Beach Tree Bar, Kailua-Kona HI

The area is nice, but since I live here I'm not as focused on the ocean view during dinner. I had the filet mignon and while it was cooked properly, it had some kind of bland syrup on it. For all the prestige of Four Seasons, I expected a lot more.

This is the only brick oven pizza spot i know of here. Totally worth the trip the view is awesome you can basically eat right on the beach. The landscaping the shopping all top notch. The service in this area is great. Friendly happy staff. Lots of great ideas for vacation trips and stuff to see. All around one of my favorite places to take people visiting paradise.

The best part about this place is the ambiance and view. The restaurant is open air and absolutely beautiful. The food, however, was a different story. The pasta was five stars, but the other dishes were a let down - the crostini for the burrata was burnt and the filet mignon was super charred. We would have sent it back, but we were a late seating and I could tell they wanted to get us out of there. The cocktails and wine were good, but don't expect to leave there spending less than $400 for two people. I would try this place again because of the location, but maybe for lunch or bar menu?

Food was good and the service is awesome! The view and atmosphere is worth it. It’s right by the beach and lovely at night. The live music was great too. The staff is extremely friendly and caters to your needs.

Had a really fun lunch here. Views, amazing, right at the ocean. Food was better then expected for resort food. Beautifully landscaped resort.

Amazing view with some of the best food I've had in Hawaii along with the best service. I booked the restaurant but at a later time so I tried my luck when I arrived 2 hours earlier before my dinner reservation time. Unfortunately they do not have an earlier opening but they do have the lounge and bar open. I was reluctant when I first read/heard about the lounge/bar but boy was I wrong. The bar and lounge is literally right next to the dining tables so you have the exact same view/service. The only difference is that you sit on lower lounge chairs with lower height coffee tables for plates. Other than that you have the same exemplary service. The service is better than any other restaurants I've had in Hawaii so far. They know when to change your places or utensils which surprisingly every other expensive restaurant should learn from. I had the garlic shrimp appetizer which is not bad but I wouldn't say it's that much better than other restaurants. However I really really enjoy the lobster pasta which serves the very fresh lobster with squid ink pasta (don't know the name of the pasta so just look at my picture). The sauce is light and flavorful with just the right amount of zesty marinara based sauce. The margherita pizza is also very well made. The dough reminds me of the napoletana style pizza which means it's lighter and more flavorful. Overall I'd highly highly recommend the restaurant over any other expensive restaurants. Oh do not forget that the view is spectacular with probably one of if not the best place for sunset on Big Island.

Am torn between a 2 and a three star. But here we go, the location and ambience is fantastic. The service is Meh not four seasons quality at all and slow. Considering the $$$$ one spends here, I do expect a slightly personalized service. But the main problem is the food. We dined twice here. First time I had a dry fish that was way too hard to eat but I went with it. Second time was an undone pasta. Feel almost helpless because its inconvenient to go out and dine. Four seasons please please fix this food taste and quality. I prefer Maui location for the food options.

One of the best places to eat on Hawaii's big island. It is right on the beach. The food is great, the ambience is great. We went on my birthday and they gave dessert as a surprise on the house. You should book a table before going there

Beautiful location, great ocean view and for watching the sunset. Lots of families and kids playing around on the grounds.

We love to watch the sunset at this bar! Seating is first come first serve at the bar and patio, so if you can't get reservations at Beach Tree don't give up, just arrive early. The bartenders are attentive and make the best cocktails. You can even order from the full restaurant menu. I highly recommend the chips and salsa and truffle pasta. My husband said the fish tacos were the best he's found on the island.

Delicious food paired with stunning sunsets this spot is amazing. Highly recommend the burrata and bolognese, they were both wonderful. Drinks are delicious and they can make a fantastic dirty martini and even have blue cheese olives! Of course, service was fantastic as usual.

Over the top…fabulous! From the Valet to the Host, to the Bartender, Chef and Waitstaff.
We are hesitant to dine elsewhere, as we will compare to the Beach Tree Bar. Thank you Tia, you were the bow on a perfect dining experience!

This beachside Cafe is elegant yet relaxed in style. Our lunch was very tasty (large salad, and daily special) and served by highly attentive waiters. It's absolutely relaxing to dine with the sight and sound of ocean waves. Will definitely return to this spot.

The view was amazing, not the cheapest place but it was worth it. The food and experience were good.

Went for lunch and didn't have to wait for a table. Outdoor seating has a fabulous view of the ocean. Food was delicious and so were the drinks. Our waiter was really friendly and knowledgeable about the food.
