Service sucked & yet they insist that you tip them 18%. Portions were very small, not worth the $! To top it off, on our way out, my wife selected a pack of tea cookies which were on the counter & to her surprise, the cookies were 3 to a pack for $7! Lady that cashed us out for the cookies, handed my wife the receipt & good thing that my wife looked at the receipt before paying, they tried to charge 18% tip for something that she hand selected while on her way out in which she didn’t need any assistance with! Steer clear from this place!

We ordered roast duck noodles to go and when we got home there was very little duck like someone cut peiced off the bone and taste was not good.

Stopped by because of the lager parking lot. Had the great Chinese food of the week. Some of the dishes are better than China town.

A good place for a Chinese food with family in the east side.have a party here every year.

They auto grat 18% tip here. And also had a note in the check saying tip was not included. We were only 2 people—not normally an auto grat size. The food was also kinda overpriced as a base and was of lower quality. The xiao long bao was expensive and didn’t hold the soup and the bread for the duck was very hard. Rather than fight the tip, we probably won’t come back.

BYOB, this place is my family's be all end all Chinese restaurant and has been since the days of Duck Yun. Must order the Crispy Gau Gee Noodles and Cold Garlic Chicken. It's best to order family style and share, because everything on the menu is good.

Having a party of nine for moon cake festival. Crispy skin roast pork, juicy roast duck and honey Char Siu are the best in here. I will come back for Thanksgiving and Christmas celebration.

DO NOT EAT HERE. I found a piece of metal and a dead cockroach in my food. The metal looks like it broke off of a stainless steel scouring sponge. I ordered two takeout plates for my husband, toddler and me to share: a dinner plate and a plate of soft gau gee min. The metal was found in the soft gau gee min, and the dead cockroach was found in the sweet sour spareribs portion of the dinner plate. Luckily, none of us ingested the metal or the cockroach, especially my toddler!

I called the restaurant two days in a row and asked to speak to a manager or the owner, and both times was told that no manager or owner was working. I gave my name and phone number both times, and was told both times that the owner - a man named Terry - would call me back.

No one called me back. Instead of calling a third time and speaking to a third worker, I went in person. With my husband and toddler. I asked to speak to Terry and was told by a male worker that Terry was not there. I asked for a manager and was told no manager was working. Besides the male at the register that I was speaking to, there was another male working as well as a female. The female was sitting at a table in the restaurant making what looked like wonton, with her bare hands. She was not wearing gloves as she dipped her hands into a large bowl of raw meat and put a bit of meat into a piece of raw dough.

I showed the male at the register a photo of the metal and roach found in my food, showed him my receipt, and asked for a refund. He said he couldn’t help me. I asked him to call Terry and he said he didn’t know his phone number. I asked him to call a manager and he refused. He pointed to a sign on the wall that said, “ALL SALES FINAL/NO REFUNDS OR EXCHANGES. ” After that, he walked away from the counter and started packaging another customer’s order and ignored me. The other two workers also refused to help me.

I am absolutely disgusted with this business. Disgusted with their dangerous and unsanitary food, and with how they treat customers. My family has patronized this business for years. We noticed the quality of the food has gone downhill recently, ever since the change in ownership, but now we will definitely never return after how they treated us.

Kind of expensive, I ordered a plate with shrimp and orange chicken, and the total was $45

The quality of Aina Haina Chop Suey has really went down. I was a Aina Haina resident for 30 years and always enjoyed coming back to Aina Haina chop suey to help me remember what it was like to live there. After this past experience I dont think I will return.

Lunch time is the worst time to go anywhere to eat I understand. But $19.50 for a sweet sour spare rib rice plate is pretty steep. The portion was really small, it was overly salty for that particular dish and they charge for hot tea which is unusual.

The food quality and portions being subpar was not too bad. But the part of the experience that was the worst was when I went to pay. As the waitress who also was my cashier rung me up she had the audacity to WRITE IN THE TIP. She wrote in the amount of tip and total I should pay as if she wasnt giving me the option. I told her "I cant choose the amount to tip? " And she responded "okay" so I just signed it and left. A gratuity is always at the descretion of the customer based off service and other factors.

YOU SHOULD NEVER WRITE IN THE TIP FOR A CUSTOMER AND EXPECT THEM TO PAY IT.

Mandatory tip for party of 3 and they did not even ask if we like our food. We didn’t like it and they didn’t do anything about it.

The restaurant hand wrote a tip of their own on the receipt. I crossed it out and put zero because they did not care that we didn’t even eat our food. I will be filing a dispute.

Worst Chinese food I’ve ever had and they put their own tip on in their own handwriting before handing you the check. They did not seem to care whatsoever that I did not care for my particular dish which was half roasted chicken. My chicken was all but completely inedible.

I asked for extra char siu and they charged me $6.00. When I opened it there were six slices. $1.00 per slice!

I don't know what was worse, the food or the service. Restaurant was half full, but they told us to wait outside in a VERY rude way. I asked why some people could eat inside and why we had to wait outside. The lady just pointed and said outside. I said we wanted to eat inside because it was hot but she again just said GO! No aloha spirit AT ALL. I would recommend avoiding at all costs.

Per the "owners" reply, no, a female did take our order and did order us to go outside. I see per other reviews that I am not the only one. Do not be fooled by the "owners" reply. When I asked for a cup of water, she said "NO, you buy".

A place for me to eat with my family before I go to trail on Hawaii Kai or Hanauma Bay. Roast duck, pork belly, pork chop and Honey walnut Shrimp are the best.

They charged us $85 for three items. Later we looked at the menu and found out they over charged us by 20ish dollars. They were incredibly rude to us when we tried to explain an error with the ordering online system and then over charged us. This was such a disappointment to see this happen since we have been going here regularly for awhile but after their treatment of us today, I don’t think we will return. Long story short, don’t order online and double check the prices they are charging you.
