Guava Smoked, Honolulu HI

Myself along with 7 other people ordered food for pickup, and we were told that our orders can't be fulfilled due to other people who had ordered big orders for the previous day. That's horrible, and horrible for business. There shouldn't be an option to online order if YOU CAN'T FULFILL ORDERS!

The wife can speak Japanese, so we had a fun conversation.
The smoked meat was also delicious.
I would like to visit again next time.

We went on a Thursday night with a party of seven and the place was relatively quiet. No wait and we were able to order and get our food pretty quickly. The smoked pork was juicy and flavorful-I recommend. The smoked chicken was on the dry side-not sure if it’s just that day? The smoked duck and butterfish collar were amazing! So good that I went back the following day.

It was a completely different atmosphere on Friday night-there was a live band and the place was packed! My dismay was they ran out of the butterfish collar that I wanted. Instead, I ordered their smoked beef stew-it was okay, the beef was tender, but nothing special.

Note that they offer certain meat/fish on certain days.

Service was friendly and low key.

Overall, I highly recommend Guava Smoked. Go earlier if you have a big party or to ensure they have the items you want.

Clean establishment (including the restrooms), good service, and EXCELLENT food. One of my favorites. We ordered the beef stew, the chicken, and the pork.

Guava Smoked is THE place for real deal Hawaiian Barbecue! We were in Oahu for a week and tried just about every kind of food the island has to offer and no matter what we ate, Guava Smoked stayed at the top of our list. The food was top notch! We had mixed plates and were able to try the short ribs, pork, chicken, and duck. All were excellently flavored and cooked to perfection. Mac salad and rice options were awesome and we loved the dressing on the green salad (wish we could use that dressing all the time!). The staff was incredible and extremely kind and helpful. You can tell they take a lot of pride in their business and customer service. It was truly one of the best experiences I’ve had when taking my family out to eat. If you are in Honolulu or anywhere on the island, this place is worth the stop and should be on your list of places to eat. Thanks again for everything! Next time we are in Honolulu, Guava Smoked will be our first stop!

When right before closing but they had one of what I wanted. The pork was delish. Nicely smoked and the rice paired well. Definitely coming back to try their kalbi read a lot of great reviews. Guava bar was good like a blondnie.

This place had some of the best cooked meat we had in Oahu.
If coming from the main road just continue round the corner and you will see the steps up to the restaurant

I had the Guava Smoked Pork Burger for lunch.

It's all Good

The smoked loco moco is the best I’ve had! The salad with smoked salmon was a little salty, but the salad and dressing helped offset it. First time having guava smoked meat and a smoked fish with skin on, nice experience.

Came in ordered our food at the counter I got a combo plate with pork and hamburger steak they were both amazing im usually not a fan of Mac salad but it was fantastic our food was done real fast and went to eating straight away and I went in on it it was soo good

Was a little hard to find this place. The entrance is around the back up the stairs. The smoked pork was delicious as well as the fish.

Restaurant is on the second floor. An elevator is available from the parking lot in the back. We had the smoked duck, and "spicy" smoked pork. Both were delicious, though the duck was on another level. The pork wasn't spicy at all. We had kimchee as a side. It's a bit on the small side and not very spicy, but it was tasty. The Mac salad was delicious.

We went there and ate at the hotel.
There is a Japanese menu and Japanese staff, so you don't have to worry about ordering.
It was very delicious.

Got a smoked pork plate. Mac salad was good. Some of the pork was good. However, about a quarter of the pieces were 100% fat. Another quarter of the pieces were burnt and blackened which I wasn't expecting from smoked meat. The portion size is small for the price. My friend got the smoked pork burger and it tasted good but it was also on the pricy side.

I don't regret coming here, but I probably won't return either.

The place is upstairs and the entrance was through the back parking lot. We got lost trying to look for it in the front. The food came out fast and their bbq pork is really tasty. Fried rice was a favorite in the group too.

Second floor, entrance in the back. Interesting concept and pretty good flavor, but pretty much one flavor. May be a good idea to have some contrasting sides. There is kimchi as an option but maybe include some by default.
