Bar 35 reviews
21Sad they're only open Thu - Sat but still one of my favorite bars. Drinks are strong and reasonably priced, with a great beer selection. Everything you could need from a bar.
Pretty good place to chill. Always go there to pregame on Fridays. Fun on the inside cause it's a nice Dancey vibe. On the outside it's pretty chill too but feels like your hanging out at a sauna.
One of the best bars in China Town; if you happen to visit, go to the back room Alex the bartender will take good care of you!
Good beer selection, non-draft that it's. I think like 5 taps for the draft selection. Decent pricing for the beers. We've visited a few times now and the draft menu seems to rotate a steady variety of beers.
Food here is better than expected especially for bar food. The lumpia is good. The wings are good too. Ordered twice baked. Pizza is nice too. Really thin crispy crust and it all had good flavor.
There's a couple tables and a decent length bar. There's another bar in the rear that's outdoors work seating and another area indoors for seating with more tables.
Service is good but when it gets busy the servers are not set up to handle the work load causing waits to build up but I guess it is expected all considering. Aside from that they are very friendly and helpful. If you're trying to come on the weekend get there early because not only will you hit a cover charge after a certain hour but you will also find yourself standing and not at a table.
They've got a DJ that starts at like 9 and typically plays a variety of music trying to please the whole crowd. Lots of dancing and drunken drink spilling going on on the dance floor area.
The men's bathroom is useable and I don't recall the wife complaining about the women's one, so must be acceptable as well.
Parking is strictly street and paid city parking lots so be prepared for that. You may be hunting for a spot for a hot minute if you get to town too late. There are a bunch of bars and eateries all around this area so it's usually pretty poppin' especially on Friday night and the weekends but we tend too have a good time and might out when we come here.
Lead bartender was super awesome and attentive. Food was delicious and service in general was great (with good happy hour specials). Good chill spot to hang out - only hung out at bar, did not go to patio.
Bar35guest is a most excellent wifi connection. The downtown young, up and coming, and outgoing. People are people as they say. Most enjoy a good night out, dressing the best. Somewhat bold but obnoxious, keep caution in mind, as a new meaning to the word sophomoric. Hee hee!
I highly recommend this bar, it's fun to go to and they have this really good lemon drop martini called the Christini (not on the menu you have to ask for it), it's great for those that prefer it to be a little less sweet or more sour.
There was a bit of a line and I believe the cover was $10 or $15. Not a huge place - decent sized. Couldn't really taste the alcohol in our drinks and the music was less what you'd hear on the radio, but pretty chill. There was even a man playing the drum as he walked around, so that was interesting! They have a couple VIP areas in the back and a smaller patio area with cute umbrella decorations all above your head.
Love this place. Great vibe and ambiance. Music are great and the drinks are better. The service could be better but that won't stop me in going back
Ok selection of beer/wine/cocktails, just enough that whoever goes will have at least something they'll drink. Initial room has tall tables of a typical bar. Hallway has lounges and games. Back patio is actually really nice, allows smoking, and has second bar.
Nice environment.hip hop music bouncers are friendly. 10pm everything shuts down due to covid. Although some bars and lounges are still open.
It was a cool lounge spot in Chinatown before the vaccine mandate. Friendly staff. Decent beer selection but overpriced ($6-$13 for a single beer). Especially if you like craft beers. Mixed drinks aren't all that great though, just average and overpriced too. The lines get really long on Fridays and Saturdays so beware. Come early around 8: 30pm or earlier unless you want to wait in line for 30+min. Gonna miss being able to come and go without being required to Vax. Hope they don't lose too much business and shutdown.:/
This is Hawaii, don't expect a great nightlife. Clubs and bar are closing at midnight, crowd in their 20s, food and drinks are overpriced. Bar 35 is pretty fine though. And even if you don't like it, there are other bars in the same street. Go early and give it a try.
Really enjoyed our night here. The staff was friendly and helpful. The doorman was even polite which is rare at bars/nightclubs. The patio out back was the best with good music and drinks. Get there early for a comfy seat! This is definitely the best bar in Chinatown.
Very nice atmosphere. Staff is very accommodating. The vegetarian pizza and martinis were awesome!
Nice pub/club but staff on the entrance not really. It doesn’t cost to behave just a little beat.
Great place to enjoy your drinks with friends, staff is super friendly, drinks are decently priced, but more importantly the place is chill
Mininalsitic high end dive bar the kind of place you'd go if your avoiding a bounty hunter
Open now with plenty of space for distancing, their standard huge beer list, and solid food made in-house. Definitely going back soon
Food was good. Drinks were a bit odd. They had a ton of happy hour options for great prices, but every vodka drink was super sweet. I love beer but figuring out what beer was available was a lot of work. Seemed like they had 100 beers available but I ended up getting a Guinness because it was easier.
