Goodyear Auto Service, Waipahu HI

Finding a competent automotive repair shop that treats you with respect and values your time & business is hard to come by these days. Well, I believe I finally found a diamond in the rough with Chris at Goodyear at Waipahu Town Center.

I've had the pleasure of working with him handling my vehicle's service needs on 3 occasions now, and he hasn't disappointed me yet. He values my time and my business. He tries to get my vehicle in and out in a timely fashion. And, he's incredibly cordial during the service visit. Goodyear is lucky to have him!

As a result, I will continue taking my vehicles to Goodyear at Waipahu Town Center, and I highly recommend Goodyear and Chris for your future vehicle service needs. Mahalo Chris!

Nice and friendly at first but acted like I didn’t know what I was doing probably because I’m a female. I went to this place because I had a flat tire. The puncture hole was in the middle of my tire but I was told they could not fix it with just patching or plugging it (which is fine). I bought a new tire and advised I can put it on myself instead of paying $60 to have them put it on. He instantly said “HUH!? How are you going to change the tire? We have to take the rim off and put it on the new tire. Unless you have a boyfriend or someone with a car shop around here then there’s no way you can change it. ” Mind you the tone in his voice is what upset me the most because it sounded like he was belittling me.

Surely it’s common sense if you work at a tire shop that the rim can be mounted & tire balanced at most places without additional costs or a lower rate. If he would’ve politely said they don’t give that option to mount the rim and balance the tire at no cost or at a different rate then that would’ve been perfectly fine. Instead I received distasteful comments. I’m still not even sure if they provide this alternative because he tried to make it sound like ONLY a car shop can change a tire. Due to the urgent situation I was in, I told him just to go ahead and have the mechanic change it for me otherwise I would’ve went elsewhere.

Overall, I will not be returning to this place because of the snarky comments and tone I received after I initially tried to decline the labor to have them change the tire for me because I can change it myself as long as the tire was balanced/mounted. The remarks and rude tone saying only a car shop could change the tire was just completely false, untrustworthy, unnecessary, and unprofessional in my opinion.

Exceptional service! Had a mail in my tire at the end of the day with kids in tow. They got me right in, great customer service and had me on my way shortly! Thanks!

Hands down Best Service Ever! These guys took care! I went to 4 different places and all either were too busy, had us wait long, or couldn’t see me for another 2-3 days with an appointment. So i took a chance 1 more time and decided to come here. I got checked in at 1130 for a Tire patch repair and the guy at the desk told me it’ll be an hour. So I went shopping for 30 mins and came back around 12. Saw that my truck was on the lift and by the time I knew it, it was already done. Hour tops like they said from checkin to checkout. These Braddahs were super nice! Don’t go to the one next to highway inn! Go to the one at the Town center. All these bad reviews probably get mixed up with the other Goodyear next to highway inn. These guys don’t ignore you and actually talk to you. Coming back here again for any future issues. Thanks guys!

This location is absolutely amazing and truly just saved me a bunch of unnecessary money to be spent fixing an issue that was caused by the Kapolei Goodyear location! I will be strictly going to this location! Thank you guys for doing such amazing work, having great customer service and just providing a welcoming attitude!

I had an appointment at 8: 00 AM for a safety check. There were 4 customers ahead of me but only 1 service person at the counter. Terrible service as the average time for each customer took anywhere from 30 to 45 minutes to write up. I don't recommend Good Year Waipahu!? !?

Cheap "quick" service. Was quick once they told me it got started on. Had to wait for hour and a half till my tire got service, but my punctured tire was repaired for under $20 and mounted for me, as well. They were busy but super professional. Would definitely come back here for tire repairs!

I brought my car for tire repair. The first Assessor/ mechanic said "the nail is outside the center of the thread area so tire can't be repaired for SAFETY reason ". I bought the tire from them about 2 years ago & he didn't know that my tire still under warranty until he checked my account/invoice. Right after he checked, he immediately changed his assessment to "repair & see what they can do". Three hours later different Assesor/mechanic came I got me & said my car is ready. I was really surprised when he said they patched it when the other one said it can't be patch for SAFETY reason. He was getting mad at me & I didn't want anymore issues so I just signed the paper & walked away. I'm not going to take the risk & let my wife drive the car w/ my kids in it. I have to order new tire elsewhere & have it replace. TERRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE & Business/Company first over safety. I will never come back.

A few shops and restaurants to browse through while you wait for your car to be serviced. They also shuttle you to your home and opt to pick you up if you decide to not wait around.

These Guys man, Love these guys. They took care of my Vehicle. Checked everything. Excellent job by them. Will come back to these guys. Tony, that guy, my English is not that great, Good thing he Spoke ilocano and Tagalog because, if not then I would’ve have hard time communicating with these guys! Amazing! Thanks to the guys at the Waipahu Goodyear Shop. They took me in close to closing time with no problems. It was just a loose flat tire but they were pretty busy. The workers here are amazing! While waiting in line to wash our car in preparation for my daughter's high school graduation that evening, a bystander pointed out we had a very flat tire. We went straight to Goodyear Waipahu Town Center to see if we could purchase a new tire so we could get my daughter to her graduation. Although they were booked, the boys in the back helped us right away by quickly changing our tire and replacing it with our spare. Within 10 minutes everything was done and at no charge. Goodyear service is like no other! They helped us in a time of extreme need and we were able to get my daughter to her graduation on time! Thank you Goodyear for your outstanding customer service. We will definitely be back to get our tire replaced with you!

I’ve been going to Good Year as long as I was living in Waipahu for 33 years and the staff is great especially Chris and Tony.

They had a good deal on oil change and fluid inspections. I dropped off at 9am and the guy told me it would be done in 60 to 90 mins. I came back about 2 hours later and it wasn't done yet. I'm sitting in the waiting area now and it's been 4 hours since I dropped it off. I have been waiting around here for 2 hours. For an oil change and differential fluid change. I wouldn't mind if they told me to just come back in the afternoon but this is ridiculous. Def not coming back here.
