Hickam Bowling Center reviews
14A bit underrated, but I find their lunch menus really good, especially the mochiko chicken. Usually no wait as well.
UPDATE: Previously gave a 5 star review. But I take it back. This most recent visit was aweful. We had to move 4 different times due to broken lanes. They actually put people on the broken lanes after they moved us. The staff does not care about getting the equipment corrected. We pay to bowl and not on faulty lanes. The gentlemen behind the desk (African American older gentlemen) was not helpful and came off rude. We deserve better at an on base establishment. We couldn't make it through one game without having to move to another lane. Ridiculous. The food on the other hand was great.
Loved it! Enjoyed it! Clean and the kanes were in good conditions regardless how bowls got into the gutters.
Been bowling here for years, sadly only going frequently post COVID, leads with some disappointing features, understaffed, earlier closing time, no more leagues. Though sometimes the lanes are messed up, I just enjoy being there with the hope this bowling alley can be what it used to be, especially with the semi recent renovations. Can't wait till this bowling alley is up on its feet again, hopefully it's quite soon.
This bowling alley used to be good almost any time of week.not sure what happened but went here in afternoon this week and Ghost town
Honestly I was pretty impressed at how nice this place is for a base bowling alley. No complaints outside of it not opening up until 1pm!
The food and customer service was great! Just wished they had some music playing and a little more help in the kitchen.
Nice bowling alley with a snack bar. You can get pizza and a soft drink, as well as many other snacks amd drinks. I love the Christmas bowling theme!
Best lanes on the island in my opinion. #2 on the best lanes itself and #4 in the food department.
The lanes we're not not 100% functional. They were out of a lot of food items but the staff was very friendly
Schofield bowling center is way better. Cleaner, they sanitize the bowling balls as customers returns. Also for kids, they have dinosaur bowling ball slides rather than some raggedy iron rails that moves around. JBPHH Bowling Center Staff will give you attitude for requesting gutter bars to be raised because it’s manual there. Better food and drinks too at the Schofield!
Had an absolute ball bowling at the Hickam bowling alley, I bowl in a league there and we always have a Great time there.
Lanes are in good shape, food options look okay.
Rented shoes and they were sticky- nearly rolled my ankle on my first approach.
Lanes were SUPER DRY.ball would hook from the right gutter to the left and I promise my rev rate isn't that high.
Really think they should consider oiling lanes before they open at 1300.they started while I was there around 1500.
Very nice bowling center but it was frustrating we couldn't pay with cards due to issues w their setup. No atm on premises.
