Boss Frog's Snorkel, Bike & Beach Rentals, Koloa HI

I'm bummed. We checked at 8am, 9am, and 10am, but they never opened. All of the signs said, "Open 8am to 5pm Daily, " but we had no luck today. We'll check back later in the week, but today was our day to go snorkeling, so we were really disappointed that Boss Frog was closed.

Johnny helped us get a great start to our day. Super friendly guy and made us all smile and laugh. Hooked us all up with snorkel rentals. Thank you for the heart to heart today. Keep being a light in this crazy world!

Greg is the reason why I was able to snorkel with sea turtles during my stay in Hawaii. I had just completed a raft boat tour across the Na Pali coast, and I was disappointed with the snorkeling excursion that the tour offered. I stopped into Boss Frogs to ask some questions about equipment, and I left with a map, a wealth of knowledge, a underwater camera rental, and 2 24hr snorkeling and fin rentals! This company knows how to help its customers.

Johnny at Boss Frog’s is THE GUY! He can hook you up with all the rental gear you need while making you laugh! My mother and 3 teen daughters rented snorkel gear, umbrellas and chairs from Johnny. He gave us great tips on the best snorkeling places and cut up with us! A well run business with affordable prices! My only complaint is that I wish we had stopped in Boss Frog’s our 1st day of vacation so we could have met Johnny The Guy sooner. Seriously, one great human being! Mahalo and peace always.

If Johnny ain't there, turn around. He was so helpful to us and had the chillest vibe. Real easy to talk to and showed us the best spots to snorkel. Swam with a sea turtle! Best experience! I usually don't review stuff on here at all, but I had to let the world know.

It's also super convenient with a protected beach great for families and snorkeling across the street! You have the options to rent for a day or week, so you can choose which is best for you. We were directly across the street and went over to check pricing for snorkel equipment. We met Johnny and he was super helpful and friendly! We rented the full face masks and were very pleased. Johnny took time to make sure I was fitted properly for my first time. Can’t wait to come back and rent from him again.

Great equipment and great service from Johnny! I’d recommend getting snorkel gear before 10am and going out for an hour. It was super fun!

Jonny was very helpful to me and my family! It was our first time in Kauai and he did a fabulous job directing us the safest and best beaches for snorkeling! We saw many colorful fish at Poipu beach. We also liked the fact that there were lifeguards available as well! The renting process was very convenient and we will definitely be renting from Boss Frog again next time we are here!

Beware of misleading advertising for this company. Current ads say "Beach Gear. Umbrellas, coolers, Beach Chairs, & more" from $3 per day. A phone call to reserve the gear determined that beach chairs cost $8 each and an umbrella was $10. That's along ways from $3. (That's from the Enterprise magazine for December 2019 page 6) When I asked them to honor the advertised price, they hung up on me! Their website say $7 each for both chairs and umbrella.

My husband and I wandered into this place before we went in to the Beach House Restaurant. We weren't going to rent any equipment at the time. Johnny from Chicago was super cool and chatted us up. We decided to come back and rent our equipment the next day. Johnny was there again and remembered us. He was super helpful and kind. Mahalo for the stories, Johnny. Keep on P313-14

We were in a bind trying to snorkel but short 1 piece of equipment. Johnny came to the rescue. Good prices, great service! Highly recommended!
