Feast by Jon Matsubara, Honolulu HI

I went to the KCC farmer's market today and stopped by the Feast booth. The staff said they ran out of mini lobster rolls but they could do half a lobster roll if we didn't want to get a full one. I happily obliged and assumed they would charge me half the price (or even just 2/3 of the price).

They charged me $32 (with tax) for half a lobster roll.lol. I emailed them asking for a partial refund and was told "no. "

Why would I pay full price for half a lobster roll? I've been a customer since the pandemic days and this is just bad business. I'm really disappointed and will be sure to share this with family & friends as well as on social media.

No nonsense, delicious food. This isn’t the fancy night out… it’s just great fresh food. Fist lobster roll I’ve had in Hawai’i. Definitely going back to try some other dishes.

The lobster roll was BOMB! Loaded with meat and flavor was the perfect balance - not too overpowering, so you still got the fresh taste of lobster, but hint of dill, lemon, chive. Love the shoestring fries. Was a bit disappointed with the side salad/dressing.

Perfectly crispy fries - a lobster roll that’s on par with a New England lobster roll and has a delicious sweet bun. I also had a strawberry lemonade and it was perfect. Parking isn’t obvious but it’s a perfect place for any kind of day.

Holy cow! Fantastic ahi with beurre blanc, salad and rice, great big juicy hamburger, lobster roll with ample meat.

Food was excellent! Lobster roll was tiny at 2 inches long. The JFC was my favorite dish. Didn't realize there was a vinegary sauce at the bottom until halfway through the dish. Chicken was tasty enough without it.

Lobster roll was THE LOBSTER ROLL! Top! Tried chicken shawarma plate which was also great. Would come back for sure to try different things.

Never disappointed with anything Jon Matsubara creates! Next time we're ordering a bottle of wine with lunch

Very tasty food. We got the lobster roll and the Feast Deluxe plate. Everything was delicious. I realize that this place is essentially doing a high-end take on local food/plate lunches, but the price tags are still pretty shocking for the amount of food you get, especially in the case of the lobster roll. I'll probably be back again, just not nearly as often as I visit other local food places.

Good lobster roll and strawberry lemonade.it was worth the 30 minute drive. I placed my order online through their website which was convenient as well.
