The experience flying with Felipe was da best eva, great tour guide and he knew Kauai very well. We have lived on Kauai all our lives and taking dis tour, words cannot describe how grateful and blessed that we are and could see our beautiful island from da sky. I am going to recommend Ali'i Helicopter Tours to all our family and friends. It's a excellent experience and worth every penny.

An AMAZING way to see the island of Kauai! I was about ~15-18 weeks pregnant at the time of our trip - it was a “baby moon” of sorts. When I tried to sign up for some of the boat tours on the island, they stated no pregnant women allowed (liability/insurance issue). In the end, I’m SO glad they said that because I then booked us this trip with Ali’i Kauai. It was a private tour — just us and our guide/pilot Felipe. We did the open door (which I HIGHLY recommend) … and my husband and I both had the time of our life! The scenery was stunning! There’s so much of the island you can’t see any other way. Felipe was very knowledgeable and shared interesting history and information about all areas on the island — including an awesome soundtrack:) Thank you to Felipe and the Ali’i Kauai team (Ingrid and Liz) for giving us such an unforgettable memory of our trip to Kauai!

An unforgettable experience to add to your bucket list! There is nothing more beautiful than the Napali coast, and no more impressive way to see it than by helicopter. Our first time flying in a helicopter did not disappoint- Captain Guy was experienced and extremely informative during our tour. Would recommend to anyone who asked.

This was the BEST birthday gift, but don't wait for a special occasion to treat yourself to this experience! My partner and I enjoyed a private doors-off flight around the island and the tour exceeded our expectations. Our pilot was super-friendly and professional (and she had a killer in-flight soundtrack, too). She did an expert job touring us through the highlights of the island while sharing some of the socio-cultural and environmental history, as well as some more contemporary highlights (like filming locations, etc.) all the while also accounting for weather and visibility. I did take dramamine ahead of the flight, just as a precaution, but the flight was quite smooth with only a hint of turbulence lasting just a few seconds here-and-there. We did this flight towards the end of our trip to Kauai, but I do recommend scheduling towards the beginning of your trip in case you need to reschedule due to weather conditions, which can fluctuate quickly (especially in winter - when we were there). Choosing to fly with the doors-off was DEFINITELY the way to go! It felt like you could just reach out and touch the landscape. I would 10/10 book this again and certainly will when I come back to Kauai (which will hopefully be very soon!). Thank you Ali'i Kauai Air Tours!

Absolutely loved our experience flying with Ali’i Air Tours! A must do while visiting, what an incredible way to see Kauai! We did a private plane ride with Makana. He was very knowledgeable and made us feel safe! Great option for two people looking for a personal tour. Can’t say enough good things about our experience!

The first thoughts are WOW! Amazing! You will definitely see the island in a different way that you cannot see from the ground. Our pilot Felipe was excellent! Part pilot, part tour guide, and definitely knowledgeable. Could not have asked for more except more time!

It was an amazing and unforgettable experience. Our pilot, Lea, gave us a detailed safety briefing which I loved. The views from the helicopter are breathtaking and I will definitely recommend this experience to anyone else. I felt safe throughout the entire flight and enjoyed every minute of it.

My wife and I had an amazing time with Ali'i. I went in with some hesitation but immediately after talking with the pilot I felt more at ease. She was professional, knowledge, and made the trip more fun. The views were breathtaking and we learned so much about the beautiful Kauai island and would recommend this tour / company to anyone.

Awesome tour. We flew with the doors which allowed for better pictures, but I still missed some pictures because it was such an amazing tour. A few times I was too busy watching to be thinking of taking a picture

This helicopter tour was everything we wanted. Great views, top pilot and loved the open doors.

The staff was very friendly and welcoming. They were very forthcoming about the ride under certain weather conditions. Our first group was planned for an early morning ride however due to weather changes, the path would have excluded a good portion of the island. The staff was very transparent about this and allowed us the option to cancel, which we did. When our second group was planned the weather cleared up and they offered us to have 3 instead of 2 people go.

They are extremely geared towards passenger safety. They spent a good amount of time to ensure we understood all safety concerns and how to go about a situation in case of emergency.

Our pilot, Felipee, was so kind and welcoming. We had an instantaneous bond and we knew we could trust him the moment we met. He was so caring and attentive towards all of our needs. He showed us the whole island and was very informative. He answered questions and played very good music during the ride to keep everyone calm.

I recommend Alii Kauai helicopter tours to everyone. I would strongly recommend open door tour as it allows the best visual. Thank you for sharing the beauty of your island with us in such a great experience!
