Costco Wholesale, Kailua-Kona HI

Possibly the only Costco where you can see the ocean from the parking lot, lol! Also, prices for many items was the same price as they are on the mainland, which was a pleasant surprise. Food court is outside. It had a long line but moved very fast.

This one star rating is for Costco’s online and delivery services. I ordered a book case online and the expected delivery date is about 4 weeks. Finally on the day of delivery I was informed that my bookcase cannot be delivered because the delivery truck is full for the day and that delivery was postponed to another week. The delivery company Costco uses only makes delivery once a week. This is terrible logistic planning and poor delivery services. I regret ordering.

Hmm where do I start, Kona is already a hot transient mess. Costco staff could use some Aloha spirit in the leadership role to remind locals they're still in Hawaii, land of the Aloha.

Average shopping experience, but bad for a costco. Bizzarrely restrictive compared to every other one I've been at (they require the person paying to have their own membership. Checkout lady took a solid minute to read my id and compare it with my membership like she was my personal tsa agent). Layout is awful, people pile carts by the exit at the now outdoor food court, so it's a minefield trying to get out.

Fast and great tasting food for little $$. I recommend the cheeseburger. Kids liked chicken ceasar salad, hot dog and turkey, provolene grilled sandwich. Dinner for 4 for $24. Drinks and dessert (soft serve ice cream and yogurt smoothies) are available too. Ordering a whole pizza is also available but that may take 30 mins unless you want to order just a few slices. "

Who DOESN'T love Costco? ! If you live Hawaii, you have Costco card. Its the only place to get your bulk Spam and Cheddar cheese at a descent price!

Let's just say I expected more out of management to be more organized I find this location not to be as organized as the outer islands are I've dealt with their management before it just might be a retraining of their customer service department but there needing some help

The store has good prices, but I'm disappointed in the food court. They moved it outside and now the line is even longer. Most of the time it is not worth the wait. So much for my Executive membership.

Many good prices on larger bulk items.
Very busy store, however unbelievably
efficient check out that moves you through very fast. (A+). Best gas prices
in Kona.

I'm always amazed at the selection of items available at a Costco, more so when it's several thousand miles from the mainland. Incredible resource for the island residents, visitors, and industry.

Do they still get the polish dog?

Great for tires, except prices have been less competitive. I don’t really care for the food. Though it is a great deal.
I’ve never bought a computer from them that worked correctly. Are they seconds or something?
If they have something good grocery wise or other items, the buyer gets rid of it.
The furniture is always dark colored, buyers preference?
I really like the leather belts they sell, real leather, super quality.

Even as a tourist, sometimes you just need a taste of familiarity. Great Costco pizza, plus some things I don't have on the mainland! (like the acai bowl)

Discontinued lots of products still being Manufactured that always got here. Not consistent in everyday merchandise. Who runs out of ketchup? Not the main 1 stop shop it used to be. Checkout service quick, restroom clean, main store neat/clean sales floor

Staff is always helpful, but the parking reminds you of how patient you and others should be:)
Hard to find organic stuff though

The best place to feed a big family, give more n save less.it always crowded, they have samples, already made foods just p/u to take beach, family reunion, parties small families gathering, etc.n many others things, just hope growing more different new things.eat n take out order pizzas, drinks, ice cream, salads, n more.just love Costco.

Now that Costco food court is outside the line is so long it takes almost an hour to order. I used to stop by on way home from work a couple times a week but not worth the wait time.

It's amazing how consistent Costco is. What a well run company. This location is what you'd expect from any Costco, and they have gas as well. Maybe only Costco in world that overlooks the ocean? ! Great place to stock up for a long stay on the Big Island.

I am giving this Costco 5 Stars because of the employees. I have never seen a Costco this packed with people ever! Even during Christmas here in the Midwest. The line for food here is reminiscent of Taste of Chicago during the weekend. I'm impressed by their productivity, and how they maintain a polite disposition in such choas. Midwest Costco employees, be thankful you do not work at this location.
