Jared Duncan is a manipulative, pathological liar. Very poor comparison to previous owners and one of the worst property managers in the Kohala district!

Under new ownership!

I called before applying to a property and they ensured me that it was available and NO OTHER tenants had applied. So I proceeded to complete my application and pay a $100 fee. Two days later I received a message stating the property was unavailable and had been given to another renter. They denied me a refund even though it was their fault. They did offer to transfer my deposit to another property of my choice however there was literally only one other property that accepted pets and it was not even close to the quality of my first choice. Very shady business.

From the beginning Kelly has made the process of renting threw Home River an absolute delight. She was amazing with communication from Viewing the property to getting our lease set up to move into our new home next month. I’ve been renting for many years and have dealt with a variety of realty agents and Kelly by far tops everyone with out a doubt. In any future of renting or home buying I would look no further then to work with kelly and Home River.

Professional and helpful for me to set clients up with vacation rentals. They met with them multiple times and help them with everything from furnishing to obtaining items needed for the renters. Jared followed up promptly every time we needed him.

Hawaiian Dream Properties have always been a delight to work with. They have helped us find the perfect condo for us on the Big Island in Hawaii for several years. The year of 2020 has been difficult with the Corona Virus. We had booked our condo for Feb. 2021 before we left the island in 2020. They have been good about keeping us updated on the rental situation in Hawaii. As our time to travel drew close, they allowed us to push our travel decision off for an extra month past our deadline. When we decided it would not work for us to travel to Hawaii in 2021, they understood and graciously sent us a full refund on our deposit. We truly appreciated all they did for us. It was disappointing to have to cancel, but we hope to travel back to Hawaii once again in 2022. Daisy was great to work with and look forward to working with her again. Thank-You!

They didn’t take me late fee for 8 months, I rented a house from them 3000$ a month.
When I finish the lease with them they decided to take from my deposit more 668$!
It’s a ripoff don’t work with them.
They also took 1600$ for repairs, when I ask for receipts they send me a letter with the amount
But without real receipts from professional companies (cleaning.), They continue to avoid that.
Bottom line go find a different company to rent from them that’s a terrible company.

We had a great experience at the Waikoloa Beach Villas, B-23. There was a small issue with the gate code and the garage door but was quickly fixed by the on-site manager Daisy. She was so quick to respond, even when she wasn't working she was always happy to help. Overall our staycation was exactly what we needed and we would love to do it again. We rented a furnished condo from Hawaiian Dream Properties, and worked with Jared Duncan. He was professional, responsive, and extremely helpful especially since it was a big move to the islands from the mainland. Jared went above and beyond to help us get settled, and even took the time to find a package that was mailed before our arrival so that it would be available as we were settling-in. It's been really easy working with Jared and Hawaiian Dream Propety, which also set our minds at ease renting an apartment sight-unseen! We highly recommend their services, and especially Jared. We are staying at the Fairway Villas and our unit is clean, well appointed, conveniently located, and the views are spectacular. We had an unfortunate incident as a pipe broke in the master bathroom. I called Daisy at Hawaiian Dream Properties and she had someone over here to make the necessay repairs within 20 minutes. Thank you for your prompt response Daisy! We are having a fabulous time here.

My mom (who is not tech savvy) asked me to write this review. She recently rented a condo in Waikola through this proper management company. She enjoyed working with Jared and Daisy and would recommend them to others.

I'm writing this as i am very unhappy with services provided by Hawaiian dream properties. We rented from them gor a year and a half.paid on time amd once we were late because didn't know they don't accept payment on Saturday.so they charged us daily rate 2 days in a row. Now when we moved out they still haven't returned our deposit check. They are late by a whole month so will they pay me now for being late? Also when we moved in the house was in a very poor condition.walls not even painted with ugly patches all over. We left the house in better condition then it was and they still found a reason to charge us for the filthy old dirty dishwasher that we never used! Just unfair and they don't follow their own rules only if it works for them!

Jared and Daisy went above and beyond for us. They are easy to work with and made our 1yr stay in Waikoloa an amazing time. Mahalo

Daisy and Jared made our staycation at Waikoloa Beach Villas the best ever! The unit, B-23 is absolutely gorgeous, so roomy and has icy AC. The pools were warm but still refreshing and the jacuzzi was hot and relaxing. Covid has the tourists down and we felt like we had the place to ourselves. We really needed to get away and now, as its not so safe to travel far, a staycation was the only vacation we could safely justify. HDP went above and beyond! Highly recommend you contact them first.

We have had a very positive experience using Hawaiian Dream Properties as a Property Management group for our vacation rental in the Waikoloa Village. They are very prompt in responding to our questions and have taken care of a couple issues and special requests for us while we were at home on the mainland. They are very professional and knowledgeable and we highly recommend them.
