Excellent location - yo u get a pool and beach in walking distance. Centrally located to everything. A must do again location.

Overall, it was ok, the front desk staff was friendly. We attended fire show with dinner. It was pretty good, but if you attended any Luau before, you wouldn’t see anything new.

Rooms are ok, it’s an older hotel. Our bath was clogged, we requested to get it fixed, but it was never done. We were mostly traveling around the island and didn’t have kids with us, so it wasn’t a major issue, however an inconvenience. We stated there 5 nights and they didn’t clean the bathroom even once, however we requested housekeeping daily.

I didn't stay there, but my friends did.

As I walked around the resort, I had to keep reminding myself that this was a Hilton.

A Hilton?

Really?

Could have fooled me.

It looked run down.

It had the smallest swimming pools that were designed by someone with absolutely no imagination.

Any hotel 6, in the middle of Nevada, would be better than this.

No hotel security for people in the pool. Come one, come all.

Some local kids took over the pool and were jumping off the ladder that is used to climb out of the pool. I thought that they were going to break something.

The place needed painting, and rust was visible everywhere.

All this, and I was there for very long.

If this is a Hilton, then they are not what they used to be.

And the beach was littered with a lot of driftwood and large trees. Ugly.

Great hotel near the beach. Excellent breakfast at their restaurant. Staff was friendly and very helpful. Beautiful hotel with 2 pools, hot tub and walking distance from the beach. Will definitely recommend this hotel for anyone staying in Kauai.

Enjoyed a truly lovely breakfast today thanks to the excellent service of Leo and team. I really recommend the Lobster Bennie! The hotel is immaculate, and I commend the Hilton team here for a job well done

Clean, smaller beach hotel in an EXCELLENT location. Since it is centrally located on the East coast, we were able to easily drive to the North and South parts of Kauai. We spent the majority of our days out doing things on the amazing island, so we really only used the room in the morning and at night. The rooms are clean, the grounds are pretty and there was ample parking. The staff was nice and helpful.

Solid hotel option that is a lot more affordable than other parts of the island.

Do NOT stay here. The hotel has a good location. That's where the positives end. Worst Hilton I've ever stayed at.

Nice location, but a complete lack of customer service for all reception staff who in no way seem to want to provide a positive customer experience, not a smile, not a 'have a nice day' except for the porter who is a ray of sunshine!
Rather ordinary rooms, partially renovated with poor soundproofing.

Very nice smaller hotel with beautiful views and a terrific staff! Shout out to Curt from Long Island who helped with our bags and gave some insight for where to go and what to do. Delicious breakfast is available as well as drinks and dinner at the best Tiki hut around with fantastic views! Rooms are very nice and recently updated. 2 pools on the grounds to enjoy as well.

Hard to expect this from Hilton but unfortunately we did experience bad customer service with bad quality rooms at this location of this amazing island. Rooms of the hotels have strong suffocating smell and may bother some and yeah dont be surprised by ants in the room. The front desk seems to be overwhelmed with so many guests complaining about quality of the rooms, bouncing guests from room to room offered little to no help to our request to move to different room. Trust me if you can afford to visit this island you can afford a much better place to stay. Leave with good memories from this island and avoid running into bad experiences like this.

Not the best place to stay! Our fire alarm went off at 4: 00AM every morning! Never had towels or coffee cups! I would not stay here again!

I recently stayed at the Hilton Resort in Kauai, and unfortunately, my experience was underwhelming, warranting a two-star review. Several issues affected my overall satisfaction with the stay.

The check-in process was delayed, as we were informed that it would be at 3 p.m, but we weren't able to check in until 5 p.m. This delay disrupted our plans and gave a negative impression of the resort's efficiency.

Moreover, the room service timing was quite inconvenient. On the second day, despite being out of the room for the entire day, room service arrived at 4 p.m, which didn't suit our relaxation plans before dinner. Similarly, on the third day, the service arrived at 3: 30 p.m, and although we declined the service, we had to request fresh towels separately. These inconsistencies were disappointing.

The poolside experience was far from relaxing. For a considerable duration, the lawn maintenance crew used a loud weed whacker, resulting in noise pollution. Additionally, the grass clippings were being blown into the pool, making it less appealing for swimming and relaxation.

The dining options at the resort were average at best. The breakfast was decent but certainly not worth the inflated prices. The same can be said for the tiki bar, where the food was acceptable but overpriced. However, I must acknowledge that the waitresses were courteous and helpful, which was a positive aspect of the dining experience.

Furthermore, both the room and the overall hotel decor appeared outdated and in need of renovation. The design and ambiance seemed stuck in the 60s, and a modern facelift would greatly improve the guest experience.

Lastly, the explanation provided for the resort fee was unsatisfactory. It was described as covering two bottles of “free” water, two hours of “free” bike usage, and the use of beach towels. However, it seems that the management should invest more in training their staff on properly communicating the purpose of a resort fee, as these amenities are basic expectations and not worthy of an additional charge.

In summary, my stay at the Hilton Resort in Kauai fell short of expectations, warranting a two-star review. The inconvenient room service timing, delayed check-in, disruptive poolside maintenance, average dining experiences, outdated rooms, and insufficient explanation of the resort fee all contributed to my overall disappointment. I hope the management takes these concerns into account to improve the guest experience in the future.

The rooms really didn’t live up to expectations. They are very dated and small. Limited walking space in the room, let alone space for 3 peoples bags. There was a large wall unit (literally floor to ceiling and the width of half of the bed) that contained the noisy ac unit. Very loud ac, contained within a very large unit that takes up unnecessary spaces in the room. Also very loud exhaust fan in the bathroom, that doesn’t turn off. Tea drinkers are not catered for in any way. They provide coffee pod machines but no kettle in the rooms. The offer darjeeling tea as a pod. If you are a tea drinker, DO NOT drink this. It ends up tasting like undrinkable coffee. There are no kettles on hand to provide either - which seems like an inexpensive oversight that would have greatly improved my opinion of the room experience. The positives are that the ocean view was pretty good, the service was good, with mostly friendly staff, who are limited by what the hotel can provide. Lots of usb and powerpoint outlets. Also the proximity to the beach and ocean pools was great - took snorkels and lots of fish to be found along the rock wall. The location for getting to different parts of the island was also really good. Try and come back early in the evening, as the parking bays get very full by 8pm

Great location to get anywhere on island. The room was in great shape and we enjoyed the ocean view upgrade. The staff was very helpful and pleasant. Fitness room was large enough for several people at a time, though there was never more than two of us at a time and I love that it is accessible 24 hrs as I was able to get my workout done before 5 a.m. I loved the barn door for the bathroom/closet. The only downfall was that the digital key never worked for my room even though it did for the fitness room.

Worst experience I ever had with a hotel. Our air conditioner was not working. On day one, I called the front desk who said they would send a mechanic to fix the air conditioner. A mechanic never came. On day two, I called again and was told a mechanic would come to fix the air conditioner. Two hours later, I called again and was told a mechanic would be "right there. " This time a mechanic did come but all he said he could do was turn the air conditioner off and that the thermostat was not working. Our stay of only two days was spent without a working air conditioner for either day. I mentioned this at checkout and was totally ignored without even an apology. Like I said, worst hotel experience ever.

Location is great, staff is very nice, hotel is a little older, had breakfast there and is pricey even for Hawaii. My dad’s room had no a/c the entire time we stayed. Their remedy was to turn it off and call an engineer to turn it back on when needed. Wifi is spotty if you’re planning to work there. Our room had roaches and was kinda dirty.
