Went to Home World Furniture and was greeted immediately by an associate. We were asked what we were looking for and shown several options to choose from. At no time did either of us feel pressured to make a purchase. It was a very pleasant experience. The associate, went as far to make sure we got the best price availabl, gave us a list of all furniture stores who carried the same item we were interested in. The associate suggested that we go home with the list and check the other stores out before making our decision.
We did just that but didn't get the same treatment as we did at Home World in Hillo nor did they have the same amount of inventory either. I was surprised how we were pressured to make an immediate choice and make a purchase at the competing stores.
In the long run we decided to go back to Home world and make our purchase. If, in the future we find the need to buy more furniture we will go to Home World. We will tell family and friends about Home World when they are looking for furniture too.

Jaiden took care of us and his service and personality was great. He gave us space when we needed time to decide. Great experience overall.

HomeWorld Hilo has the worst customer service and employees that have no idea what they are doing. I went in to purchase a living room set, was not greeted nor assisted. I should've known right there not to make a purchase or ever come back but giving the store a chance I went through with a purchase of a leather sectional, tv stand, coffee and end table. The delivery went alright so I went back to purchase my dining room set a couple months later. The person helping me rang up one chair, one bench, and the table. Gave me the price with the protection plan. I go over the paperwork and ask why there is only 1 chair.add $1200 plus more for the protection.the set comes. The bench is damaged. Still haven't received a replacement. This is where I should known for sure never to go back. It just gets worse. Went back a couple weeks later to purchase a bed. Purchased a split king. The employee told us it was 1 prices for the base. The delivery came well guess what? We have one bed on a base and one bed on the floor. $2800 later. We have to pay for another base. The employee says he will schedule for the next available time which is suppose to be this Saturday. I call because I haven't received an estimated time for Saturday and another employ tells me it's scheduled for the next Saturday not this Saturday as promised. I am beyond upset. When I spoke to the manager regarding her 2 different employees mess ups she says there's nothing she can do but if we want to buy something else she can give us a small discount. I would not recommend this place. You will not be treated like a valued customer.

Purchased 2 power reclining sofas with extra 3 year warranty. Motor burned out on one after 2 years but still under warranty. Repair person came to assess and said he would order new part. After continuing to call for status for one year, was informed that warranty had run out. Never buying anything from here again.

Absolutely fabulous customer service from Kit in Hilo. This is the 2nd time I have called to order in less than a week. He was able to get me exactly what I wanted and an additional item I was looking for that did not show online. He text me pictures of the Stressless leather chairs on hand in Hilo and I found one I am sure to love! Kit will definitely be my first call for all my future furniture needs.
