Really good poke if you are looking for a good poke place in Kona. Good sized serving for a bowl and it was really filling and delicious. I got shoyu and wet hawaiian for my fish, and seaweed salad and white rice. Seaweed salad was really yummy! The only couple downsides is its pretty expensive for just a bowl (picture below). Almost 20 dollars for a small bowl. Also, since the fish was soaking in soy sauce it was really salty but it was good with the rice. Fishy flavor really came out and overall I would come back! A delicious meal for sure.

Great poke and super fresh. We arrived quite late in the day, shortly after 3pm, so we were just happy they still had fish. A couple varieties were sold out, but we did pretty well Hawaiian, shoyu, and [forgotten slightly spicy one]. Sides were quality, too, both the California roll salad and the seaweed salad.

Couple tables out front seem better if you’re urgently hungry. We took ours to go to a nearby beach.

Delicious Poke but honestly way overpriced for a simple Poke bowl ($18) and Plate ($$35). It's more of a takeout spot. It's small so good luck finding a place to eat at. If you're going to pay this much for a Poke bowl, go to any $$$ restaurants with an ocean view. Poke in Hawaii in general is pretty above average.

Their poke is the best! I eat here several nights when vacationing here. While open till 4 or later; go before 2 pm if you can as they run out. Healthy fresh food. The chicken was also great when they have it but I haven't seen that lately. Go early for best selection. Currently the plates are $35 in the bowls are about 18 to $19. They're currently opening around 10: 00 a.m. But today it was 10: 15 and there is already a full parking lot in the line outside the door waiting.

The fish was delicious and fresh. We saw the ahi tuna delivered in the am. If you don’t get there early enough it will be gone. Even got a T-shirt.

The very worn floor is really all you need to know! Very popular for years and years.

This is some of the best poke on the island. Super fresh and simply seasoned depending on the flavors/styles you choose.

Read the directions so you are ready to order (see one of my pictures)

Locals make a point to stop here and you should too!

My first experience with proper poke and did not disappoint!
This place is magical, the flavors are out of this world, the prices are very reasonable for the quality and amount of food you get.
Everything I tried here was just perfection. Thank you.

One of the better poke places we found!
On the pricey side for the portion size but it was great!
Better than Umekes imo!

I had the kim chee octopus, house poke, and mac salad. My wife had the lomi salad, garlic shrimp, and shoyu poke. I'm not going to waste my time or yours trying to describe how good everything was, as it wouldn't do it justice.

All I will say is everything was 10/10, and it's going to be hard for us to not come here every day til we leave Hawaii.

Don't miss out on this place!

10/10 amazing! I drove an hour for this poke and it was totally worth it because it was just that good! Unfortunately I discovered this place on my last two days on the island but I went two days in a row to get what I could before I left. The poke is very flavorful and I didn’t think the woman who took my order was rude at all. She was very helpful and helped me pick flavors which I ended up loving!

The food is delicious, fresh catch, can be higher price than other locations because of it. If you're getting close to closing time you might miss it depending on how busy they are. They are open until they run out of food, but its worth the trip!

Amazing food and super fast service. Everything is clearly marked for gluten free. I was super excited for the seaweed salad and it did not disappoint. My only wish is that you could get salad greens instead of rice. Loved it and will definitely be back!

I heard this place was “really good” but
unfortunately I was disappointed with the poke. Now I am a Kona boy who grew up right there and I know my poke.
The poke I got tasted like they just dumped a ton of chili pepper flakes and had no care about the quality of the poke. Some other poke my family got wasn’t much better, And it was expensive! I think restaurants are caught up in the poke craze and trying to cash in on it to the visitors who think they’re getting great poke but really are getting just some over spiced poor quality poke that is not worth the prices they are charging. So be aware just because you’re in Hawaii doesn’t mean all poke will be great! I would not recommend this place to eat poke.

One of the best Poke Bowl we had for the trip! Great price point and the ahi is fresh and super flavourful! Will definitely come back here for the Poke Plate (good to share for two). The seaweed furikake on the rice adds the additional flavour to the whole meal!

This was the best god damn poke I have ever had. The KimChi Mussels were amazing as well. The gentlemen behind the counter was slicing fresh ahi, the sauce to fish ration was on point, service was fast and professional. If I lived on the Big Island I would probably account for 20% of this places income.

The tuna was very fresh and tasted better than the poke I eat in Japan. $19 for a pokeball might seem like a good price but it's delicious. Worth eating

Amazing poke. We ate lunch here four out of the seven days we were here, and two of those days we missed were because they were closed. We kept going back to the Shack Special poke, though everything was super fresh and delicious. Hot tip.take your poke to-go and enjoy it at the little beach park that is just south (at the end of the building). You'll definitely see some surfers and there are decent chances of seeing some turtles too. Nice shaded picnic table too.
