Loved my dive with these guys. Second dive was one of the best I've done. Also dropped my GoPro twice getting back on the boat and the same dive master got it back both times. Highly recommend

Just did a 2 tank dive with bubbles below. Small groups which is what I prefer when diving. Captain Clay and DM Manny were awesome. Tremendous emphasis on safety and ensuring all guests were comfortable during the dive.

Stopped several times to check out the humpback whales as it was mating season. Would dive again with this outfit when I return to Kauai one day!

We chose Bubbles Below for a couple reasons: they offered on the boat quick refreshers and I liked their website best (of course and the reviews). We had a great time! The crew (of three) were super helpful, friendly, and very accommodating. It was my first dive in about ten years and so I was a bit nervous, but the dive master assigned to my group was patient and reassuring. The two different dives sites we visited were pretty neat and when we saw dolphins or whales from the boat, the captain paused a bit to let us watch. As a surprise, I was gifted cupcakes (it was my birthday) and this personal touch (and them remembering!) made the day even more special. Definitely will dive with Clay, Blondie, Manny, and Hannah again!

Cap'n Clay was an excellent Dive Master. He made sure we were safe and comfortable and had a great dive. This was my first Open Water Dive since getting certified, and I loved it! We saw sharks, turtles, and loads of fish. When we go back to Kauai, you better believe we'll be diving with Bubbles Below! Not only were their prices reasonable, they are a small ma and pop shop and pay great attention to detail. Thanks guys!

Had a great time diving with these guys, they are super knowledgeable and have some great stories to tell as well. The equipment was good and dive sites filled with all types of flora and fauna.

I had a great experience getting my advanced open water certification here with my brother. On our first day we detoured between dives to watch a pair of humpback whales we spotted (all of the crew are NOAA citizen scientists). Throughout all of our dives we had great instruction as well.

One word for summing up this company - QUALITY. As an experienced diver I really appreciated this company and recommend them 110%. They have the BEST dive masters and dive crew around. They are highly focused on making sure you get the utmost quality dive time while out on their charter all while making you feel like family. I spent 7 out of my 10 days of vacationing diving with them. They have nailed down all the fine details of how to make dive excursions super-efficient and will closely monitor the ocean’s conditions to take you to the best dive sites available for that day. Even after having 50 dives in the last 9 months I still get anxiety and they made me feel super safe. Historically I can say I’m not the most loyal customer when it comes to anything but with these guys I kept coming back for more and will not use anyone else when I return to Kauai. I can say I definitely learned a lot while out with them and had some epic diving adventures that I will never forget.

Crystal was very helpful for the booking process, responses were fast, and reminders for the dive trips were sent out the evening before the dives. I rented a BCD and regulator, both were in perfect condition and didn’t have any issues during the dives. The dive masters - Manny and Dave were fun, helpful, and knowledgeable. Clay, Hannah, and Tom were also great. The dive sites were all really interesting and pretty with a lot of fish, turtles, some sharks, Hawaiian monk seals, eels, etc.would definitely recommend the Ni’ihua dive. Overall, very satisfied and would definitely recommend and book again.

Had an awesome dive with Clay and Dave on the legendary Dive Rocket! This was my first dive in several years, and they were both very helpful. We saw huge sea turtles, sharks, eels, pufferfish, octopi, red lion fish, and all kinds of other fishies. By far the coolest thing I did on this trip! Thanks guys

From the moment I contacted Bubbles Below, I knew our party of 4 would be in good hands. Crystal took the time to answer all of my questions and provided plenty of information for us to make a decision on the 2-tank dive that best suited our needs. Captain Clay and Manny provided an outstanding dive experience at the Cliff Hanger and Hale O Honu dives sites. We spotted rays, octopus, white tip reef sharks, barracuda, a plethora of colorful fish, and turtles galore. I appreciated the emphasis they placed on safety throughout the entire experience. We also had people in our party who had not dived in many years and initially felt nervous and the Captain and Manny did an excellent job of making them feel safe and comfortable. We will definitely book more dives with Bubbles Below when we return to Kauai.

