also ruining the surprise. It’s a shame knowing that you were so sweet & easy to work with in the beginning. Also, we would expect better service coming from the owner of this establishment. Oh well, everyone was happy on our wedding day.

For those of you reading my experience, I just want to clarify that I still recommend A Cake Life to cater your cake, cupcakes, & other sweets for your special event. However, I would not recommend doing business personally/directly with Kristin Kato.

We want to thank you personally for your support and baking services on our wedding day. Your desserts were DELICIOUS and our guests loved the variety at the dessert bar. The fruit tarts in particular were a huge hit! We were able to sit down and enjoy our Coconut Coconut wedding cake the following day with our family. Yum!

I absolutely loved my experience with A Cake Life. My husband and I are expecting our first child and we were notified on a Friday afternoon that the gender was available for us to know. We wanted to do a private cake reveal so I called around.
I talked with Gina who was fabulous. She not only was able to give guidance on a few options for us to consider but also recommended the right size to achieve our goal but also save costs. She also was able to squeeze us in for a Sunday pickup so we didn’t have to wait! I couldn’t be more grateful!
The cake was perfect! It was absolutely beautiful and the gender color was bright and very obvious once we cut in. On top of that - it was absolutely delicious! This will 100% be our cake place from now on. I can’t wait to order a special cake from them for our baby’s first birthday!

We traveled to Oahu to celebrate our 25th wedding anniversary and to renew our vows. We ordered our cake from A Cake Life for our special occasion. We are so glad that we did! Everything went very smoothly. Our cake was ready on time and as promised. It was wrapped very carefully for pickup, and we had no problems getting it to our destination without damage. We chose to get the coconut pineapple flavor, and everyone raved about how good it was. The cake topper that I ordered online wasn't going to fit with the cake that I chose, but they worked with me to find a great solution! We're very happy with our purchase and recommended A Cake Life for your special occasion.

A Cake Life provided a stunning dessert bar for our wedding and we couldn’t be happier with them! We got the Midi dessert bar and opted for cupcakes, chocolate covered strawberries, and cake shooters. We also had a 6” wedding cake for ourselves and our wedding parties. We were able to make everything peanut free so our guests with allergies could enjoy.

Our guests LOVED it. We had people talking about how they don’t normally like sweets, but went back 4x to the dessert bar. People loved it so much they took to-go boxes on the cupcakes because it’s too good to go to waste. The cake shooters were the star of the show I will say! None of those left.

The team was very helpful leading during all the planning and very punctual the day of. We received our security deposit quickly and easily. 100% recommend A Cake Life. This dessert bar was one of the best things we had for our wedding!

The team is very responsive, puts a lot of TLC into making your day magical and the desserts delightful. We planned our wedding from abroad and did not have a chance to meet in person and do a tasting, so you can imagine how grateful and thrilled we were with the awesome turnout!
