First stay at this Hotel. Awesome location and really nice main area with grand entrance, lobby, aquarium etc
Rooms were pretty nice but bring ear plugs if you’re a light sleeper. Agree with the other comments about thin walls.you can hear TV easily and toilets flushing. Must be a function of the way the refurb was done. Just have to hope you don’t get noisy neighbours.
Toilet shower area is about as small as I’ve ever seen in a hotel at this price point but no real issue.
The gym facilities are great. Had the buffet breakfast…definitely not a high end offering in terms of the range, just a middle of the road service.
Place has a nice relaxed feel. In general the staff were friendly although the girl on the front desk at breakfast was more interested in watching whatever was on her phone.

We stayed at this resort hotel due to a recommendation from a family member’s previous stay. All is well until the second day where room service is performed. I tucked my silk PJ under the sheets and after we came back to the hotel, the sheets are changed and my PJ is gone. I called guest service and a manager took the complaint. She said she will email the laundry service company and follow up. 2 days passed, I called, still no progress. Night before checking out, I followed up again, still no update. They took down my contact info and promised to follow up. It’s been 5 days since we have been back and zero contact. It’s unprofessional and upsetting to say the least. There was no alternate options offered if not found, no one explained anything. We are disappointed thoroughly.

The hotel rooms are not as nice as website and the resort and parking fees are outrageous. The amenities are amazing and it's close to the beach and everything else but I felt like my room could have been nicer.

Nice relaxing amisphere good location walking distance from all the good food. Nice staff, plenty of activities. But to the husband's and boyfriends gotta be aware 2mins from all the high-end stores, lol, so that was a minus for me, but for my wife, perfect timing, big plus smh.

If you are reviewing, SAVE your money and DO NOT book this hotel. We stayed for 9 nights and booked 3 rooms. No parking included despite having booked 3 separate rooms. You will pay $50 per night for parking, + you will be charged $50 extra per night as a resort fee ($100 extra per night on top of your quoted price) for basic services…. (no meals included either). Bottled water offered on day 1 only, u pay for water after day 1. I will never recommend this hotel based on the front desk staff. The desk staff are disinterested. Completely non attentive. I have travelled all over the world and the service is sub standard. Desk staff just don’t care. Pool and bar staff were good. Perhaps they can take over the training for the front desk. Will prob get the standard mahalo Google response from the management.

It was the first time my husband and I stayed here and it was absolutely amazing! We had the ocean view with a balcony and at night we loved sitting outside and just enjoying the weather! Would recommend this place just because you’re close to the ocean, shopping store, and activities!

If you pay nearly $350 per night
Came to this hotel for the first night of my honeymoon
Then you have better options because:

shortcoming:
1. Water from bathtubs and toilets will seep onto the floor.
2. Bathroom/toilet is small (in twin room type)
3. There is a lot of noise and poor sound insulation. The DJ music in the swimming pool on the fifth floor can be heard in the hotel from morning to night.
4. Asking the front desk to send you a microwave costs $10 per night.
5. Daily cleaning of the room is not provided for a two-night stay

advantage:
You can see partial sea view when you step out of the balcony (partial sea view room)

Location fantastic.premium ocean room nice. BUT musty smell and room service every other day wasn't disclosed

The hotel is nice and to my knowledge they recently renovated, however they have carpet in the rooms. To me, this is a no no when at beachy/wet area. The carpet was moist to the point where we constantly had to wear shoes. The bathroom also didn't have a vent or fan to help with condensation, so everything always smelled wet. Due to this I wouldn't return to this hotel but if it's not a big deal for you I say book it.

I'm staying at Alohilani for the second time and I'm really regretting it. After the second night the weather started getting cooler so I turned the air off but started to smell urine every time I went to lay in bed. I started investigating with the flashlight of my phone and sure enough I found urine stains under the nightstand. I brought it up to guest services in the morning and the woman was very accommodating and handled it right away by switching us to another room with an upgrade. I really don't care for the minor upgrade of seeing a little more ocean but I appreciated the gesture. I left for the day to enjoy the island and as soon as I got in I settled in, turned the AC off to turn in for the night and what do you know.it smells of urine again. I turned on my phones flashlight and went straight to the carpet and found urine stains in the same exact spot under the nightstand of my new room! I don't know if they allow dogs or some people are just extremely disgusting but I called guest services again to let them know (because they should be aware). This time a male answered the phone and said that his manager would come up to our room. The manager did not come up to see or smell for themselves about the complaint of unsanitary conditions. A janitor of some sort came with a bottle and towel and said he was there to clean the bathroom. I again explained the situation and showed him where the smell was coming from under the nightstand, not the bathroom but he wrote it off and said it was coffee stains and that he didn't smell anything and walked out with no solution. I called guest services to let the person who I spoke with earlier know that his manager did not come up. He sounded very irritated that I was calling him back and explained to me that he could not offer a different room (as if I was trying to get another free upgrade) but that if the smell still bothered me after I slept on it then to let him know in the morning. Wow. This bothers me now, it will bother me tomorrow and for the years to come when I think about this trip.

Excellent location and absolutely beautiful property with an even more amazing fish tank in the restaurant and bar right off the lobby.

Service is outstanding, staff is friendly, and the property is very clean and well kept.

Waikīkī Beach is right across the street. There is also a lots of shopping, restaurants, bars, and much more, all within a few minutes walk of the hotel.

The pool and fitness center are very nice as well. In fact, I would say the pool is outstanding if you enjoy swimming laps.

The restaurant and bar are outstanding and food and drink prices are reasonable.

I highly recommend this property!

Rooms were terribel tiny and just worn out.

Dinning was massivley over priced and really poor qaulity.

Overall really poor quality hotel dont be fooled by the Foyer and the Aquarium the rest is really tired and worn out.

Beautiful boutique hotel right next to waikiki beach! I thoroughly enjoyed my stay here.even though they told us that we would we getting our room cleaned every 2 days, the cleaners came every day and all staff were lovely

When I checked out of the hotel, I paid for Swell Bar's F&B. I was so distracted at the time that I didn't check the billing amount, but it wasn't until I looked at the receipt later that I discovered that the payment was incorrect. I was charged for food on days I didn't even use. I emailed the hotel twice about this, but never received a response.

I only used the swell bar on January 13th. That day, there was an issue where the waitress cleared the table while I was away to go to the bathroom. After I returned to her table, I asked her why she had cleared her table and she said she thought we had gone. There was more than half of the food and beer left, I hadn't even signed the bill, and my glasses and bag were still there! She said she was sorry and brought back beer and half food. We ate food and beer, which she brought back, and signed bill, including the tip amount, and then went to room. My guess is that on the 13th, the waitress thought we had left and charged us for our food, and when we came back, we were also charged for our food, which we had officially signed for. (I don't know why the latter is dated the 14th.) The problem is that even after several days, the hotel does not respond. I hope this issue is resolved quickly.

Just had a FABULOUS birthday staycation there! LOVED the pool, hot tub, LIVE DJ by the pool/lounge area which is awesome - Matt @ the bar was STELLAR. Every staff member was friendly and helpful and I had a lovely birthday, mahalo!
