Hilo Bayfront Beach Park reviews
15Not the best black sand beach but at least I got to see one, raining that day and the beach was being cleaned by a muni crew, a lot of floats hubom on the beach from a storm
We love this place and start our day here at least 5 days a week! Beautiful views of the bay, plus stunning look at Mauna Lea
Beautiful but tourist are disgusting, someone left a used pad on the rocks! Please if you come here, act like you have some manners and if you don’t have manners please watch Barney to learn some before coming here.
Only good spot if you needing to park for the night. Otherwise you probably will get robbed. I offer nice services here. Two for the price of one. But only the brave come down at night and receive the discount. Cost is 20.00 and you will get all that you need.
It's not really kept up and the water is pretty murky because it is in the bay, but it is a beautiful area in the park with very little traffic most times.
Wish I could rate better cause this is a landmark in my hometown.but the water fleas make it hard to relax and enjoy the scenery.
The beach is alright, but the abandoned wharf spoils the experience. A good base to park when walking to red sand beach. Up the hill, past the thai and past the school.
If you like to hang out with the homeless and risk stepping on needles. To bad the ruined it for every one.
The water's cold but the beach is beautiful and the sand is hot. A nice juxtaposition if you get hot laying just get in the water and float a minute then get back to the hot sandy beach
Such a beautiful black sand beach! Lots of canoes on the beach for the canoes club. There are bathrooms and lots of beach to walk in. Lots of parking and friendly people. The water looks amazing to swing in as well. I wish I had time to jump in the water. It's definitely a place to spend a few hours enjoying.
Love watching the bay in my car or solo fishing. But a lot of times some ppl who seems sketchy are hanging around. Made me a little nervous
Place to see if you are looking for a black sand beach.
It was a first for us. It's always intriguing!
It was so cool that there's little beaches everywhere.
And, a majority of them have restrooms.
Fun place to play with sticks. Drift woods seems to always wind up here. So much wood! If you look hard, sometimes other small treasures show up in the sand too. I advise against going midday if it is super sunny as the sand gets so hot it feels like it is on fire.
Great place for a tailgate lunch. Really enjoyed watching the sailboats. Safe and fun for the family.
