Barefoot Beach Cafe @ Queen's Surf Beach reviews
16 Acai bowl is very thick
Honey sweet type
The smaller bowl has quite a bit more than it looks.
One whole pineapple smoothie
Impressive size
It's too much for one person to handle.
Think carefully before ordering
Much delicious sweet potato fries, Hawaiian style chicken, excellent customer service delivered
My favorite thing was the pineapple smoothie but I asked them to add mango to it. I love the mango-pineapple combination. It’s served in a real pineapple which looks cool.
Tacos: shrimp was good, fish was meh, pork was good.
Husband ordered the extra taco (4 total) but he only got 3 at the window. He mentioned it and the server was saying “no” but then the cashier who took our order verified that he did pay for 4.
Quesadillas: very oily, overly salty.
Açaí bowl: overly sweet.
Nice shaded area with seating, lots of flies.
I was just passing by and stopped in to look at the menu. The food smelled amazing as I approached. I ordered the catch of the day and it was so good! It was not expensive at all, and the entire dish burst with flavor!
The two tattooed female employees inside the shop saw me, but they were super busy laughing at me and playing on their phones. I know they don't have to do their job because the location attracts people automatically, but the quality of the food and services is definitely poor.
Lunch with pigeons
lots of pigeons,
Forks and other cutlery are not replenished.
The chicken was quite salty and the rice was smooth.
Pineapple smoothie is too sweet
Self-service, not bad. Always live music and the food is great. Try Locko moko and the fish is very tasty. Definitely go.
This is one of the best kept secrets in Honolulu. It's a lovely open air restaurant on the beach off the beaten path of Waikiki without the hustle and bustle of a ton of people. Loved it so much we ate there 7 times for lunch and dinner over the week and a half we were there. Great food, very reasonable prices, no alcohol. Live music every night with Hawaiian dance lessons on Monday nights. The proprietor, Randy, is awesome. He let us get a pineapple to take home to our grandson and they don't normally sell them whole. Also treated us to some delicious cheesecake for our 50th. The evening sunsets were incredible and we highly recommend it. Thanks Randy.
Outdoor dining right by the water. We went for breakfast and all the entrees we had were delicious. All seating is outdoors and their is a walk up window for ordering. Absolutely beautiful place to enjoy breakfast by the beach.
I definitely recommend Barefoot Beach Cafe! We stopped by around 7: 00pm for some food, and the steak was a great value! There was a live musician that played a variety of genres, which made the atmosphere so cozy and laid back.
This was a nice little find for vegan options on the beach in Waikiki. Its certainly worth going if for nothing else but the scenic walk, but the menu is amazing as well. Highly recommend the vegan loco moco and smoothies
You must go here haha. It's just a stone's throw away from the beach and has great food and atmosphere. However, since you are outdoors, you have to chase away some flies while eating, and there are endless birds. There is no separate parking lot, so I recommend walking rather than driving on weekends.
I happened to stop by while taking a walk to the park in the morning, and the coffee and acai bowl were good! The sea is right in front and the park is behind, so it's green and the atmosphere is great! An acai bowl costs $12, and an iced coffee (Starbucks drip coffee style) costs about $3.
We enjoyed our breakfast here. Beautiful atmosphere. Food was mediocre. I got the Loco moco with fried rice: I found the patties a little undercooked.
We also requested the eggs to be well done on the egg benedicts, which was poached instead.
The staff were kind.
You can enjoy delicious meals while listening to live music.
I was happy to hear my favorite song.
Fantastic location next to the park, in front of the beach. Close by yet far enough from the hustle and bustle of Waikiki beach. There’s excellent community spirit here. With the three musicians who play for hours and guests accompanying the hula dance. Reasonable prices for delicious food and sunset view are bonuses.
