Aqua Skyline Hotel at Island Colony, Honolulu HI

We came from New Zealand and stayed for 10 days, the only 2 things out of EVERYTHING that I would change if I was the owner, put a information book in each room, like where to put rubbish, what day cleaner comes, what lifts to use, just the basics, and get rid of the only rude person we came accross in the whole of Hawaii, the big grumpy guard at the lobby desk, he clearly hates his job and is not a people person, Joseph and pat are lovely, help us every day A+ we will be back, Joseph is a real asset

"UNDER CONSTRUCTION" means lots of noise.
Nothing was actually clean but there were no roaches and no mosquitoes.
Please factor that into your choice.

Extremely friendly and accommodating staff. Very clean area. Within walking distance to a lot of restaurants, Waikiki beach and shopping. Would most definitely recommend staying here.

We stayed in an Airbnb here and it was pretty nice. Great location the one downside is the pool was shut which was a bit frustrating.

We booked a room for 4 people and ended up by getting a room with ONE kingsize bed! The rest of us had to sleep in uncomfortable roller beds. To get a new room took one day and we had to check out for that in the morning, while we got our new room in the afternoon!

MY 1 year old BABY WAS ABOUT TO DIE BECAUSE OF THIS HOTEL STAFF.
We got locked out in the balcony and baby was inside the room.
They dont have a master key to open the door. We kept calling and shouting for help for about 40 mins. Nobody was picking up call at the front desk. Even 911 didn’t help.
My husband somehow managed to break the glass and WE RESCUED our baby.
THE HOTEL STAFF AGREED THAT THEIR MASTER KEY DOESNT WORK!
If you have babies please dont stay at this hotel.
They will let your baby die.

Gets charge for amenities when you check in at the hotel. $25 plus tax totaling up to $30. Hotel wise - Floors are sticky, has kitchenette with no sink or dish soap. Only thing good about this place is the view.

Keep in mind, these are condos. Some are very well maintained, some not so much. I absolutely loved the view, the location is perfect. I can't speak for any other units aside from the two I saw. The difference between the 2 was night and day. Choose wisely. We had to be moved to another location due to a cockroach infestation.

I would recommend this hotel for sure. The staff is great, very friendly and helpful. The place was very clean. The pool, jacuzzi and the cabana areas were cleaned and sanitized everyday! It is within walking distance of most shops.

It is very noisy - lots of cars, motorbikes with loud engines passing by everyday, even in midnight! I wake up every-time when they pass by, not a single good sleep after a month of staying here!

Not sure if we got lucky or they fumigated the place but there were no roaches when I stayed here in May 2022. As others have said, the room is a bit dated/shabby but the location can’t be beat. Right in the heart of Waikiki. Pool/jacuzzi is nice, you have to pay extra to “register” to use the fitness center. Beach towels/chairs can be borrowed at the front desk.

You get what you pay for. The AC dripped, there were roaches and other bugs in the room. There was also an additional resort charge that we were only inform about during arrival. I would recommend you skip this place unless you are really bumming it.

The apartment style room makes for a comfortable "home away from home" feeling. Beautiful view, and fantastic front desk staff who consistently helped at all hours of the day.

The hotel was ok, we were there for 1 week. Unfortunately the room was cleaned just once. The other days we have done the rubbish by our own and had always go to the reception to get new towels for showering.
The Whirlpool was great, never had one, which was so warm like this one.
Thr location of the hotel was great.
In my oppionion is the hotel to expensive for what we got.

Rooms were not clean. Very limited utensils and daily needs things provide. No extra dish wash no kitchen towel. Cockroach were roaming here and there

Customer service is awesome staff friendly, however the hotel is infested with roaches! Don’t be fooled by the photos the room does not look like that at all! Soon as you step in your room roaches greet you! I immediately went back down and asked for a refund I wasn’t about to stay 6 days with roaches and these aren’t small roaches I end up at the Hyatt a block away which was awesome! You can literally see the roaches walking like their at the mall shopping it was a no for me they kept some of my money even though I didn’t stay the night idc I was out! The front desk acted surprised which I know they knew They kept my 50$ deposit which I was told I would get it back after I checked out never got it! Oh they will charge you for the pool towels $5 each if you don’t return them after using them you
Literally have to sign them out and back it! Pool isn’t always open so the beach is your best bet! Vending machine doesn’t work elevator be having problems but nothing beats the roaches! ROACHES ROACHES ROACHES DO NOT STAY HERE! They were even on the bed! In the shower on the stovetop crawling up the wall! I left! And checked into a 5 star hotel

If I could give this hotel 0 stars I would! This place is HORRIBLE! Do not stay here! You will regret it! You have to pay 30 a day for parking! And my family and with an infant came home from a long day of sightseeing a roach infested room all over my infants clothes! It was beyond disgusting! They tried to give me another room and when I went to that room there were roaches in the bathroom! This is Roach Hotel! Do Not stay here unless you want to walk out with roaches all on your clothes! It was so bad that my family and I left in the middle of the night back to the airport and slept in our rental car! Breastfeeding an infant and dealing with 2 other tired kids. I’m beyond disappointed. This place should not be allowed to run a business!
