Absolutely Loved Learning About The Bee’s!
We had the best time. Samples of honey were awesome. Bought items in the gift shop. The tour guide was knowledgeable, friendly, and hilarious.

We learned so much about honey bees here. Even if you're not into bee products the information on the tour about bees is amazing. Lots of great bee products, tea, skin care, food including ice cream.

We had such a great time talking with Josh about the bees! He was incredibly knowledgeable, friendly, and helpful. He was also a master entertainer.

Our tour guide there was so incredible that he made the whole experience even more fun! If you want to learn about bees, honey, and taste some amazing things, this is the place to go!

Small little shop with a few benches out front! Free samples and a very laid back, off the beaten path style. Cozy and great ice cream (made locally from the honey harvested from the farms and a collaboration with Tropical Dreams ice cream shop).

Had a great time with their passionate stuff. Learned a lot about bees. Thanks for the treats!

The bee tour was one of my favorite outings while on the Big Island. Bee Keeper Joe was fabulous and should really have his own YouTube channel. He was passionate, knowledgeable, and incredibly funny. My small kids (who were terrified of bees before the tour) loved it and so did the adults. The honey flavored treats and honey samples are delicious. A great low-key outing to take a break from the beach and a great value.

Good honey. Learned a lot. Kids will probably be bored though (bees can only be so entertaining).

Joe was such a great tour guide! He was funny and informative! Loved the drink and tart they give you! And we got some honey to go!

My husband and I loved our experience at Big Island Bees and are so appreciative of the staff's dedication to their bees. I was impressed that they watch their hives close enough to notice if they are eating their honey supply, meaning they're unable to search for pollen as much as they should. I like that they also move their hives around the island to benefit the bees in the best way possible. The staff was very knowledgeable and had great personality. I loved the honey tasting as well.

Joe, our tour guide, was absolutely authoritative in his knowledge of bees. We had some pretty esoteric, quirky questions and he was ready with answers every time. He saw him work REALLY well with 2 kids, one of which seemed special needs. He made some jokes just for them. A very energetic spokesperson for Big Island Bees!

Wonderful apiary with friendly staff tucked into a beautiful valley overlooking stunning shores. A great place to try excellent honey, grab gifts for yourself and others, and see the honey harvesting process in action.
