Honolulu Zoo

Very disappointed. This has been the worst Zoo we've been to. Lack of animals, so many areas not well maintained.

It was pretty depressing actually, even if all the animals are feed and taking care of all the animals we were able to see look sad and lonely. In my opinion all the animals should be transfer to a better place, not all animals are conditions to deal with the heat and didn’t see any cool place for any of the animals to scape from the heat. Not worth paying 21 dollars for the conditions I saw.

The zoo grounds are spacious with plenty of park space for children and lunch. Beautiful greenery. Not much up-and-down, so easy to walk with children and strollers. However, it was hard to see many of the animals, and some exhibits were closed. We've been to many zoos, and this one is good for getting outside and enjoying the day, with an okay children's zoo section. Good Asian elephants, many lizards, and a few other interesting animals. But to be honest, the animals were the least interesting part of this zoo.

Nice place but unfortunately most of the animals are super depressed. I don’t blame them they cages are way too small or they’re are alone without a partner. U can see the sadness in they eyes. Hoping someone read it and do something about it.

It's worth a visit at least once, but be aware that there is no shade at all, so the animals don't come out often because it's a hot day.

I had never been there before, so I decided to go there since I had free time.
There are many places to play, so it is recommended for families with children.
It was my first time to see a ``Giant Salamander. ''

Normally, Japan has the best zoos and aquariums.
It seems that many American children have never seen a live fish, and I saw a child making a fuss at the port on the Pride of America. I guess they came from inland on the mainland.
Indeed, in such a meager zoo there is no knowledge. Japan is amazing.

Pretty good zoo, be prepared for alot of outside walking and it will be hot so bring a hat and drink bottle. The sloths were a stand out with a 2pm feeding and talk.

Peaceful experience. Many animals were not in the external enclosures (possibly due to heat). Had a WONDERFUL and enthusiastic Keeper's chat at the elephant enclosure. Good reprieve from the sand. Walked from Hilton Hawaiian Village to the Zoo, and it was easy to reach. Limited food/treat options. Piced appropriately for the offerings. Aside from the elephants, my favorite feature were the trees. Just don't see anything like them on the mainland.

This is an extremely walkable little zoo. Located immediately next to Waikiki Beach. This was a highlight of our trip.

We so enjoyed going to this zoo! It was so worth it! The elephants were so captivating! We went on messenger to share this experience with our grandchildren! Loved the zoo!

All the animals where asleep when we got there so we did not see alot of the big animals.recommend going in the afternoon. You can walk three entire park in 2 to 3 hours.

It's quite big inside, suitable for bringing children. It's greatIt's very comfortable and the air is good

Highly recommend for any age. Even for under one year old, the zoo has so many things to see. The keiki zoo inside is super fun too. Our 8 month old loves to see the goats and the giraffes the most. The food in the concessions stand is pretty good. They have waffle dogs (yum), salads, fruit, and burgers. It's a great place to take the little ones any day. We have a family membership because we love going. If you are driving, be sure to park at opening (before 10am) or you might have to wait or walk a bit. Either way, the membership pays for itself because you can get discounts on food and gift shop. Whether you have one hour or four hours, there is so much to see and the staff are amazing. Great place to go for the whole family!

Good for a little break from the beach but unfortunately we didn't see many animals. I guess they were all hiding out in the shade but it was disappointing that we paid $80 to not really see but a few animals, on the bright side it was a beautiful day, we got exercise and dipping dots. Maybe try going a different time of day (we got there when they opened).

Adult entry without being military is almost $20. The zoo is a good size and has good amount of parks for the little ones!

This was a small zoo, with all the requisite animals, with the exception of any kind of aquarium, which was a bit surprising. Well laid out with several well shaded areas.
