Gyu-Kaku Japanese BBQ, Honolulu HI

This restaurant is a gem. I’ve eaten here multiple times during my stay in Honolulu. Fun atmosphere, excellent food and great customer service. I highly recommend this place.

The prepared dishes are creative and unique. This is definitely MUST for the "foodie" in your group

First time ever doing a food place like this. They bring you various marinated meats and veg uncooked and you get to grill it at your table. Weeks have passed since I have eaten here yet it still is constantly on my mind. Best meal of my Hawaii trip. Bit pricey since it is in Waikiki and for tourists. Make it in for the lunch specials and you can save some money.

Great food combined with service minded personnel. You may choose between all you can eat, fixed menus and a la carte. It is definitely not what you would call a fancy place but instead a great spot for having barbecue meat in a relaxed environment.

What a fun and great restaurant. We decided to try the ultimate all you can eat. The selection was prompt to our table and the cooking experience was something new to learn. The staff was super friendly and brought out more selections when we requested it and how we wanted (without sauce).
Highly recommend the experience.

Really good food, the meat was excellent and the cheese dumplings and salad were surprisingly delicious. Service was fantastic, my cup of iced tea never managed to hit the bottom before it was replaced with a new one.

On vacation here for 10 days, and went here twice. Excellent Korean bbq. Order the bibimbap to share with someone, it is amazing! The huge pitcher of beer was fun too.

Great experience for the whole family. Ian made it a great evening, can’t say enough about how awesome his service was.

Although they were out of the King Kalbi, still had a delicious meal. Good amount of meat, tender and juicy. Greatly satisfied. Great lunch specials too!

Awesome all you can eat menu with a lot of choices. Grill your food yourself at your table. Spent a month in Waikiki and this was my favorite restaurant. Went back many times. Great service.

Excellent Korean BBQ. GREAT selection in their all you can eat dinner special. If you are 60+ the all you can eat Ultimate Special is only $25 or $30 on the week end. We had a very tasty, large and enjoyable dinner. It was easy and fun to grill our own food. This was the best dinner we have had in Honolulu and was worth more than we paid.compared to what we have spent in other area restaurants.

Price was overall decent. I got the premium AYCE meal. Quality isn't fancy level, but it's enough to enjoy. Def not cheap, but def not fancy either, just decent quality. Place was more of a one time thing. Reminded me of Chinese version of Korean all you can eat (Korean grill / chako type of places). Doesn't seem like actual authentic Japanese BBQ.

Was asked to wait for 30mins when there is clearly empty table, the waiter had very bad attitude.

Great bbq here! Cook it to servers instructions or to your liking. Must get the all you eat premium, you get some meats that the other selection does not offer. Must try this at least once but you will want to come back again. Lots of fun cooking on the high flame.

This bbq house is absolutely wonderful. All the meats we had tasted great. The wait staff was attentive and brought us everything in a timely manner. I will definitely be back!

I ordered the Salmon Skin Salad and it was absolutely delicious! All the flavors went so well together. I also ordered the Blondie Brownie for dessert and it was exceptional. I was thoroughly satisfied. The servers were also very friendly, that's always a plus.

Made an online reservation 2 days before and I'm so glad I did. The people in line before us had a 1 hr wait whereas we were immediately seated! Our waiter was so nice, kept our glasses filled and as soon as a plate was emptied it was removed from the table. The food was amazing and the extra sauces took everything over the top! I would absolutely recommend. We did the custom dinner instead of the all-you-can-eat and it was the perfect amount, we were stuffed!

A no fuss place! We got the premium all you can eat option for our 8 peeps group, and they kept the meat flowing. The selection was great (bistro hanger steak is super tender)!

Their all you can eat policy is not vegetarian friendly. My party wasn’t allowed to get the buffet if I didn’t get it (all meat). Super bummed and disappoint. Was so excited to visit because they had eggplant to grill
