Wonderful place if you have little kids. Shallow, calm waters and great snorkeling. One negative is the dirty public restroom which is about 100 yards away from the beach parking lot.

Short beach with some shade from the trees. The water is perfect for children and non-swimmers, there's a huge shallow area before the break with a coral reef. Makes for easy snorkeling too, we saw a lot of colorful fish and a giant turtle swam by. Parking seems tricky, there's a tight road that dead ends at the beach, with only 3 or 4 spots and not much else nearby

Excellent snorkeling especially for beginners. Very smoothe and quite shallow. The coral has been badly damaged by careless swimmers, but there's still a lot of fish and we saw many turtles.

This is one of those reviews that you need to stop reading and just go to the beach. It’s also one of the reviews that I’m tempted to give one star instead of five so that no one else comes here. Have you ever experienced that
We’ve taken our family here a couple times in Maui. This is really one of my favorite places to take the kids snorkeling. We saw several turtles while we were here. There’s enough fish to keep you interested but it’s not a huge fish area.
The best thing about this is there’s no beach break. The waves break about 300 feet offshore until you have a ton of room to just snorkel play sit and enjoy the beach here. The only downside is that the bathroom is a little far away if you need to use it.

I am a photographer and just had a shoot there. Easy to get a permit and a beautiful spot for sunset. It can be busy but that is what comes with such a beautiful beach. It is a long Beach though, so you can find some space there to go!:)

Great small beach, safe for babies. Easy access. Parking by the boat ramp, just to the north.

Saw a turtle sunbathing and was a very chill and relaxing environment. Would stay away from right-side as there are quite a few homeless camps and tents at up over there but not unsafe. Lots of babies and tide was very low and safe for them to enjoy the beach experience as well! Also saw a great rainbow I shared in my photos. Would definitely go back.

Great beach for snorkeling, water is only knee high for about as far as you can go. We saw lots of turtles swimming and tons of different species of fish, urchins and beautiful coral. The water is very calm. Great beach for families!

Baby beach has low waves and fish/turtle all around you without snorkel. Pros busy with kids and some shade from trees, lots of sandy areas to park yourself on, cons busy with lots of kids splashing and hanging out hard to find parking.

Calm water and easy parking on Kenui street, but the sand is really coarse and abrasive, almost like rocks. My toddlers were not a fan.

This beach is ok. Mostly calm with some smaller waves. We saw a few turtles while snorkeling. Kind of different to see a cemetery next to the beach.

This was a great beach! It was a little difficult to find the entrance, but it's a little walkway beside a house. Look for the garbage can and recycling can. There is a reef a ways out, so the water is nice and calm. The snorkeling is great, and we even saw a sea turtle, who didn't mind us following him around. There is a bit of grass, and a bit of shade, not just open sand, so that added to the experience.

The name suits it! My kids loved swimming here, and they were TERRIFIED to swim anywhere else in the ocean. No waves!

Best place on the island to snorkel independently. We saw several turtles, sea slugs, and fish.
Please remember to stay at least 10 feet away from turtles and to never touch them. Respect locals and their land by cleaning up.
