Aston Kaanapali Shores, Lahaina HI

This place is one of the best in Maui. Amazing location, not crowded at all, even though condos are fully booked which was surprising to me. Walking distance to grocery store, food truck truck area, restaurants, abc store. They even have a store where you can buy most of the needs and gifts in there. Steps to the beach and beach has a large portion that is all sand which is great for swimming and there are areas where rocks perfect for snorkeling. We stayed in ground level and also top level (we had to switch since we wanted extended our stay but the condo was booked) both condos were awesome, they have all the kitchen tools you might need. Pools are great, one of them is heated, 2 hot tubs and prices are very reasonable for being in Maui. We will be definitely going there again. We were so sad leaving this place.

The place was great and being right by the water was also. There was a pool by the water and it had a bar, bonus.

Front desk manager James is extremely rude BUT Food and Beverage director Nathan Mau is INCREDIBLE.

Here’s the synopsis: like all resorts in this part of Maui, the views are amazing. The ocean front pool is very small, but nice and clean. The resort pool is larger and very nice. Neither pool is open before 8am, so if you’re an early bird or still struggling with the time change, be prepared to kill time. The staff was friendly. The Beach Club restaurant had a somewhat limited menu, but the food was good and you could get in without a wait. Everything at this resort is very cheap by Maui standards. Dinner with 2 entrees and 3 drinks was only $62. The sundries store on location doesn’t even appear to inflate prices from a grocery store. The downside: the rooms really need updated. The bathroom has 1980’s style plastic drop down ceilings. The bathtubs look to be original. The shower head is about arm-pit level and uses a low-flow nozzle which makes your shower really annoying. The AC cooled the living room well, but our bedroom was about 5 degrees warmer, which made for hot sleeping conditions. And, despite what the booking websites tell you, the view you are presented for your room when you book is Not the view you actually get. Bedding and linens are ok, but definitely not on par with any of the big branded resorts. Similarly, the lobby is out-dated. The check-in process is slow, but part of that is the mandates Covid stuff required by state and county. All-in-all, it’s a fine mid-tier resort, but rooms need some TLC.

I cant think of anything I dont like about this place. Location is fantastic. Pools and hot tubs are great. Restraunt and Bar are top notch. Go see Ben and Mark at the pool side bar.

Great place for a honeymoon! Beautiful beach and pools, some fun activities and shopping on site and really good food from the restaurant. Definitely recommend this place!

Such a great resort. Two bedroom, two bath condo. Full kitchen. Loved it.perfect location and nice beach. Everyone was so friendly.

Rooms are descent not very clean but descent. Pool doesn't open till 8am and closes at 10. The BBQs are hidden and not very accessible. I don't recommend the concierge lady. She was yelling at a customer that wasn't wearing a mask and she wasn't wearing one. I tried booking a Zipline she was super rude and kept telling me everything was booked, so I booked online through tripadvisor. She reminded me of a used car salesman. My fiance talked to the other lady Gina and said she was very helpful.

Great resort, very clean and relaxing. Both pools are really nice, one pool was about 15 feet from the beach which makes for great sunsets. The studio was nice, had a full stovetop microwave and fridge. Overall no complaints, Lei at concierge helped schedule a snorkeling tour for us at Lanai.

The views! Interiors are a bit dated but overall great location to stay with family. Has a restaurant, cafe, and multiple pools. Beach access is great.

Great views on the beach or from your room. Shops on the main floor for souvenirs or pool/ocean items you need. We used the BBQ pits and they looked like they're cleaned thoroughly on the regular. They worked great.

Great hotel. Very family friendly. Pools were beautiful. Ocean was 20 feet away.gorgeous.everyone was friendly.

Location and employees were great. Common areas were very nice. Room was pretty much a 3 star room. Tired and needed to be updated. If you go try the food trucks in front.

We loved staying at this beautiful resort. The pools, hot tubs and grounds are all wonderful! We enjoyed the convenience of the on-site restaurant, bar, spa and cute shops. Staff was friendly, room was large and clean with upgraded amenities such as new tv, blender, many kitchen items, soft linens. Conveniently located near other shops and restaurants as well. The beach here is just gorgeous and so was our ocean view room! Would absolutely recommend Kaanapali shores for your visit to Maui!

The reservation we made was for a studio w/kitchen. We chose this over another resort because it says it includes a washer/dryer in the unit. Its even in our confirmation email but when we arrived we were told that none of the studios have washer/dryer and we have to use the coin operated facilities on site instead. The resort is full so no switching. We feel mislead and hope the rest of the resort lives up the pictures. Also $20/day parking fee. The room is clean but dated. The staff is very helpful and welcoming.
