Ala Moana Honolulu by Mantra reviews
15The room was ok, a little bit outdated, they serviced every day.had to remind them to leave sugar for my morning coffee, but everything good.had the breakfast included and was so good, very complete, fresh fruit and full buffet.
The toilet may become clogged. However, the signature happy hour steak on the 36th floor is delicious and convenient for getting around Zavas. We highly recommend it.
I love this hotel. Easy access to shopping center and don Quijote. We use card key to access elevator so safe. View from the hotel is not so good even if we made a reservation for ocean view. Beach is close. Great hotel for shopping. I love it.
Polite staff, clean rooms, great views, excellent location, drinkable water, coffee shop, delicious on site restaurants, LOTS of near by restaurans Oh, and they are really accommodating to their interisland customers.
(I should delete this first experience)
The review above is from my first visit.this is from this experience.
I checked in a little early and let the girl know I was from Kauai and showed her my id. She did Not give any Kamaaina (they advertise kamaaina discount). I work for another local hotel and I chose to stay with this hotel because I did not want to stay with the hotel chain I work for because of its location (Waikiki). I asked for synthetic pillows not down pillows due to allergies. They were Not brought. I did not sleep well due to allergies with the pillows. I had a minor surgery and also asked the girl at the front desk if I could have a little later check out, she said I'd have to call in the morning, which I did. Of course they said no. This hotel went from treating me exceptionally nice the last visit to acting as if I am bothering them. I guess I'll stay at another hotel after this experience.
Bedroom are so small that you can’t go in your shower if someone is using the toilet.
Location was great! Can’t ask for more.
Dirty surroundings because of homeless people though. Staffs are not the greatest except the one person that cleans our room. She was really nice.
Lobby hosts are not the friendliest. Parking are the worst in this place. You are paying 35 dollars a night for a safe parking inside the building but we always have to park outside the building and walked 10mins to get to your hotel. Horrible! They said, they will find a parking for you if you can’t find one and one night, we didn’t find any and we went to them and they charged us 45dollars. Ridiculous! Not recommended!
It’s a nice hotel, not a question, but crew are lazy as **** there.
I came here for my wedding but I regret booking this hotel.
Great hotel, big function rooms for big gathering, great staffs, accessible to other shops in the area
Make sure to use HotelDuIIy. ᴄᴏm when booking your stay. This site will compare countless hotel sites and normally will have prices a lot cheaper compared to others! You're welcome:)! This place is the best rated in this area. I have been staying here for a very long time. If you choose this place you will love it I'm sure!
Great location, attached to the Ala Moana mall. An easy walk to Waikiki shopping area and beaches. Hui Car rental also within the mall/ hotel. Popular rooftop bar with happy hour, everyone lines up in the lobby for the elevator, but as a guest of the hotel, you can go directly to the roof from your floor in the hotel.
I had a relaxing time in a room with an ocean view.
The lanai was also nice.
Coin laundry is available, which is convenient.
It was convenient, including Starbucks on the first floor and Ala Moana Center next door!
thank you very much.
Our stay here was absolutely amazing. Clean rooms, excellent service, gorgeous views. Great location. Highly recommend!
If you make a reservation through A, even after paying in full, you will be charged an additional amount per day at the site. It's not a resort fee. It's a service fee of some kind. After referring to other reviews, I found that I was charged a fee for checking in/out at the hotel and cleaning the room in a private room, not a hotel room. So in the end, it is not cleaned every day and you have to pay money to clean it. I don't know if it's just me, but I recommend going somewhere else instead of making a reservation and paying twice. I went on my honeymoon and it was very unpleasant. I had already paid all the money. I had no choice but to sleep. Oh, the noise from the air conditioner was so loud that I couldn't sleep, but that's because the hotel can't manage it. ^^.
I am afraid that if I use a good location, the rating will be high, so I write low. (Actually, the location is good.)
I understand the lucky hour restaurant.
It was late and I made it in at the last minute.
Most of the main dishes are missing
disappointing!
Next time I'll have to be on time!
I thought
I think it's good for Hawaii repeat visitors. It's directly connected to the shopping center, so you can enjoy shopping at your leisure.
Take a walk to the sea. The hotel is nearby, so if you get tired, you can come back and take a rest.
There was also a microwave in the room, so it was very convenient to be able to reheat the food I bought at the food court.
Is Waikiki better for those who want to do a lot of shopping?

We have always enjoyed our stays at the Alamoana Hotel over the years due to its excellent proximity to Waikiki and easy in and out to the rest of the island. The staff has consistently been delightful and eager to assist.
However, we've noticed a decline in room accommodations recently. During our stay, we immediately noticed a musty body oil smell, which extended to the bedding and made it uncomfortable for us to sleep. Additionally, the tile floor in our room felt sticky, raising concerns about overall cleanliness.
We hope this feedback is taken constructively, and we encourage necessary improvements. We would love to continue staying at your hotel, but without changes, it may be challenging.
Location is really good with direct mall access, just cross the AlaMoana parking and you at the mall. Selfparking available $35/day to pay on arrival incl resort fee. Starbucks @ lobby made my mornings perfect. Friendly service & helpful from all staff. Plan your laundry good, only few machines available creating often long waiting; first come first serve. Was our 2nd time, would go there again.
