Hickam Main Exchange

Very good BX. Lots of products with slightly better prices than on the economy. Friendly service staff. Found everything I wanted and some things I didn't know I needed. ;)

Great food court, great variety, lots of souvenirs to send home and found everything we needed!

Solid BX. Pretty average for a BX, but way better than the Army PXes nearby. Good selecrion of items to include clothes, furniture, toiletries and more. Prices are much better than off post. Courtyard has a Subway, Popeye's, Starbucks and Papa John's. Commissary is near, which nice also and convenient. Would recommend.

As of 23MAY22, no face masks are required for anyone in the store. One minor issue: I went there today because their website said they had three of an item in stock only to arrive and they could find none. Not a deal breaker, just annoying.

Update as of 21AUG22: Still a solid place. Good prices, better than in town, excellent selection of department store stuff. Prices on electronics are cheaper than in town and tax free. Military ID required for purchase.

Great selection of products and good prices. I found they had things here that I couldn't find at the big NEX. I also like shopping here because it's not super crowded so the time.

Good service and selection of food trucks outside but selection of items is much smaller than the Navy Exchange.

Ann in the TV department was nice, honest and full of knowledge we love her customer service we bought 2 TV's

The BX will never have more than 1 register open. "managemnt" will see customers struggle with staff and do nothing to help.go to the NEX avoid this store. "snails pace" would be improvement in service.

Really didn't get a good look at everything inside. Just went into the barber's for a cut. But they had a food truck outside serving sushi and seafood. Outside was very clean. Has several food places inside.

Things are a little bit mixed & matched and spread out. Definitely recommend asking an associate if you need to come in and out quickly.

This expansive exchange is clean, organized and well stocked. I asked where to find and item and the employee walked me right to it. Great experience!

When I came here most of the freezer cases were out of order, reducing the selection greatly. I felt like it cost more than the Navy commissary for the same amount of typical groceries I normally get. The sushi I got wasn't properly sliced all the way through and unraveled into a big mess. The poke was fresh but drowned in the shoyu sauce, it wasn't good.

Hickam Main Exchange is a functional exchange, not the largest military exchange on the island. Parking is plentiful. Located just across the street from the commissary provides the opportunity to visit both a department store and a large supermarket. Post office is also located next to the commissary. This layout is very similar to Marine Corp base Hawaii so for on base shopping Hickam is a great choice.

Ordered items online, and closest place to pick it up was here and the exchange for some reason didn’t have Kaneohe bay as a location. Items went through for payment and a week later I received a email confirmation for one item arriving and is ready to be picked and another week for the other two to be picked up. Came all the way from Windward side to be told they didn’t have any paperwork on my order or that it arrived. Customer service had no paperwork and receiving told them nothing came in. Why would you send a email saying your items are ready to be picked up if you don’t have any paperwork on it. Not I’m late for class and wasted gas driving all the way to Hickem

Supports military personnel & veterans. If you are one of those & have a DOD ID card you can try it yourself.

Customer service is decent. Not a huge selection but enough to get by. BATHROOMS ARE DISGUSTING.

Holy cow! Is this place HUGE! If they don't have it, you don't need it! Small food court and a few food trucks round it out.