Bubbles Below is a small scuba outfit that treats you well! We were greeted at the store for check in by Blondy who owns the company with her husband. She also brought in her little Boston Terrier so if you are missing your pets at home, BT (pronounced Betty) can help you out! We walked down to the dock and were greeted by our Captain and DM for the day, Manny. They were very warm and welcoming.
We left our slippa’s at the dock and headed out on the boat. The Captain was very knowledgeable about the island and different diving spots available. We started to go to one but it didn’t seem good for diving so we changed plans and continued on to another! I appreciate that he changed plans based on diving conditions. Manny, the DM had a great sense of humor and had a few dad scuba jokes to share! They both attended the 6 guests on the boat for everything we needed! They helped us put on our gear once to the dive site, they put defog on our masks and cleaned them for us, and they switched over the tanks for us after our first dive. When we were getting out of the boat they were just as attentive and helped us out of the water, seated us on the edge and helped us out of our BCD before we stood up to join the others on the boat. They are very safety conscious and only want you to worry about enjoying the Bubble Below!)
Down under the surf, Manny was great! He isn’t the DM that runs through everything! He goes slow, allows everyone the time to admire the scenery and points of fun things along the way! He truly loves the water and the fish below and you can tell when he talks about them!
The final thing about Bubbles Below is that they have a special rate and accommodate snorkelers and ride alongs. Some outfits won’t allow ride alongs if they have scuba customers who want to fill the seats. My spouse doesn’t scuba but enjoys riding on the boat and hearing about my adventures when I come up so it was nice to see that they appreciate non-scuba customers as well as scuba customers.

I took the dive tour out to Niihau. AMAZING experience! Sandbar sharks, monk seals, volcanic arches. Dave we a great dive master and the owner Clay was a great Captian. Highly recommend!

I had a wonderful time diving with Bubbles Below. The entire staff was extremely friendly and so helpful. Dave was great at pointing out the different sea life to us while we dove and on the boat he taught us more about what we saw. I highly recommend!

One of the best groups I've been diving with! They take great care to make sure everyone is comfortable, taken care of, and had the best sure experience possible. Clay is a great captain and Jordan is one of the most knowledgeable and passionate dive masters I've met.

I got my certification with Bubbles Below. Clay and Blondie (the owners) were very responsive to emails and phone calls. They were able to help accommodate my schedule and help me plan my dive time on island.

Jordan, my instructor and dive master, was clear during instruction and helped me feel comfortable underwater. He was easily able to identify areas that could potentially cause me problems and offer actionable advice. He also adjusted his style as I became more comfortable and he was comfortable with my abilities.

Anthony, their other dive master, was also very knowledgeable. He had several divers that had followed him from other operations in order to continue diving with him.

The boat dives were with a small party with 3/1 or 4/1 diver/master ratio. The sites they picked offered a wide variety of underwater landscapes (seascapes?) and animals (Turtles and Whale songs!). They bring snacks and water.

Everyone was very personable. Would recommend them to anyone looking to dive in Kauai.

My husband and I choose to get Open water certified with Bubbles Below on our honeymoon in Jan 2019 after reading good reviews and speaking with the owner. We were treated to two amazing days of weather and diving and the greatest captain and crew. Jordan was an incredible teacher and Anthony was a great dive instructor for other experienced divers on the boat that day as well. Our captain Clay was very friendly and informative with the safety briefing. We saw a manta ray, turtles, reef shark, octopus, puffer fish, and many rare or endemic species to hawaii (and Kauai specifically). I would go back to Kauai just to dive with Bubbles Below again. Cannot reccomend them enough!

Captain Clay and dive masters Jordan and Anthony gave us a very professional, safe and enjoyable dive. They handle the equipment and point out the critters on the reef with a writing board for identification. We saw small creatures that we have never seen before. Soup, sandwiches and plenty of drinks. Really hassle free on a small, comfortable boat with easy entry back onboard.

Bubbles Below is No Ka Oi! Diving with this shop is THE BEST. Captain Clay, Blondie, and every staff member cares deeply about their customers. We arrived on island, no reservations or previous communications, showed up at the shop and we were immediately impressed with the customer service we received. Blondie and Captain Clay described the types of diving available, how each day is managed, gave us every detail, and allowed us to ask about an hours worth of questions. This shop is Military Friendly! They have a great variety of retail items, awesome t-shirts, the boats are clean, well-maintained, safety and dive briefings are exceptional, snacks were plentiful with great choices, and this family run business will see us again! We dove multi-days, multiple dives, loved the friendly culture and atmosphere on the trips, and at the end of our vacation we stopped by to say bon voyage and we were met with thanks, hugs and some incredible memories.
