Micheal was very helpful and gave us great information prior to our trip. He helped plan our routes and let us borrow a map.
The kayaks were good quality and we appreciated the fact that they had straps and bumpers to transport on top of the car. A great experience and we’ll be back!

For anyone traveling with children who are still looking for a little adventure, we did the Kahana Rainforest River Kayak Rental and it was a success. 4 adults and a 1,2, and 3 year old rode in two tandem kayaks. The water in the river is perfectly calm and easy to paddle. The kids sat in between our legs, but there was room for 3 true seats and plenty of storage. The kayak was stable and they had a variety of high quality life jackets for the kids. They were able to strap the kayaks to the top of the rental cars, though did mention that drop offs could be arranged to your Airbnb. The staff at Active Oahu were super flexible and accommodating. It made for a stress free and enjoyable day on the water.

Michael was very accommodating in the booking process and knowledgeable in knowing which snorkeling spots to hit up. It was evident that he loves what he does and is so willing to share it with other people. Would go back!

Very good experience, although they can no longer drop off the rental, the owner is very helpful, who will give you the equipment required the rental if you have roof racks. Had a great time!

If I could give this company 10 stars I would! Loved getting our paddleboards, boogie boards and snorkel gear delivered right to the place we were staying. Got great tips for where to go. Highly recommended!

An absolute deal for the 4 hour paddle board adventure through Kahana Valley we had. One of the most beautiful experiences my husband and I had on our honeymoon! Michael was amazing to work with, and accommodated our needs above and beyond. Would recommend to anyone!

Kayaks were nice, and instructor provided dry bag and helped load kayak onto car. Be mindful the pickup is 30 min from chinamans hat. Be sure to check water conditions beforehand yourself because the tour guide does not.

Thrilled to find a place that rents beach gear, big and small, when you have Kailua and Lanikai Beaches in your plans! While you can make the gear request online, I showed up at the pick-up location without one and they were happy to help me right there to get the rental. Umbrella was sturdy and clean and the best part was I didn’t have to lug it from home or buy something I could only use a few times before donating it. Great price for that convenience. Easy pick up and drop off, quick, and close to the beaches.

Everything went great! We picked up the snorkel gear right on time and the instructions were easy to follow. The gear was clean and we got lots of extras included in our rental. The guide was very familiar with the area and informed us of all the best spots. Due to travel and traffic we were a little late returning the gear. That was no issue we were able to return everything and the guide waited patiently for our return. His communication and knowledge of the island was perfect! Will definitely be back to rent soon!

They were super chill and nice. Rented snorkeling equipment and it seemed pretty new and clean.

We had an amazing kayak-tour trough the forest. The tour was a bit shorter than expected, but I guess we could have gone further in to the forest, but the river was getting tight so we decided to turn around. A litte downside was the long drive from the pickup location to the river. The owner is super friendly, helpful and has a lot of knowledge about the area and history to the area.

Everything from kayak reservation to rental is smooth. We were able to rent out waterproof bags and take a hot shower with soap afterward, which was perfect. We went sandbar kayaking and snorkeling for a long time from 8am to 5pm, so the hot shower was really helpful. This is an activity that I would like to visit again.
