Fort Shafter Physical Fitness Center reviews
11Best military gym currently. Doesn't have the strict guidelines like Pearl and Hickam. Additionally, you can register for 24 hour access. The basketball court has been converted to a machine weight room and their old racquetball court is now a bench / row room. Clean and organized.
Each machine is spaced out from the next machine. The treadmills are unfortunately out of service.
Plenty of equipment to workout with. Cleaning hours 1330 to 1500 M-F, and 1200 to 1300 on the weekends.
Update your hours so people don't waste their time then you'll get 5 starts. Great other than ever changing hours
Good military gym, although I wish they offered towels like the ones on Hickam and Pearl Harbor.
Military only gym. Staff is nice, facility is clean, ID is required, decent amount of equipment to include machine, free weights, kettlebells, yoga stuff, bikes and more. There are bathrooms and changing rooms. Lastly, there is a full court gym that is well maintained. Hours are posted but be warned that if there is a holiday hours change.
This gym needs better wifi and more cable machines. Other than that, it has a great variety for every visitor and workout style. This includes a full basketball court, TRX equipment, AFCT equipment, kettlebells, free weights, nautilus, smith, racket ball, co-ed sauna, and full gamut of cardio equipment.
Close enough for barracks soldiers to walk to and good enough to get the job done. Excellent for free.
Solid gym for a weight lifter.
One room full of machines and another with barbells and dumbbells.
No complaints
They got it all. A cardio room with bikes, treadmill and ecliptic machines.a massive machine weight room and a well maintained free weight room as well. A racquetball room and you can use their rackets and balls as well as eye gear. Basketball court too.
Cost is awesome - free. Gym is a bit small, equipment a little old, and machines are packed pretty tight. Not usually too busy, so you can usually get in a good cardio and strength workout in a reasonable amount of time. Sometimes people camp on one machine though, and you just have to do something else.
