If you’re staying here or valeting please watch out for Micah and Phil. Those two are the laziest valet guys I have ever met in my entire life. 2 days back to back they were doing the grave yard shift and did not bother to pick the car up for us and had the audacity to charge us for nothing and in cash. Pretty obvious where that’s gonna go. They also just stared when I had to pull out my car out of a really tight spot and did not guide me at all. Management needs to give better training or replace them. Customers do not deserve to be treated this way especially if they’re paying for everything.

Views were nice. But rooms were not cleaned very well, even when covid is still happening. And the bathroom smelled musty.

The location is great. Near the beach with great view if your floor is high. But don't expect hotel services. No one come to clean your room, you have to fetch your own towels, coffee (very bad ones), shampoos etc.

SPEND YOUR VACATION STAY DOLLARS ELSEWHERE. While I completely understand COVID issues and how that has changed the hospitality industry (I am a small business owner in the service industry), when it came to this part of our much anticipated vacation, we were disappointed and honestly quite fed up with the Aston Waikiki Sunset at every point along the way.
Some of the issues we encountered:
* The rooms are just “meh”. ESPECIALLY for paying over $3k to stay here for a week, I expect an overly clean room, plenty of blankets and towels, cookware, usable balcony space, solid interior doors (not ones that have slats in them and can be peered through), working windows, hot water, open and accessible amenities as advertised, and the list goes on.

Additionally, these items were also ridiculous and or need attention:

* griping at people to pull up a mask while their security staff weren’t wearing one at all.
* telling guests they must reserve an OUTDOOR POOL time, but failing to answer the phone when guests attempt to call to make said reservation. (And also sending your pool Bouncer to boot people out when there was NO ONE ELSE THERE, if the “time had expired”.)
* allowing only 5 people at the pool, and only for an hours time, to then require 30 minutes after to sanitize. How bad are your chemicals that they aren’t working in the first place? Also, do you not think that we are all swimming together in the ocean, right next to each other? ALSO.having us sign our life away in a waiver to swim in your pool would negate your liability should someone “contaminate” your pool.

* the trash, dirt and grime in and around your building needs to be addressed. I understand you can’t do anything about the homeless community hanging out, but if you don’t take care of the outside issues, how can you not expect them to
Use it as a garbage can also?

* The “market” in the hotel is basically an offering of a smelly replica of a third-world open air market. Had almost nothing, crazy over priced (as expected), and I’ve honestly had better experiences in actual third world countries with markets.

*your parking pass system is in dire need of streamlining. You should simply add a daily charge for parking to the room for the duration of a guest’s stay rather than having someone attempt to navigate through a broken stall with different directions from whomever is working that shift on how to insert one ticket, but grab another, but pay for the last hours you were there, but you need a new ticket when you come back, but also it’s prorated when you come
Back so you’ll need an additional ticket. What the heck.

All in all, if I could do it again, a thousand times over I would stay somewhere else. I’ve been to Oahu before, but this was by far the most disappointing.

It was just what we needed for a staycation including that extra pull out bed in the living room. Everything was clean and they even supplied dishes, silverware, pots and pans, a tea kettle everything you can think of. Just like a home away from home.

I wish I could give this place 0 stars. It was dirty, the staff was unhelpful, and requests were never filled when requested or agreed.

Great service. They are remodeling but customer service is great. Make a point to meet Penny. She will gladly help. I would definitely stay here again!

Staff was rude and unprofessional. We were told we would be able to check in early and when we got there we were told otherwise. I’d rather stay at a trap house.

I am unaware of how the experience in the hotel is. What I am aware of is the manager's desire to be inhospitable and weasel every nickel out of his patrons as possible.
I found myself in a situation in which I paid for a day of parking that I didn't need, within three hours returned and asked for a refund for the unneeded day, was told by the employee to call the office in the morning, and then was told I could get no refund because the night had already passed.
It was only $25 dollars, but can you really afford to have customers never return because of terrible customer service?
I understand the manager was probably just having a bad day, but that is no justification for treating people with the level of disrespect that was shown.

The parking lot felt disorganized and cramped anyway.

Horrible communication with owner of airbnb! Internet pictures weren't what we received! No televison in either bedroom, no cable for the television, air conditioner didn't cool off the bedrooms at night, 2 couples for 2 bdrms. 1 bdrm had a queen size bed AND a twin bed not even 3 feet away from each other. The 2nd bdrm had ONLY ONE TWIN size bed. To make matters worse the building has been under renovation since April of this year. We were not told that the water would be shut off between 8 a.m. And 5 p.m. The water in the Pacific Ocean was really beautiful though!

It's an older building going through updates. It'll be awhile before that's completed. Nothing fancy here but it gives you all the basics.
Location is it's best asset.
Some of the units are privately own.

Location is good. 5 minute walk to the beach. Lots of food options and ABC stores nearby. Price of the rooms reflects the location. If it was closer to the beach it would be a lot more expensive. They have their own parking lot and a mini store in the hotel so it is convenient. That said it is a bit worn and it shows. For most of the rooms there is a VERY LIMITED view of the ocean, beach, and forget about seeing the sunset so the name is deceiving. Mostly you see other hotels and condos. Lots of construction going on at the hotel and it feels dingy. Carpets and walls show their age. Furniture feels and looks like it has seen better days. If all you need a bed with place to cook and a fridge that is not as expensive as other hotels closer to the beach it is okay.

The hotel was absolutely dirty the rooms were disgusting. We arrived on June 10th I had prepaid and reserved 2 2 bedroom suites. Our group Is of 10 arrived For them to say sorry we overbooked our hotel you don't get what you paid for we went ahead and gave you an extra room instead. I explained to them that we had children with us and that we would have to put 2 minors in one of those rooms alone without an adult. The hotel did not care it took 4 to 5 days for a manager to get back to us after asking daily To speak to a manager. The staff was absolutely horrible. They were unwilling to help with anything at all. Don't waste your money staying at this hotel you would have better luck sleeping on the beach.

Nice place to stay with a very helpful and friendly staff. Hotel is 3 blocks from Waikiki Beach within walking distance. Hotel rooms have a full kitchen with dishes, pots and pans, stove, full size refrigerator, full living room, separate bedroom and bathroom. It's not super fancy but it is clean. Reasonably priced. I would recommend this place if your watching your budget.
