CAMADO RAMEN TAVERN reviews
13Great food, great service, get the yuzu shio and karaage. Literally best karaage I've ever had.
We loved this place so much we went twice in one week. Happened upon this place because we called ahead to see if they could seat our party of 5. They are extremely flexible and got us a table right after we arrived.
The staff was amazing, super friendly and great recommendations. Amber, our server both times took amazing care of us which resulted in a great experience for the whole group.
The food was AMAZING! Highly recommend the Shrimp Gyoza and the tonkotsu ramen. The egg, which is always how initially judge ramen, was extremely well executed and flavorful. I added garlic chips which added some awesome crunch.
Can't recommend this place enough and we will be back in future trips.
Had the vegan ramen which was quite good. However, felt very ripped off to be charged $4.50 for a green tea, in a Japanese restaurant. With tax and tip, that's US$5.50 for a cup of tea. That ruined the experience for me. I won't be back.
Tomorrow I will go to Heavenly a couple of streets over where you can get an alcoholic beverage for $5 during their happy hour.
I was craving ramen and one server at another restaurant told me about this place.
It was delicious. There’s just something about simple ingredients done right just tickles me. The whole staff was super friendly and inviting. Even my girlfriend tried some and she thought it was very tasty and she’s a picky eater.
I’m very happy that I got to experience this in in my life and while I was on vacation here in Waikiki.
May I comment that the ramen we had was delicious, that I wish I could eat all of it! They were great with alternating the meal also.
Only reason why I did not give this restaurant a 5 star rating was that we waited awhile for our entree (crumbed chicken) over 30 minutes and other people got their entrees/ramen before us. We waited an extra 25 minutes for our ramen. There was also confusion with the order, trying to charge us an extra dish we didn’t order. This is not affect our experience overall, mistakes happen!
I would also comment that the prices were decent - not too expensive. Thanks for a great experience!
Chose this place based on good reviews, but we are disappointed! Some spice is definitely superfluous, it really spoils the taste. We also ordered Takoyaki, but the waiter was apparently very busy and did not bring it, she forgot that we ordered it, but we were not very upset, as we decided to eat elsewhere. The atmosphere is good, the staff was in a good mood, they shout out a greeting and also say goodbye. By the way, we arrived there around 7 pm and were immediately seated at a table without a reservation.
Had lunch here today - ordered the yuzu shio and takoyaki tantanmen special. Presentation was great and the service was prompt and friendly. The bowls look big but were deceptively small. I think I was wondering what to eat after as I finished the last of my noodles. Price point is pretty high but I suppose that’s Waikiki. I forgot to ask if they had a Kama’aina discount. The taste is nice but the broth really lacked depth. It feels like something watered down and not simmered for hours and hours like ramen in Japan. I would potentially go back to try more dishes if I’m in the area. Total price paid with tip was $52.38 (@20% tip).
Legit ramen super delicious, good prices, and friendly service. I went here 3 times while I was on the island for a week it was so good.
Just came back from this place. The food is delicious. Very welcoming staff. So nice, quick, caring and friendly. A bit on a pricey side vs.what I usually pay back home ($12-$15) vs. ($18-$22) but no complaints. Dinner for two was $50. Will come back!
Food was amazing! Seriously the best spicy tonkutsu I've EVER had i didn't care to much for the red ume sangria but I think it's just a personal preference. Still highly recommend!
I had the spicy vegan tan tan and it was delicious! The bartender was friendly and made a great drink as well.
Delicious ramen spot with good drinks. I always go for the tonkatsu ramen, this broth was on the thicker side but oh so flavorful. The egg was marinated perfectly and the thin noodles were delicious. I forgot the name of the drink but it was tasty and went well with the meal. Also tried a chirashu bao (a must) and pot stickers, along with a side of sprouts. Definitely a must try if you're looking for great ramen in the area!
