Hualala’i Taxi & Tours, Kailua-Kona HI

We had a flight at 6am and this taxi service saved us as no one else was available to pick us up even though we stayed literally 10 mins from the airport. Our driver Ella was on time and everything went smooth.

Nel is a wonderful person! I had forgotten my iPad in the hotel, and I realised when I arrived the airport. I was so upset. I called this company for asking a pick up between the hotel and airport. And he appeared in 10 mins!
He was assuring me with his kindness and great Japanese language during on the way. Thanks to him, I got my iPad and my return fright. Forgetting my iPad turned into great memory. I really appreciate, Nel!

Even though it was very early morning (5am) I could met Nel and I was almost miss the plane but I could make it thanks to Nel! He was so nice and I will never forget his all kindness.

We called multiple taxi services and Nel Showed up within 10 minutes. Picked us up from the pine tree cafe and took us to the airport. Excellent service!

It was 4: 30 am.waiting outside on that starry night with all my race gear in hand and my mom next to me an hour went past. At about 5: 30 am the lyft I ordered the night before canceled. I was supposed to compete in my first annual Lavaman triathlon! With the late heads up I went back to my air bnb and tried to call taxi's but mail boxes were full.
Nel picked up and arrived in about 10 minutes. Thanks to him I was able to arrive 15 minutes before my race and compete.
It is more expensive than an Uber or Lyft but more reliable to take a taxi for race events and flights. We called Nel's buisness card and waited outside after the event finished. He had Belgium chocolate and sparkling water for us and showed interest in how my first endurance race turned out.
I had fun in Hawaii partly because he was my taxi driver. My last day in Hawaii he picked my mom and I up and gave two home grown mangos. They were delicious! He didn't know this but I was lacking a lot of sleep and very sad and stressed but with his happy energy he pulled out two mikes and let us Karaoke with him. I decided to play along and my mom picked Celia Cruz, the salsa queen, "Rie, Llora, " and it was so fitting to the mood to let stuff go and live your life that it helped me to move foreward to whatever I was sad about. I am grateful for this Taxi service that helped me get to and from my race and to the airport. If you get Nel as a driver that is a six star experience and I am full of gratitude for that. I have not met such a memorable, kind Taxi driver to this day.

Nel was amazing. We called ahead of time for an airport pick up. Nel was waiting for us at the airport cold bottles of water in hand. Not only, did he drive us to the hotel. He also gave us an informative tour of the island as we pasted sights and landmarks. Very knowledgeable about the island history and volcanic eruptions. Will use again.

Aloha: Here I am AGAIN.
I was in need of my new friend, Nel Venzon, for a reliable pick up to the KONA AMBULATORY SURGERY CENTER, and a ride back home, about an hour later.
As usual, he was upbeat and even a few minutes early, picking me up from home. After my colonoscopy, he was right on time to take me back home.
I've lived in Kona since 1977 and have NEVER found a taxi service so reliable. And bonus points: Nel is a reliable, honorable, and honest man. You won't be sorry if you call Nel Venzon for your taxi needs.

The owner saved my life today. After finishing TURO service and dropping a car, I could not get any Uber and Lyft to the airport. Uber driver actually cancelled booking because of inconvenient location. Went to nearby grocery store and asked taxi service but any taxi was not available. Finally I called Hualala’i taxi. He kindly took me to the airport.

Our taxi driver Nel saved our life in the big Island of Hawaii. We desperately needed a taxi service early in the morning at 5 am and Nel came and picked us up 2 days in a row at this time. He was very sweet and came on time to pick us up. I highly recommend Nel and his taxi service.

We had the absolute pleasure of having Nel Venzon our driver who was outstanding. Despite current impact of Covid, calling out of the blue for an immediate pick up and Nel not being on the clock, he dropped everything to pick us up. Not only was he timely, but extremely friendly; conversing with us the entire time and giving us insider tips on the best things and locations to check out, as well as what to avoid. Couldn’t recommend him enough!

Nel was such a pleasure to ride with. He took us from Kona to the Hilo airport, for we could not obtain a rental car in Kona. He provided us with waters and went out of his way to stop for leis when we mentioned our interest in getting some. He had great insight to the islands history/ natural features and where we should visit while on our stay. We will defiantly be using his services again if we are to ever return to the big island!

Nel was the only one who was ready to take me to the airport early in the morning! A true lifesaver. I would recommend him to anyone who wants to not worry and have a great ride!

Nel was our hero of the night! While visiting Kona, the keys to the rental car got lost at the beach, so my husband and little boy were trying to walk six miles in the dark on the side of the road! (The car rental place never came to help them!) I was in Utah and felt quite helpless, luckily I called Nel at Hualala’i Taxi and he said that he would rescue them as soon as he dropped off his current customer. He had my husband text which mile marker they were at and Nel found them! He took them to the car rental place so they could get the spare key and Nel kindly waited for them so that he could then drive them back out to where their car was. Nel even texted me to let me know that he had found them and that they were safe. Nel went above and beyond and truly is our family’s hero! Thank you Hualala’i Taxi and thank you Nel!

Best service on the island! Nel was amazing and helped us in an emergency find a hotel when they were all sold out. My daughter and I were stranded and he was amazing, he treated us like family and helped above and beyond. It he only taxi service I will ever use on the island, he is the BEST!

Mr. Nel was very kind and helpful. He was the only one who was considerate enough to take us at 11pm to our destination for a very reasonable cost. He even gave us fruits as it was very late and we might not find anything to eat at that time. He also helped us to get back to the airport at the time we had requested. Overall he is a vey sweet person and i wound definitely suggest him.
